Glue and Paint for Big Sword

Glue and Paint for Big Sword

I got Yasha Nydoorin's Magician's Judge from Critrical Role 3D Printed for my Yasha cosplay. I've used wooden dowels to connect the different parts (not all are finished) but I want to glue them too. I just don't know which glue is best for this.

I also want to paint it so that the metal parts look metal and I want to be able to paint the details on the crossguard too. I don't need it to be super professional and I don't want it to look used, old or worn down.

I will be taking it to Critical Role's live event in October In London so I will be sanding down the sharp points but I'm not sure of the best way to do that either.

  1. What glue is best to use with PLA Matte 3D prints?
  2. What paint is best to use on PLA Matte 3D prints?
  3. Do I need to do anything to it before I paint it?
  4. How do I sand down sharp points?

[Spoilers C3] FCG's Emotional Clock 3x34

Does anyone know what all the emotions are on the clock Travis/Chetney gives Sam/FCG? They mention a few but not all of them and then Liam says 9 o'clock is just Marisha but idk what emotion that is either. It's too small to make out in the episode.

Switch 2 Cases in UK

I'm not sure if this should be tagged Discussion or Question.

I've been looking for months for a nice Switch 2 case (since release). But most of them are plain and boring. Where's all the cases with characters on them? There's loads for the Switch but none for the Switch 2. I've seen that there's loads in America but none here? None that I can find any way. I don't understand why we don't have many cases for the Switch 2 here when it's bigger than all the models of the Switch. Did Nintendo and third party companies forget we exist?

Fidget Toy Suggestions?

I find it easy to focus on video games because my hands are always occupied. That's like a fundamental part of playing games. But when I watch films/shows I need to do something with my hands.

My go to has always been to either play solitaire on my computer or play a mobile game. But I'm fed up of missing half of what's happening on screen while doing those things. I've tried to just sit there and do nothing but I can't stand it.

I've bought fidget toys off Amazon but they don't work for me. I get bored of them easily. Including a stupid little cube that has a joy stick on it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fidget toys?

Weird Reaction to Heat?

I'm not sure if this is an autism thing, or something else.

For the past few weeks while it's been in the 20s C, there's been a few times where I've found my self feeling incredibly sick like I was about to throw up. One time I did throw up. This is because of getting too hot. But I haven't felt hot and I haven't been sweating. But as soon as I cool down, I stop feeling sick.

I bought a wearable ice pack thing for when I get too hot and have a drawer full of the 2 in 1 tiptop things in my freezer to keep me cool, but I haven't been having/using them because I haven't felt hot.

I'm someone who normally sweats a lot especially my hands and feet. I even bought a cream thing a few years ago, to stop my hands from sweating but I didn't like it so I didn't use it very long.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what's causing this?

HDD Makes Gaming Hard

I got a Seagate BarraCuda 24TB 3.5" SATA HDD/Hard Drive 7200rpm, specifically ST24000DM001 so that I could have all my games installed on it. It was only released 2 years ago.

When I got a new computer, the case I got doesn't have a 3.5" drive bay in it so I got UGREEN's Hard Drive Enclosure to connect it via USB 3.0, which I was told wouldn't affect me playing games.

But while playing PowerWash Simulator, a game that doesn't need an SSD, my HDD goes to sleep and frequently has to reload. Some times this makes my game close and I lose progress. Which isn't too bad with this game but would be awful if I were to play one of my RPGs that don't need SSDs.

  1. Why does my HDD keep going to sleep even when it is in use?
  2. Is the enclosure not working properly?
  3. Is there something wrong with the HDD?
  4. Is there something I can do to stop it from going to sleep?
  5. Is it the eclosure's smart chip that's going wrong?

Programs Opening on Wrong Monitor

I have my main 32" monitor set as my main display in display settings and my 24" monitor is my side monitor. My 32" is display port and 24" is HDMI. (I don't know if this effects anything). I have checked this multiple times. I also have Remember window locations based on monitor connection turned on.

