Anyone here with C4-C5 cervical cord compression had burning in the genital area and burning while urinating?
My MRI shows around 5 mm cord compression with focal intramedullary edema. Surgeon asked me to monitor symptoms for now.
Just wanted to know if anyone experienced similar symptoms...

Disc osteophyte complex at C4–C5 causing spinal cord compression with intramedullary cord edema/swelling.
Spine surgeon suggested me to go for ACDF surgery.
Doctor said it may later cause hand weakness and balance issues.
Did anyone here undergo ACDF for a similar condition? How hard was the surgery and recovery? How are you doing now?
