been producing for about 2 years, but only made trap beats. I wanna get into making video game music now, but its a lot more complicated. So i thought of learning music theory. Any good videos or books on it for a complete beginner ( i did pick up a few things producing over the 2 years, but still no in - depth knowledge)

also, any suggested plugins for this genre? ive been just using soundfonts.

i struggle with this sooooo much. I dont know proper music theory and got into production via making trap beats, so this genre for me is a lot more dynamic and confusing (cant just make a 4 bar loop, put a drum over it and call it a day lmao)

Like, I will be able to come with a decent 8 bar chord progression, or a nice little melody, but then I have absolutely no idea how to turn in into a full fledged song.

Im also really struggling with writing even a half decent bass line.

Moreover, I am also struggling with my sound selection. I dont know what it is, but i swear no 2 instruments sound good together for me. They just seem to either simply not work together, or clash with each other. I am using soundfonts fyi.

I really like this subreddit and what it's trying to preach, so It's a request to the mods to maintain the quality of this subreddit.

Unlike most of reddit, I don't mind AI images all that much if the person using it is transparent and it actually serves some purpose, but most users here just put absolutely no effort and post low effort content. Plus it just creates a lot of confusion.

My requests are:

1.- People using AI must have [AI] or something along the lines written in the title itself. It will help clear confusion as in so many posts I see people who might not be as well versed with AI, asking if the image is AI generated or not.

2.- The Generated image itself must serve some purpose and not be low quality. So many posts are just "here's what this city could look like if we become developed" and it's just a stupid Ai generated image of some place with probably the prompt "make this city look more developed and add some random indian architecture".

These sorts of posts add no value and should not be allowed.

Thing is, with an extensive and exhaustive prompt, even an AI generated image could convey a lot of information and help in better exchange of ideas. People could propose their solutions to different problems of our country for instance, and help articulate their thoughts better with some AI image.

I hope the mods take my thoughts into consideration.