However, programs keep opening on my side monitor instead of my main monitor. I have no clue why. I have tried doing the shift + close thing but that only lasts until my computer restarts. Some programs I want to open on my side monitor like OBS but most things I want to open on my main monitor like photos. But I have to keep turning my side monitor on long enough to drag the windows to where they're supposed to be and then turning it off again.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

Sunglasses

I've always had trouble finding sunglasses that actually block out the sun. I need prescription glasses/sunglasses and bought some from Glasses Direct because my opticians didn't have glasses I liked. (Green glasses aren't that common.)

For my sunglasses I got rainbow frames with polarised grey lenses. But they don't do much to block the sun including glares on cars etc which polarised lenses are supposed to do. I've never found a pair of sunglasses that block the sun enough that my eyes don't hurt.

Does anyone know where I can get speciality sunglasses in the UK? I've heard Specsavers have some but I couldn't actually see a difference when customising sunglasses online. I've also heard of Theraspecs but they're USA based.

Private Obsidian Wiki?

I want to create a wiki for a project I'm working on.

It's an AU of an existing tv show. The only things I'm keeping from it are the characters and maybe some locations. I want it to be completely private, so only I have access to it. I did create a Fandom wiki but realised other people would have access to it if they stumbled across it.

Would Obsidian be a good tool for this or is there a better one?
Can I create themed "pages" in Obsidian with coloured backgrounds, images and videos or would it all be boring white text on a black background?

Staying Cool in Summer

I recently got a new computer and my RTX 5070 seems to make my room hotter than my old RTX 3090 did. Or maybe it's climate change that's made the situation worse, idk. But while my components seem to be fine; CPU: 48 GPU: 47.95 & 52, my room feels like an oven. I live in a mostly brick house in the UK and I don't have air conditioning. I did try to just have my window open but with how hot is it outside it didn't help at all.

Does anyone have any advice on how to stay cool with a gaming computer making the room hot?

Watch Order

What is the chronological order of all of Adventure Time?

I found a list of intended order but this doesn't seem to include Distant Lands, Fionna and Cake and Side Quests.

UK Keycaps for Corsair K100

I'm fed up of the plain black boring keycaps on my Corsair K100 keyboard. I've been looking for UK layout keycaps but I keep finding USA layout even from UK sellers. I would also prefer ISO layout.

I'm looking for something a lot more fun. I'd prefer something relating to a video game I like (I've seen Cyberpunk and Witcher) but the only ones I've seen are USA layout. If not, I'd like some sort of image. I've seen keycaps that have ninjas or flowers, or something. And if there's none of those in UK layout then I want rainbow keycaps.

I've also seen keycaps that have the UK layout printed underneath the USA layout which I don't want.

Black Screen

I have the MSI B860 Tomahawk WIFI and the MSI RTX5070 World of Warcraft Midnight Void OC and the MSI Spatium M560

I put it in my computer fine last night and everything worked. I installed Windows 11 on my SSD and installed the driver to connect to the internet.

Today, I took the wires out the back, took the gpu out and put the tower on the bottom shelf of my desk. I took the gpu out to do that because I can't put the screws in it so I keep it in place with the stand I got with it and the stand I had previously. I turned my computer on and my monitor gets a signal, it shows the MSI screen where you can select to go into BIOS but then the screen remains black. I can see my mouse and move it around but I don't see my log in screen.

I went into BIOS to disable fast boot but that didn't help. I have XMP1 on but it was on yesterday when I installed Windows and everything seemed to be working fine.

Pressing Windows + ctrl + shift + B makes the screen flash but nothing changes. Pressing ctrl + alt + del doesn't do anything. Pressing ctrl + shift + esc doesn't do anything.

