Luxor type 1209274, anyone else have this brand of components?

Luxor type 1209274, anyone else have this brand of components?

I got this deck from my gruncle for free, and am waiting for my family to visir later in the summer again by car so I can bring all my treasures up north.

However one of the VU meters lamps flickers or something like that? Not exactly flickering but slowly brighter dimmer when powered on. The play button pops back up after about a decond of it being pressed whilw power is on, so do FF and REW. I assume it needs belts and a new lamp for the meter. Any places with new lamps and belts? I can't find belts and the same kinds of lamps seem to vary an amount in price and availability that I feel like asking advice. (I also want to try deep green lights for the deck and meters)

And for the deck itself, everything seems to be in more or less working order and in it's place. I am vexed by it having the EQ settings of [70] [70] [120], and it having a ferrichrome position on the tape type selector. Also having only a mic in and AMP plugs (5-pin 180 DIN), I don't understand where the line input comes from?

Also, I'm gonna try look through the old booklets and such for an instruction manual and if I find it, scan in somehwere. Also the Dolby NR grade is unknown to me, which may be an issue..

I hope I'll get far with this and the tuner amp and a turntable, though the DIN cables continue to vex me..

Wosh me goodluck I guess? And anyone else with a Luxor system can share theirs :)

Great gradfather's (or his father's?) camera. What is it?

It uses some kinda plate negatives, I think I see? What kinda camera is it? Brand and model? Won't ever sell it and I hope I get it from my stepmother when she passes some day in the far future..

It's pretty, I like it, is there any chance it works? I have a lot of questions and like all old stuff but, unlikw with literally almost everything else, there's no documentation with it...

VW Jetta A2 Coupe I'm asking to get for fixing from my family

All the glass is intact, no mould, almost no rust and even then not mich deep rust, Benzin engine and about 450k km on the odometer..

Wish me luck on my journey for a first car, I love this lil piecw of garbage.

Advicw is welcome, I'm surprised the rust isn't so bad as I thought, cheers!

I have some Luxor I don't k ow the brand of, needing new belts but otherwise works like a dream.

Any idea what actual model this is? It's 98% surely a rebadge of a continental european or then a japanese brand, I feel..

I feel like this is a nice component, got both the receiver amp and this deck for free, just need bulbs and belts and everything's good (also speakers, cannot take ones I tested with up north since they're so shite in condition...)

Needs DIN wires too, but idk what place would sell some? Eh, I can go looking someday when I actuslly have these in my apartment..

Anyways, not a bsd primary deck I'd say? Any recommendations for a secondary deck thst fits the style of teak and aluminium?

Cheers, opinions are appreciated as long as my taste in components is respected.. :D

Somw Luxor comonents, unsure of exact model number.. Need slight bit of advice/help

Going to pair these with a nice teak ASA turntable..

They both power on, but the bulbs are dim or burnt out completely, and I'd wish to get green ones or dark blue ones, but idk if there's any good ones for sale anymore?

These are a set from thw 1970s, tho not ecatly same width.. I'm planning on using my TV stand to house these, but I assume the amp/tuner combo havimg vents on top needs a bit of airspace? The comonents are gorgwous and actually feel qualitieous :)

Much bwtter than my black plastic 1990s setup that I'm using. Though one problem is all my components use 2 pin or 5 pin DIN cables which there's none of thst I found for ssle easily... I'd prefer to use authentic DIN cables without adapters, and I wish I could find a suitable speaker set too.. Any ideas?

For a total investment of cutting grass and sorting + clesning old tools and 15 euros, I feel like this is going pretty well and I may judt be lucky :)

I am in love with the system already and have small bit of plans ready :3

Not looking for audiophile level stuff, but something good within a student budget of around 50-60€ of "wasting money", as grandma says, per month after bills.

I also need a new belts set for the deck, but I havd no idea where to begin, or if there's any service for belts for the TT and deck?

Cheers, any advice would help as long as yall respect my components choises. :)

Problem with old Italian Everest ST

This lil bastard sometimes starts like, machinegunning I guess? It just starts completely randomly pressing the same key rapidfire if it's pushed down hard? It doesn't cause big issues, I have 10 meters of correction tape butbit's annoying,..

Any help to this? What is the cause even?

Also a plus question is, how do I get this safely by car a ~400-500 km north..? We'd have a lot of stuff to bring anyways and I don't think putting something on this is wise..

Cheers, I hope the lovely community csn help me :)

Fellers, how do I get this Philips walkmanish thing to work? D6591 Philips walker

Hey folks, so, let me list my problems real quick:

  1. The sliders on the front don't seem to move happily, they're seemingly a slight too farr inside seemingly? Well, hpw do I use these anyways?

  2. The play button doesn't depress fully even with force, even with a cassette inside, and the FF/REW don't seem to do anything but spin thw motor so I assume I need belts, where could I get some?

  3. The volume knob is very grainy, I'd say? Sometimes goes quiet and sometimes loud, yk?

  4. I don't know if we have any user manuals anymore, my gruncle has some for thw old VCRs and such but... Most are gone..

Cheers, any help is appreciated, and so is just appréciation and advice :)

Fully working JVC HR-D300E ai got for 14€

I paid 14€ for this VCR, didn't come with a remote and thw button cover door doesn't stay closed, but otherwise works amazing. Even got a free Fuji tape with some old series rexorded on it with it.

Any place to get original remotes? I won't be getting a replacement that doesn't fit the era or vibe, as that'd ruin the feel and mood for me, and I think I'll fare with the buttons if I'll never find a remote..

I love the deal, anf the picture isn't any bad either, almost as good as a DVD and propably best if I had a CRT..

A typewriter and a VCR, also a clock radio casettw recorder/Player thing! Also some other stuff..

