So I have tried for about a month to find a girl, but it just doesn't seem to work. And I just don't know what to do. And so I'm asking the ones that should know girls the best - Girls!

Entering the 3rd floor, I tried to look for the room I was sent to. "212, Room 212, Room 212" I was repeating in my head over and over. I went about ⅔ of the way to get to 212, and entering, the first thing I saw were lot of dark and ghostly symbols. "That's why she didn't want me to enter" I thought aloud. It was her room.

I entered the unclaimed bed (The higher one), Which looked pretty much untouched. So I placed my backpack next to me, And fell asleep in 3 or so minutes.

​

The next day, around 7:00 a.m., I woke up, took my backpack and went down the ladder. But I realized there was one problem. I didn't know what to do now. I don't have any personal stuff, I don't know the schedule, nothing to entertain myself with.

​

"Psss... Lilyyy, wake uuup." I said to sleeping Lily, shaking her gently. She took her pillow and smacked me with it. "Don't disturb me when I'm sleeping. I need my 10 hours" she said afterwards. "What time is it?"

​

I looked at the clock and told her "It's 7:02 a.m." She looked at me irritated. "Short 10 hours... Kill me." she mumbled. She woke up and sat on the bed. "What do you want, twink?" she asked me afterwards.

​

I asked how it's going around here (The schedule and everything) And Lily told me pretty much everything I need to know.

​

"The time you wake up on is pretty much free. Some guys even work at night. But I only know what is the schedule of the normal grunts.

​

So after you wake up you go get a breakfast. Normally people get a toast, some meat, fruit and drink. Then you hang around in your room until you get instructions, which are mostly for you and your partner. Although solo missions aren't rare. It's also pretty common yu go a full day without a mission

​

The missions range from Patrol to Helping the scientists below, sometimes you even get exciting stuff like fighting some bad guys. Although that's like 10-15% of the missions.

​

If you don't get a mission, You usually go help in the kitchen, cleaning the rooms or some other crap. You also get extra money, so it's beneficial. You can, of course, just do nothing all day.

​

At night, we usually get big dinner, go get a shower and then to our rooms. Or that's at least how I function."

​

While she was telling me, Lily was going down to the dining room, but I pressed 2B instead. "Are you going to visit Janice?" Lily asked me. "Yeah, I want to check on the poor Natu from yesterday. I hope he's okay." Lily just shrugged it off.

​

Going through the lab to Janice, I noticed that, behind the glass, there was already that Natu. So I rushed to the doors, opened them... And there he was! Alive and Jolly!

​

I asked Janice what exactly was wrong with him. "Well, He was bleeding under his wing, he had several bruises around the body... But nothing I couldn't fix." Said Janice. "Thank you so much" I told Janice. "You're the Best!" She seemed very flustered from that compliment. I told her that I will come for him later and that I

​

I went to the dining room. But the moment I came in, EVERYONE went quiet. Like I was some kind of a villain or something. I just went and took some food (Toast with Lechonk bacon, Sitrus berries and Petlil tea with Bounsweet sweat if anyone is interested) And sat in the only free table. It was one first food in 2 days. I one half ate in under 30 seconds.

When I finished my food, I started to think about what if I get into Team Sky. "Will I even find some good people here?" Was my main question. But I also asked myself stuff like "What about Money? How much freedom do I get? How much danger will I be put in?"

​

While thinking, Lily came up to me and sat with me. "Just so you know I'm sitting here because I'm sorry for you, not because I like you" She said snarkily. Didn't need to add that, but I'm happy she at least had a REASON.

​

"Uh can I ask you..." I started quietly. "...Why is everyone looking at me like I'm some form of a demon." She looked at me surprised I didn't know. "Tell me, If your boss brought in a CLEARLY malnourished kid, that looks like he just bathed in ashes, how would you react?" Honestly, Valid.

​

After I finished my meal, I heard from the speakers "Mephisto, Get to the Leader's Office" said by Mr. Mikey, repeated two times. After hearing this, Lily said, sad, "I'm still not getting used to Mikey's voice." I don't know what she was talking about, but I didn't have time to ask.

​

When I got to the office, I saw Mr. Mikey, being... Disappointed? He shook his head in the way of the chair, and I sat down in it.

​

"Mephisto" Started Mr. Mikey, Abruptly. "Team sky has enough place to support ONLY 75 people, opposed to 200 capacity of other teams... And we have to be picky about who we take into our team... And so you have to understad...Some people don't get in"

​

I was... DEVASTATED. It felt worse than... Anything, really. I love it too much here. And before I'm even accepted, I'M ALREADY KICKED OUT. I tried to hold my tears inside. But I just felt like to God's fool again.

​

But then... Mr. Mikey stood up and put his hand in front of me. "And I'm happy to say that YOU, Mephisto... Are not in that group of people..."

​

"YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY A MEMBER OF TEAM SKY!"

