It’s very nice. The titanium is light and cool on the wrist and the half links make adjustments to 3mm possible. I’ve got it perfectly sized to my wrist - very comfortable, not too tight or loose and stays firmly flat on top without moving forward or backward much.

My wrist doesn’t swell much in the heat, so not really worried about that.

Would the micro-adjust be nice? Sure, I guess…is it necessary? No.

Honestly, the only thing I’d change is the logo stamped on the case back…that’s a little disappointing anytime I want to admire the movement.

The set up is this: They call, tell you they're Deputy so and so from the Travis Co. Sheriffs Office and looking for X. They tell you that you missed a Federal Court Jury summons at that the Judge Robert Pittman (real judge) issued a couple of citations for Failure to Appear and Contempt of Court - and cited Federal Criminal codes. The idea being that supposedly I was subpoenaed on July 31 and signed an affidavit stating my intent to attend a Jury selection and I failed to show.

Now, I know damn well that I didn't receive any subpoena or sign any affidavit, nor have I received any jury summons, nor do I know what Travis Co. Deputy Department would be calling on a Federal issue. So I said, that's a load of crap. He said, we understand, we here this a lot - all you need to do is report to the TCSO on Airport Blvd and they can compare signatures on the affidavit. But first, I need to pass you along to my supervisor.

Then the supervisor tells me that I have two options, either they'll issue warrants and arrest and prosecute me, or I can go down and show them my signature - but first, I have to pay a Suspension Fee of 2500 for each offense. I said, ok, how do you want that. They said, I had to pay in cash at a kiosk. . .

OK, I mean, I thought it was all a bunch of bullshit from the start, but they were very elaborate about it and had a whole script, with bad connections so it was hard to understand them - it was a whole show.

But the chances Travis County would have me deposit 5,000 in cash in some fucking kiosk was patently absurd. So I said, you know what, this sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. I'm going to call the Travis County Sheriffs Department directly and verify this. Then they tried to scare me by saying if I do that it'll be too late, and they'll have to issue warrants and send a deputy to arrest me. I said, go ahead and send a car, because there ain't no way in hell I'm depositing 5,000 in cash into some fucking kiosk.

Still waiting for the Deputy to arrive and take me in. . .

I see they're offering a bunch of new models in the Evolution 9 series (some of the dials are really great). It sure would be nice to see some options in the Heritage line (I just prefer the case, the sword hands and the sharper sleeker dial indicies) - perhaps at 39 or 38mm cases as well.

I absolutely love this show. And have since the first frame of S1. I love the neo noir, the fantastically weird tie-in with sci-fi, the intertwining plots. . .most of all - I love Colin Farrel's John Sugar.

I don't know if he likes playing this role - but goddam he's good at it and it looks to me like he's having the time of his life.

Everyone knows the mark up on watches is ridiculous. And with price increase, watches that were once obtainable for your average dood, has become all but out of reach for most or all of their line (looking at you Omega, IWC, GS. . .) - and we also know that we take a 20 - 30% hit the moment the payment is approved (unless you're buying Rolex or PP or FPJ, etc., in which case, wait in line or be a VERY good customer). This adds up to - I'm always going to look on secondary before spending money on a nice watch (if it's 100 - 1000, whatever, I'll just pay it. . .but if we're talking 5,000 and up...um, that's something I'm going to think about.

It seems like they could help themselves by having a few lower priced options in each of the major lines. Like, OK is doesn't have the best movement, just a really good one. Or, have some low complication versions as entry level watches and somewhat affordable prices. IDK, I'm sure there are ways to make this happen.

Seems like developing loyalty is not all that appreciated. . .but if I'm a fine watch brand, who makes some entry level watches when others are ignoring this market, I bet I get them later for watches when they come into higher positions and more money and the ones that turn their noses up . . .well. . .I, for one, have a long memory.

Anyway, it's rare I can't find a new or like new watch with box and papers for a significant discount (especially if I'm willing to wait 6 - 9 months after a release). Not for special releases - that's always going to be it's own thing and somewhat hit or miss.

But I'm willing to wager, 9/10 watches out there are available on the secondary, every bit as good as buying from an AD and 20 - 25% discount. . .which ain't nothing to sneeze at.

It’s my first cut - I’ll take a watch with Arabic numerals or indices any day of the week.

July 4th for as long as I can remember has been my favorite holiday. I love everything about it - the neighborhood parades, the displays of Red White and Blue, the pageantry of the fire works displays, and most of all the coming together of disparate people of different persuasions to celebrate our shared belief in a system that gives us freedom.

I no longer believe we have that shared belief. Celebrating it makes a mockery of the principals upon which this nation was founded. We have one side stripping away constitutional protections as fast as they can and the other side having an infight about whether we should hold the founders in contempt.

We are no longer a country that deserves our heritage because we have abandoned it.

I cannot feel one ounce of patriotism anymore and I refuse to pretend I do on Saturday.

There has already been a regime change. Whatever comes next will not resemble what we had before. Maybe a long time from now there will new days to celebrate, but for now - I mourn for what we the voters gave up on to put the worst people in America in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth. We do not deserve to celebrate that which we abandoned. And I will not play along and pretend it’s all good because of midterms or something.
