Hi everyone,

I'm an Indian student who's interested in applying to Berklee, and I'm trying to understand what the admissions team actually looks for.

Do they expect applicants to already be absolute masters of their instrument, or are they more interested in potential, musicality, and uniqueness?

My background is mostly in Indian music:

• Tabla (intermediate to advanced)
• Harmonium (intermediate)
• Singing ghazals and semi-classical music (intermediate)

I don't have much experience performing Western music, although I listen to it quite a lot and enjoy it.

Would a background like mine be considered an advantage because it's different, or is Berklee mainly looking for students with strong Western music training?

Also, is it practically necessary to know things like piano, guitar, music production, DAWs, or Western music theory before applying? Or is it completely fine to specialize in an instrument like tabla and build those skills after getting in?

I'd really appreciate hearing from current students, alumni, or anyone who has gone through the admissions process. Thanks!

I have this fried who got 93%ile in mains , he talked to a agent (multiple agents infact) who claims to give him a cse seat in dtu/nsut for 12-15 lacks , im like wtf how is this even possible in such a good clg. And he was confident kyuki agent ne paise admission ke baad maange hain. aisa hota hai kya "tier 1" college me bhi ab??? plz tell . if no then ye scam kaise hua if hes asking for money afterwards???

I'v decided to start this journey from RE 2 remake (is it the right choice??). Should I start with leon's or claire's story? I know nothing to very little about the whole re universe (I watched gameplays while eating).

currently playing FC4 , after some missions i realized its pretty boring and repetitive. Variety is missing , quests are also bad , same destroy convoy , loot etc . and Im a big story gamer . In every mission till now its pretty much same - go to the location kill some guys yayy thats it , thats shit. i enjoyed primal much more

I love the comfort and fit of overtheear but i sweat a lot and the cushion becomes wet and starts to chip off after some time, stinks too. Anything inside the ear gives pinching pain in the ears and a headache. but i'v heard that iems are best in this range for audio quality. what should i do? i like to lay down and listen to music sometimes which cant be done by overear headphones. I was a big time wired user but now Im addicted to wireless devices, so overear seems better. plz help........... i want something comfortable in ear as im treble sensitive , which also has ood quality as i may consider producing music in the near future

ofc thats not gonna happen with me, threshold for that is much higher for that to happen but i always thought ki exams ke baad khush rahunga , relaxed , poora din gaming etc kahi bhi ja paunga , but its not happening , college bhi fixed nhi hai , so much stress. counselling and all sucks itna confusion and attentive rehna padta hai sala rankers ka hi sahi hai ek baar daal do iit whatever and mil jaega no fuss ,
