Car Camping in State Park with Suppressed SBR

I really don’t know if this question has been asked here yet. I’m camping at a state park with my gf in VA Beach this weekend and wanted to bring my AR with me. I have a valid CCW and will be carrying my pistol. But was wondering if I’m able to have a loaded suppressed SBR with me while I car camp in a state park.

[Virginia] Got laid off in January and got paid during that time till May, VEC demanding 6k in repayment

Hey guys, I was laid off in January and was receiving unemployment benefits from that time till May when I finally found work. I then immediately filed with the VEC stating that I found work. I thought nothing of it and received no correspondence from them until today. When I received a email stating I have a retro DQ and installment plan from them. I checked my portal and now I have an overpayment of 6.4k on my file. I don’t even know where to start to take care of this and will call tomorrow. Any suggestions here?

Question about traveling to CA short barreled ARs

Short story, I moved from CA last year and only brought with me my pistols. Fast forward to now, I have an SBR with suppressor and FRT. I visit my dad in CA twice a year. I’m in the process of redoing my CA ccw for out of state people and understand that I can only carry my pistols with 10 round mags and am not allowed to carry a short barreled SBR or AR pistol on my person. However, am I allowed to disassemble my SBR, suppressor, and FRT then bring the gun with me for range and HD purposes at my dads place if I buy some 10 round mags and a mag lock?

My late night cheat meal - Shrimp Donburi

Made shrimp donburi with tempura battered shrimp and sweet potato. Also added some pickled radish and cucumber to cut down on the fat. Served with green onions, homemade tempura sauce, and furikake flakes.

From foster to my own

I started fostering this girl in college and decided to adopt her when I made the move across country to Virginia. She has been the best doggie I’ve ever had.

Learn from my mistakes with my 1st time shooting a FRT

First of all, finished my FRT build earlier this month but have had multiple problems with the cam and lever of my arc fire. Finally got it fixed and function tested well. Decided to go to the range yesterday to test it out and found it works the hard way. Everything on my gun works and shoots comfortably/smoothly in semi. However, when I shot a 6 round burst for the first time in SS, I ended up shooting the ceiling of the range. Found out that my pistol brace was not as stable as it was shooting semi and it collapsed when I dug the brace into my shoulder shooting it in SS which caused me to lose control of the gun. I also found out that my optic and suppressor was also not torqued down properly to handle the constant vibrations of SS.

So the moral of the story / TLDR is that please don’t be like me. Ive seen too many instances at the range where the person is shooting SS for the first time and just loses control of their gun, myself included. If this is your first time shooting SS, shoot 5-10 rounds first to see how your gun functions and how you feel shooting it. Then make the necessary adjustments to the gun and your control/grip of the gun before going ham.

My edc

Shoots very well for its price point and eats any type of ammo with ease. Currently carrying it with a x300u and “we got SRO at home” plus running it with 124g Federal HST +P

Bought my first Surefire today

This gun came with a fake surefire and I always wanted to put a real one on. Went to a gun show today and someone sold me a x300 ultra for $200. I now understand the surefire hype and appeal.

Arc Fire Troubleshoot in Suppressed 11.5 inch AR

Hi guys I’m running a 11.5 inch AR with a Polo K on it. I’m running an arc fire and I have everything that the kit asks for; full auto BCG, mil spec lower, g$ h3 buffer and braided spring. I tested it out yesterday suppressed and the gun goes through a 3 round burst and then goes to semi. The gentleman shooting next to me stated I should keep the h3 buffer and put in my old mil spec carbine spring. Went back again today and I’m still getting a 3 round burst but it goes 3 more shots semi then back to burst then back to semi. Any advice here?

My humble collection before the ban

I’ve spent too much at the moment and I think I’m done with buying at the moment. My AR is the way I like it plus my ccw pistol shoots perfectly for both concealed and competition usage. I have an AR 9 lower waiting to be built when parts are going to be cheaper and I have 6 AR mags and 3 pistol mags. My next purchases I’m thinking about getting a Shield X Comped, a 22, 1301 Tac, and a 308 bolt at some point in time which can be added after the ban.

Finally got my first stamp

OCL Polo K on a Poverty Pony AR pistol build with a PSA upper. Never thought about owning a suppressor before in California, but now that I’m in VA I thought I would take advantage of it.

Need some advice

I started my career a year ago in sales at costar working the full sales cycle including client servicing too. I got laid off a couple months ago and am now working at Intuit as a BDR selling mid market AP/AR products. I’m only a contractor and am only making $25 a hour remote. However, I do have a chance to be promoted to an AE at the end of the contract if I do well. I’m also in the middle of the interview process for Toast for a mandarin speaking BDR role making $70-75k a year and is fully remote. I am not worried about the money and am comfortable with my current pay. I’m in the beginning stages of my career and am just worried about what I should take or keep doing to better the outcome of my career path in the future. What advice would you guys give me here?

Looking to restore violin

I’ve played the violin for over 15 years before I took a hiatus from playing. It’s been 6 years now since I’ve played and would love to get back into it. I found this one on Facebook marketplace and love restoring old things. What would it cost to bring this violin back to life and playable again?
