The easiest way to mine that I can think of is just having a pulley that drills into the ground, but after you get to the bottom you have to move it somewhere else, and if you do youll just have a bunch of random holes in your world.

I like to keep my world clean so Im trying to figure out a way to drill for resources (and just to create cool machines) without doing this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Im a new rider and saw this guy’s videos. He teaches “friction brake” which is releasing the clutch more at the end of a stop to keep the bike upright and using the rear brake to slow down. As opposed to just pulling in the clutch when coming to a stop.

I can see that his advice works when he demonstrates it but it seems really complicated for just coming to a stop. But there are only cruisers in his videos and I have a sport bike so idk if it would be the same.

Any more experienced riders have thoughts on this?

Edit: you can search up be the boss of your motorcycle on YouTube, he has over a hundred videos of him teaching friction brake.

But basically he’s saying when you’re coming to a stop and the handlebars are going left and right because youre going so slow, go into the friction zone to maintain balance and use the rear brake to come to a stop.

Sorry if it’s a dumb question. I’m looking at a used bike that has this. From a quick google search it says it’s not street legal, does it not matter? I see a lot of bikes with similar slip ons

Found the bike on fb listed at $5.5k, it has a small dent in the tank from a drop, but otherwise tires and everything look pretty new. Should I ask for lower?

This would be my first bike and first time buying a used bike. Are there any questions I should ask the owner?

I’ve been emailing dealerships to get prices on the 2025/2026 ninja 500 abs. I couple were in the 7k range, but one dealer gave me a 6k price for a 2026.

This seems really low? They included the breakdown like doc, prep, tax, title all that. Could they lie over email and pull out different numbers when I actually go to buy?

I just started working full time and really want to get my first bike, but it will be September-October by the time I save up enough money for it.

I took a course a couple months ago so I feel like i might forget everything by the time spring comes.

I know there might be discounts during the fall, but idk if it’s worth buying just to ride a month or so and then stow it away in the garage.

Im working from home in a room in the house that has a really bad connection Once a hour or so Ill have like 30 seconds where everything just stops loading. Besides that i mostly get 2 bars instead of a constant 3 bars like in other rooms

What are some things I can do that will improve my connection in this room? Thank you!

Im buying gear for the first time and it seems like everyone recommends to buy used (except maybe a helmet) to save money. But I cant imagine putting on gear that someone else has sweated in, that just grosses me out. Is it just me?

My iPhone 14 Pro has a small semicircle of dead pixels on the edge of the screen. It’s been there for a few years and hasn’t grown in size.

I really need to replace my battery but what will happen if they somehow break the screen or something else due to the dead pixels? Worth the risk or do I just get a new phone?

Hey guys, I’m planning on getting my first motorcycle soon (probably a ninja 500) and I’m overwhelmed with all the gear options. I definitely want to be as protected as possible but still be somewhat practical since I don’t want to walk around looking like a power ranger. So far I’ve only got gloves (rst tractech evo 4).

I think I’ll be doing a little bit of everything - riding around town, backroads, highways, and maybe track further down the line. I’d appreciate any advice for what kind of gear to get and what brands are good (I’m a pretty small person if that matters). As well as how you balance protection with practicality. Thank you!

I hate myself

I thought I built it far enough under my house that it wouldnt catch fire but alas

New player here, it seems like every time I play I get a crafting bug at least once where i cant craft anything/the output is glitching out and I have to restart my game. Gets me out of my groove and is really annoying.

Is this happening to anyone else/is there an update or something I missed?

Its not that driving on the highway by itself makes me anxious. Its the other people.

So many times I’m just passing by someone and they start drifting closer to my lane and I get scared they’re going to change lanes into me. I speed up and half the time I look back in my mirror and they drift to the other side which makes me think they actually didn’t see me.

Or someone 2 lanes over is switching to the lane next to me, and because I’m not in their side view mirror they don’t see me, I’m worried they’re going to switch one more lane right into me.

And just people driving erratically and switching lanes suddenly. I can’t drive next to a car without eyeing them to make sure they don’t do something stupid.

Stuff like this happens to me nearly every time I’m on the highway and I don’t know what to do about it if anything. Anyone else experience the same thing?

Im having trouble coming up with things to do in my world.

For those that are into farms and automation—are you coming up with the designs yourself? I only have a basic knowledge of redstone, and I wouldn't get any enjoyment out of copying and building a farm just for the sake of it.

Im more of a builder, but Im lacking inspiration on what to build. I have a couple towns that have their own theme (castle, winter village, desert town, etc) and somewhat connected lore but im not sure what else to do besides just build another town.

Due to elbow issues, I get pain when my elbow flexes past 90 degrees. I am wondering if its possible at all to build muscle when I can only do 1/3 range of motion.

I can do shoulder presses, dips, bench press, etc. I just cant go past 90 otherwise I get pain.

Even before their blinker is on. Like people will just hover around a gap or stay close to one side of the lane.

Plenty of times I’m like that person wants to merge, and 5 seconds later they merge with or without blinker

I’m looking for inspiration for what to build in my own survival world. Airships and stuff don’t really have a purpose with my elytra and me not needing to travel long distances.

Ideally looking for things I can integrate into my builds to make them more lively. For example I already use base create for things like fans, elevators for my apartment complexes, stuff like that.

Just stumped on what I can use aeronautics for besides long distances travel.

I’m getting my first bike which will probably be used to save money. But I dont have any idea how to check if a bike is in good condition/worth it.

Also I wouldnt be comfortable riding the bike home, how would I transport it? I dont have any friends that ride.

The tachometer doesn’t show RPMs instead it shows % power or something. I regularly get up to 75% on the highway while passing or on the on ramps. Is that fine for the car or should I ease off it a little?
