Facebook Messenger “Confirm your identity to send messages” -Mine disappeared after about 28 days without verifying

I got this message on Messenger:

“Confirm your identity to send messages. Certain actions have been restricted due to unusual activity.”

I couldn’t send messages and thought my account was permanently flagged or hacked. I searched everywhere and most posts said to upload ID/selfie verification.

For anyone stressed about this: in my case, I did nothing. I never verified my identity, never uploaded ID, never contacted support, and after about 28 days the restriction disappeared on its own.

A few things from my experience:

I could still log into Facebook normally

The restriction only affected Messenger sending

I avoided spammy activity while waiting

I didn’t keep retrying verification

One day it just started working again

So if you’re seeing this screen, there’s at least a chance it’s a temporary automated restriction and not a permanent ban.

Quick poll – does your Corolla's steering wheel return to center after turns?

Curious what other Corolla owners experience — after taking a turn and letting go of the wheel, does your steering naturally find its way back to center on its own?

Asking for both directions — turning left and turning right. Does it return the same way from both sides?

Not looking for debate, just genuine experiences from other owners. Appreciate any responses!

Hey all, looking for some advice on how to handle this.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Woodstock, va and had a pretty bad experience. We booked 3 rooms total.

🦠 Room 124: found what appeared to be black mold inside the AC unit. I ended up feeling physically sick and couldn’t breathe through my nose the entire night.

🪳 We reported it and got moved to room 125… which had cockroaches.

🚪 When we brought everything to management/owner’s attention, instead of resolving it, we were told to leave the property.

On top of that, I later found out there was a recent health inspection noting issues like musty/mold-like odors, high humidity, moisture damage, and dirty AC units with debris/insects—so it doesn’t seem like this was a one-off issue.

The hotel only refunded 2 of the 3 rooms, even though the entire stay was affected and we were asked to leave.

My questions:

💸 Should I be pushing for a full refund for all 3 rooms?

🏢 Is it better to go through corporate (IHG) vs. disputing with my credit card? We used Priceline..

📄 Does having documented inspection issues help my case?

📢 Any tips on how to escalate this effectively?

Appreciate any guidance—this is the first time I’ve dealt with something like this.

⚠️ Warning to anyone staying in Woodstock, VA ⚠️

I wanted to share a serious experience so others are aware. We checked into a Holiday Inn Express and were first given room 124. When we got inside, we found black mold in the AC unit. I ended up feeling physically sick from it—I couldn’t breathe through my nose the entire night.

We reported it right away and were moved to room 125, but that room had cockroaches.

When we brought everything to management’s attention, instead of resolving the issue, the manager told us to leave the property entirely.

Between the mold, pests, getting sick, and how it was handled, this was a really concerning experience. Please be cautious if you’re considering staying here.

Ps, before I could even get back to the room to retrieve my items the manager or someone had deactivated my key card so I could not enter the room to retrieve my items, housekeeping had to let me in!?!
