Anyone here worried about regret?

I have a floral half sleeve as well as a few scattered tattoos on my body. I’m thinking of getting a chikorita tattoo because it’s always been my favorite. It’d be my first “silly” tattoo, like a tattoo of a character. I’m a little nervous about it. Chikorita means a lot to me but i worry about being a 40, 50, 60+ year old woman with a chikorita tattoo

I’m very normal about Chikorita

I paid a stupid amount of money a few years ago to get the vintage 2001 chikorita plush that I had as a kid.

Would these be worth anything? Got them for Christmas a few years ago

Tin has been opened, lunchboxes are opened (like not plastic sealed anymore) but the cards are not opened. I’ve got two lunchboxes each with 11 decks in them. As well as the 5-pack box that is not opened but has some damage to the box. Where would I go to sell these, if they are worth anything?

Does this look like happy independent play? He’s busying himself in this corner of his playpen switching between the piano, table and muffin tin

As far as I can tell, my son is very happy playing independently. He’s an only child and is likely going to stay that way. Unless we look into adoption. But I’m not having another child for sure. He much prefers me to be sitting in his playpen with him, but he just busies himself with his toys and I wanna make sure he’s all right and happy!

I’m a SAHM to an 8 month old and every day is kinda boring 😭

I just have the one and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be OAD. Traumatic pregnancy and birth, also he’s a rainbow baby. No interest in being pregnant again.

I’ve got a play pen for him so he has a safe place to crawl and play in with toys that I swap in and out. He’s perfectly content playing, preferably if I’m hanging out in there with him. I usually have the tv on for background noise. He hardly ever watches it, it’s mostly so I’m not just sitting in a quiet room.

I feel so bad that I check his owlet predictions on when he’s gonna be getting g sleepy again decently often. It’s boring playing with him and i feel guilty if I’m still hanging out and he’s content in his playpen and i might play my switch or something. I try to get us out of the house every day. This week was particularly busy and we had a lot of errands. I wanted to take it easy and we haven’t left once today. And I’m so bored 😭 I’m writing this while he contentedly plays. On days like this where we’re not going out, i try to at least go on walks or have him sit in the plastic baby pool outside but both options are SO HOT out.

So I’ll also do activities we did when I was a daycare teacher like taking tape off the wall - today I put balls in a muffin tin and he’s having a great time with that. I just always feel like i should be doing more, and I feel bad when I’m bored or on my phone, crocheting, playing a video game, etc.

My family all lives out of state and I do have a pretty good mom friend and we hang out a few times a week. But like I said, we’ve just been hanging out today and these are the days I struggle with. Any activity tips or ways to keep you and baby busy/alleviate Mom guilt?

Any new(ish) moms still feel their epidural spot/ruminate on traumatic birth?

I’ve been afraid of giving birth my entire life and holy shit I should’ve been more afraid. I have a nearly 8 month old. Only child, second pregnancy after a MMC. Also, family history of late term stillbirth so I was fucking terrified and stressed my entire pregnancy, couldn’t enjoy it at all because every day I knew it could end at any time.

Took a childbirth class, but really my entire plan was to just get every available medication and not die. Baby measured big the entire pregnancy. At my last scan at 36 weeks, his head measured 42 weeks and off the charts. I was so scared.

Ended up in labor for almost exactly 24 hours, pushed for 2 hours. The epidural hurt SO BAD to get. Like holy shit. I was trembling, it hurt so god damn bad. I also felt like it didn’t work very well. At the worst damn part of birth it was wearing off and I was begging for more. 4th degree tear, failed attempt at using the vacuum to get him out.

Within a week of being home, I was back at the emergency room because my 4th degree tear exposed my urethra. It was awful. I was in so much pain.

I don’t know if I tweaked my back recently but I’ve been feeling my epidural spot like crazy lately. I can feel it right now laying in bed. Like a dull ache.

Sometimes I lay awake and think about my traumatic birth and cry, or sometimes it just hits me during the day. People ask when I’m having a second and I have ZEROOOO desire to be pregnant or give birth again. It was the worst experience of my life.

Can anyone relate? Am I just especially bad at this?

Anyone notice sometimes food tastes bad?

Had some leftover pizza i was gonna have for lunch today. Has it fresh yesteday and it was perfectly fine. I took one bite today and for some reason it tasted like pure soap or something. I’ve only been on compounded version of Wegovy for a week, haven’t even weighed myself yet.

There was definitely no cilantro on the pizza and I don’t have the soap gene anyway. My parents said it tasted fine.

I’ll be starting this medicine next week. Excited but nervous

Currently 5’6”, 200lbs, GW is at least 150, preferably even like 130 would be crazy.

I’m a bit nervous of the side effects. My mom was telling me that if you basically eat too much or too little, you’re gonna get sick. She’d occasionally wake up in the middle of the night because she went out to a fatty dinner and get sick. Same with my brother who goes hours and hours without eating. He gets sick.

AITA for hiring a guy to edge our lawn after husband hasn’t done it in weeks

According to my husband, our edger is broken. So when he mows the lawn once a week, the edges by our fence look abysmal and have only grown and grown. I’m a SAHM and I’m tired of looking at the overgrown edges. He mowed today and I asked him to do the edges and he said he would. He finishes mowing and comes back in to shower and the edges aren’t done. He says he can’t get the edger to work. That’s fine. Father’s Day is coming up anyway.

So I take to my local Facebook page and ask if anyone can come edge my lawn. Guy says he’ll do it for $20. Husbands is acting pissy now. He literally told me “OP, if this is *that* important to you, I’ll go out and buy an edger.” I said this guy will do it for $20 and I’d rather have it done and also get him an edger for Father’s Day.

Am I being unreasonable or petty in anyway?

I feel so guilty and not sure what to do when baby had an allergic reaction

My 6 month old tried both asparagus and lobster for the first time yesterday at Mother’s Day lunch. He had a piece of lobster he didn’t fully consume, he spat it out. And then he gnawed on an asparagus spear for a few minutes because he seemed to like it.

Right after the asparagus we noticed these hives on his arms and cheeks. We wiped him down with wipes and gave him water and they disappeared in a few minutes. He was never upset.

But holy hell did this freak me out. I was crying at my first ever Mother’s Day celebration. What do I do for a baby if they have an allergic reaction? He’s had shrimp before and been fine, so I’m not positive if it was the lobster or asparagus but I feel like it was more likely the lobster.

It hit me after that I’m unprepared if he has an allergic reaction and seeing him with hives hit me like a truck. Also, I’m not even positive which food gave him the reaction.