Tattoo Cover Up Options

I got this tattoo done 15 years ago when I was 18 and now regret it. I got it done in a tiny tattoo studio in the back of a Blue Banana shop. It was the first (and only so far) tattoo I got and I just wanted my favourite animal. I'd heard realistic wolves were hard to do, so I thought this one would be easier. I liked the design when I saw it on the wall but my tattoo never looked as good as that.

I'm hoping to cover it with a new tattoo but I have some questions about that.

  1. Does the tattoo cover up have to be black?

  2. If not, what colours would work best?

  3. How much bigger than this would the new tattoo need to be?

  4. Would it be best to get a tattoo sleeve?

  5. If I get a tattoo sleeve should the whole thing be designed/planned out before hand even if it might take a while to complete? (Several months depending on price)

  6. Could the new tattoo have some light colouring like skin tones or purple/white/yellow? I'm thinking about getting characters from an animated tv show.

Sharp Metal

I have the MSI B860 Tomahawk WIFI and the MSI Spatium M750 Pro. I had my SSD in the 5.0 slot near the CPU. My BIOS couldn't detect my SSD so I was trying to take it out. But it wouldn't come out easily. I finally got it out but the sharp metal covering the backplate scraped skin off my index finger on my left hand and the skin was still on it so I had to take it off. The sharp metal on the heatsink of the SSD also cut 3 of my fingers on my right hand 7 times and thumb 4 times. Thankfully only 2 of them are bleeding but I'm a germophobe and wash my hands often so that's gonna hurt like hell.

Suggestion to MSI: Don't make the metal on your products so sharp and give a warning.

Suggestion to anyone else who has these products: Wear gloves to protect your hands.

M.2 SSD Help

I have the MSI B860 Tomahawk WIFI and the MSI Spatium M750 Pro but I can't figure out how to put this SSD in the 5.0 PCIe slot. It has a huge heatsink so I can't use the EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II with it. The website says you can you the included black tool to take out the EZ M.2 Clip II but the black plastic on the clip prevents the tool from fitting.

How do I take out the clip to install my SSD?

(Also why did they put a heatsink on this thing if the heatsinks on their motherboards are good enough?)

Mice with Detachable Wires?

I was wondering if there are any mice that can be used both wired and wireless? My parents keep having trouble with their wireless mice but my mom thinks the wire somehow gets in the way on wired mice?! Idk doesn't make sense to me but I can't convince her otherwise.

Imo wired mice are more reliable with their connections to the computer so I was wondering if there were mice that can be used both ways so that my dad can use it wired and my mom can use it wireless?

They don't game so please don't suggest some expensive gaming mouse. Their budget is roughly £50

Fluance RT85 or Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2

I'm thinking about saving up for either Fluance RT85 or Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2, I've heard people rave about the Ortofon 2M Blue Cartridge on the RT85 but What Hi-Fi gave Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 a 5 star rating award and I think the EVO 2 maybe sounds better but the RT85 is a bit cheaper. They're both supposed to be audiophile turntables.

I have 3 questions:

  1. Which do you think is better?
  2. If the EVO 2 is better is the extra 100 worth it?
  3. What else do I need for these turntables?

Integrated Graphics But Need Grahpics Card?

I'm working on my parents computer since they know nothing about it. They have an ASUS Rog Strix motherboard but I don't remember the exact one. They don't have a dedicated graphics card anymore because it stopped working. But they shouldn't need one because the CPU the Intel i9-10850K has integrated graphics; Intel® UHD Graphics 630 which should be enough for just browsing the web, watching videos and ripping CDs.

But when I turn on the computer the motherboard beeps 1 long and 3 short which is a problem with the graphics card. Is it because there are wires still connected to the psu that were in the gpu? (I'm about to take them out but I want to make sure there's no other issue.) Or do I need to reset the CMOS? Or do I need to do something else?

Edit: I took out the wires and reset the CMOS but it still beeps and won't go to BIOS

Missing Metal Things in PSU Wire

I opened my new PSU today happened to look in the wire (I don't normally check) and noticed two missing metal things. Is it supposed to be like that? Do I need to return this PSU too?