My parents will be so mad I used 74€ on all this 'obsolete' stuff lol

Some stuff I got: C-kasettes, LA-Radio bag (great for 4 cans or 2 tall cans/bottles of drinkables, VCR without a remote control, a clock radio, a blank VHS, a typewriter for my desk :3 (Evwrest ST long carriage, 200 characters).

This doesn't end here lol, I also have a camera kit, and some other things too, tho I wonder of all of these will fot into our car later this summer..

Portable player, portable mini/micro recorder, some old tapes.

  1. Old tapes, I kinda wanna scan the factory card of these and some I have, is there any database or will i have to set one up? Small pieces of history, also just cool

2&3. Philips walker, something wrong with it. Play button doesn't go inside fully, and ofc needs new belts I assume.. Cool one tho, and good brand :3

4&5. Talking recorder thingy, whst does it work with? Would it be useful for stuff like verbal note taking?

  1. Heaven! Self recordables were 0.20€ and judt normal releases were 1-2€ per piece :D

A camera I got from my grand uncle... It's massive and I'm tempted to use the set, with period corrwct attire even lol

AKAI videokamera (I think it's a good Brand, yes?) and Panasonic-National NV-3000 (PAL)..

I want to use the set, is it still possible in the world of today?

The camera and taper are both emotiobally imoortant and also cool as hell. The taper alone cost 8 000 marks New in the early 1980s.

So, I have a full videograoher kit, what can I do with it? Can I make this work? There's even a mic on the camera integrated. Sorry about the bad pictures it's a bit heavy in hand after a long day..

It seems like a good kit, I want to use it, anything to note before trying? Will the camera work in the world of today?

Cheers, idk where else to ask, I can provide more info if needed in the comments along with pictures (if possible)..

I think the kit is way too cool to let dust on a shelf, it was made for use so I want to use it somewhat atleast :3

Quality isn't a concern as long as it'll display on some kinda old TV it's fine :)

Cheers again

Questions of quality and usability and rareness

Sony Trinitron, big but bulky and forgot the price tag, it's the only not free one.

Two Salora sets, one is for use in an RV I think? Both were good and expensive new

Old and a bit newer Philips sets

A DUX set from the 1970s

So, which one would be the best for watching VHS and DVDs and playing an occasional bit of PS2.

Also judt wanna ask about the potential things I'd need to do before pluggin in any of them, and if I should worry about taking any in case one breaks..

Also RV TV into an RV still feasible? And does it work on wall power (switch power or whatever, AC)

Cheers, sorry I'm so uninformed but I trust yall on judgement of the quality and safety and everything :3

Everest something? It'd fit my decor atleast

28.00€ price

Seems to work and no keys stick apsrt from 7

I want it, are these any good? I asusme they're a revbranded Royal or Halda or something? The keys are worn, any possibilities on fixing them?

Gonna buy it tomorrow if I don't get swamped with warnings of it or something :3

Seems legit and well cared for tho, do I buy it?

Some of them, sadly the largest psrt of the old family collection is gone

There's also about 30-40 kilos of self-recordables with pokemon or moomins, serrano or something like that too mostly. Also a big plastic garbage bag of them in a more damp place so they're possibly mouldy if the bag hasn't held up....

A ton of a mail-order cooking videos that sre recorded over with Serrano or Pokémon :3 and a lot of other dtuff

+ my VCR (portable and cool as hell, professionally used but if it doesn't work I'll still have it as a mantle pièce or a passion project since the worth is more than money it'd take in it to me)

What do I do with the doubles I have? Titanic and Atlantis part 2, and Monsters Inc.

Also, forgot to picture it but I have an unused red limited edition TDK HS blank :)

Olympia Monika?

This Olympia Monika is in the sapre medroom (storage room mostly nowadays) of the old side of my family's farm( I guess so?). How can I make sure it wirks and is it a worthy thing to lug around for a small bit of time if I want it home? It was apparently brought from sweden sometime.

I like the case being metal and it seems solid and isn't seized up like my Facit 1620 which I disassembled into a million pieces........

Anything to note, I guess? I think this is cool but I'm a slight lost on this because never thought if owning an Olympia..

Cheers! Have a nice summer yalls!

Panasonic NV-3000

Heylo! Yall seem like a jolly nice bunch of people, so I hope I can ask something on this pair :3

They are from my grand uncle who bought the set and a camera for it new in the early 1980s, he used to use the kit somewhqt professionally in weddings and more importsnt event around the "village" (about 2 000 people in the municipality).

The kit is in excellent cosmetic condition st the least, there's a whole mess of cables snd even a belt clipped holder for a spare battery (there's 2 of them but they each seem pretty old, and idk if they'd hold more than 10 mins of charge). The carrying case is very comfy to carry atleast across a yard of some size. The kit smells spicy, I can't say I could describe it but it smells spicy and somewhat hurts eyes and nose (propably cig-smoke?)

I was not alive when this kinda tech was commonly used but I know a slight, I hope...

This is a top loading mechanism, and the PAL version. It's a professional grade machine and seems to work a good amount.

Grand uncle could propably help me a lot but I don't want to bother him about basics, but only if there's a larger thing.

The set is awesome, and a gift even if not working, I'll cherish until I'm old and insane :3

There's the twin to the VCR also but I forgot to photo it and I can't add a vidéo to reddit unfortunately :(

Anything on this is appreciated, I know I could get a manual online for free but I can't read super small text on a phone too easy without glasses or contacts and I broke my glasses recently so I cannot do a whole lot of resesrch on a phone.

I also got a vox of tapes, yummy :3

Anything I should do bwfore pluggin in? Anything I need to do before inserting a tape? Should I try use this portable at for example a sporting event of some kind?

Cheers, happy late midsommar, don't let the party stop but bw responsible!