I couldn't hold it anymore. I started crying, but not because of hopelesness, but because I was HAPPY. I hug Mr. Mikey in the burst of Hapiness

"If there is anything you want to tell me" Said Mr. Mikey, while trying to free himself from my hands, "This is the perfect time to"

I stood for around a half a minute, thinking what to say. And then I told Mr. Mikey:

​

"Before I met you, I was nobody... Nobody worth existing. I thought I existed to suffer and to be tortured. And I never thought it will get good... But you made me believe... Believe that, after all, even I deserve good life...... And so, I, Mephisto of Team sky PROMISE you on my Head, my Mind and my Soul that I will not working until I pay you back.. Or die"

August 25th. I came back from work. Hanging my coat by the chair, I notice that my girl's Meowth wasn't there, and saw a note on the table. "That's weird" i said. Who could it be left by? I took it and opened it. It was Crystals's (My girlfriend's) writing. "I'm leaving you. I found someone prettier".

Understandable...

I live in a magical world of Pokémon, Creatures which can use the power of elements to fight. But I don't really care about that. It's cool and all, but i have one too many problems to be amazed.

My girlfriend left me,(As you could see before a moment), I got kicked out of my school due to me having two jobs and thus having bad grades, one of which they fired me out of due to me doing homework and not my actual work (What a Paradox)

But there's still some upsides to it! I live in Dylia, a City-Region, one of the best in the world! And also the best apartment in here (Price/Quality wise). I also have my friends. I enjoy their presence, but sometimes they make too much fun of me. And i still have my job with Dr. Cherry, a Specialist on Pokémon Symbiosis and Rivalry. And the one that introduced me to my girlfriend.

I'm honestly not even that angry on her. I am not Really attractive. I'm 5'10", Have brown hair and a little hunch. I also have no muscles, Brown eyes and fair skin. Which she said she doesn't like on a guy.

"There were a lot of signals that she hated me." I thought at the moment. "It's only my fault that I didn't notice quicker"

Taking out some ingredients for my dinner, I thought about what to do now. I don't have a girlfriend, school and only one job. I might try Tinkler or some dating app... "No that's stupid" I said to myself. But the job thing is more important to me. My apartment isn't sustainable with Assistant of a minor Pokémon Proffesor's salary. Maybe a cook? I am pretty good at making food. Or a pokemon breeder? No, that's a feminine job, friends would laugh the hell out of me.

As i continue making my dinner (Healthy Hamburger and fries), I hear a knock on the door. I open it and see the landlord. "Hi, could i get my money?" "Sure" i replied. I gave him the money and shutting the door, he walked away. This is probably my last loan paid on time... Unless i find the job

I ate my dinner, watched TV, showered, and then went to bed. "I have plenty of time tommorow" I said quietly "I will pick then..."

I fell asleep.

The next morning, while waking up, I was reading trough some newspaper and found out that the "Bariados Bar" is looking for a new Busboy. "Looks interesting" i said. So I ate my breakfast, put a coat on me and went out. I had a day off from Proffesor cherry, and decided to go ask the Baradios owner for the job.

"We already hired someone, I'm sorry" Said the owner, a buff man with a thick beard. "He not only has a bug Pokémon with four hands, but he's also very helpful on his own" he continued. "It's okay, sorry for interrupting your work". Walking away with the newspaper in my hands (I kinda suspected that someone else would take that easy of a job with salary so big), i was looking for any other job in it... But nothing. I either didn't have the qualification, the job wasn't paying enough, or it was too hard.

I just sighed and threw the newspaper in trash.

It was 9 a.m., the time when my work with proffesor starts. I go to a white building with a Brownish red roof (Quite small might i add, even for an introvert beyond the town's border). Knocking on the door, i notice Prof. Cherry's Elgyem is outside the house... Watching me? Checking me? Reading my mind? I don't know. Then a loud "Come in!" from Proffessor comes out of the house. I come in, bumping into Proffesor. Ms. Cherry is a tall, athletic woman with glasses and a strongly tanned skin and (Not natural) Red and purple hair. Hot.

I dress into the white coat of mine, and ask Cherry what's my job for today. "As per usual" her tired, yet smooth voice said. "Rewrite notes into the computer, make then more clear, take the mail out etc.". "Yes ma'am", i replied. Going into the work on the computer, i notice Elgyem is still watching me. "Why does he keep staring at me like that?" I ask.

"Oh yeah. I try to find out if i can project telepathy into a TV screen". Without hesitation, I start just doing the assignments and try to think about nothing except work. Which is really hard when the closest building is a Restaurant.

I do the various work, and at 5 p.m., ready to go, Prof. Cherry stops me with an somewhat disgusted, somewhat angry "Hey cutie, i need you to come over here" (Which, btw, is the first time she ever said something like that). I walk towards her. "What's the problem, ma'am". I wait to get scolded, get fired, or Gravity-ied by Elgyem. But instead, she gives me a piece of paper. "I need you to go tomorrow to watch the Pokémon interactions betwee midnight and 3 a.m. (I have it the least documented)" she said while i read the paper. It was a sheet for Pokémon interactions. I just thanked her and went.

I FINALLY HAVE AN IMPORTANT JOB! To this point it was just a bunch of officework, but i can finally do something normal! But the i remembered, i need to find a 2nd job. So i took newspaper out of a trash bin and went looking for the places to work in.

That day, normal and uninteresting, turned into a torture later.
