Looking for tips to get started with plushie making!

So I REALLY want to try making my own plushies, but I'm not sure how to get started. Are there any beginner tips/tricks, or things to start with? I want to start with something small without too many details, think maybe a capybara, a literal blob, or a Ditto.

Are there fabrics that are best for beginners? Anything helps

Ash died in the first episode and was in a coma the whole time.

Hear me out.

Ash fell off the bike (I think also a cliff?) in the first episode, then later got hit with a giant thunder bolt. How could a ten year old survive that?

More evidence:

In the last episode of "to be a pokemon master", ash meets the dead boy sunny/sonny and I believe only he and Pikachu can see sunny/sonny. At the end of the episode, sunny/sonny tries to pet Pikachu bit fazes through him. Then, ash actually fazes into the ghost world to hug sunny/sonny. How could Ash not be dead?
