I've been working on a livedex for a browser-based pokemon game I've been playing, and they've recently added a new paradox form for ambipom. How do I add a cell specifically for one column without fucking up the nearby ones? I've had to add cells before after forgetting a pokemon from my list and it created a lot of awkward spacing for the entire doc that I had to adjust. It was extremely annoying... I don't wanna do that again LOL

I found some ants in my room last night, about maybe 40ish individual scouts/food retrievers (yes I was counting dont ask) I set out some tarro liquid bait for them and checked back again about 20ish minutes ago to see they're still pathing to a crumb that was next to my computer tower which has been removed already. I set the traps out at about 11 pm yesterday, and I need to vacuum my bedroom today after an interview. I know where the ants are coming from thankfully (under my heater unit on my wall. I have one of those shitty ones that runs the entire length of my wall. Bug hot spot AND it has a broken panel this shits the ass.)

Would vacuuming reset/disturb ongoing and current ant pheromone paths and entice them to go for the liquid baits, and how long do the liquid baits take to work or did I end up with smart ants (i hope to god not) should I add crumbs to the tarro bait to see if that entices them... like poptart crumbs or a piece of a chip because I think they like savory stuff. Is putting a bait right next to where I found them pathing from bad? I have never had a mini infestation maybe just 1-2 scouts so this is bad and I need them NUKED

Also token stupid question, if I layer bath and body works vanilla sugar lotion and almond croissant body mist would the ants be attracted to me or do they not work like that. This is a bad thing thats why im asking my scent palette is very sweet / pastry adjacent I dont need an army of ants following me around because I smell nice. This is so embarrassing I cannot believe I have ants in my room bro.

I work a crummy retail job and want to do something that'll both be useful in the job space and just in general cuz yknow. Everyone eats and food is a universal language and skill. But I wanna know from other people first hand what its like and what to expect.

- How much do culinary specific or culinary courses in small colleges cost typically

- Do I need to be taking additional classes ontop of culinary or can I do strictly culinary... because I'll be honest I do not want to suffer another around of calculus ever again

- how are the days like, ie how long do they typically last, whats done in a typical day, what are assignments and homework like (if there is any)

- is it hard or easy to use a culinary degree when finding work. I could always open up my own business or work for a pre existing one but are cooks a sought after job market? What sort of places are typically looking for cooks and is there a career I can make on the sidelines of a "normal" job (ie internet stuff since I see lots of people post and share recipes)

- just in general what sort of stuff will I be learning over the whole course of the teaching? I assume a combination of cooking and baking but I wanna know anyways

- should I get a job in the food side of retail and customer work before or during my culinary schooling escapades, or nah. Just for some extra hands on experience I already cook at home plenty but experience where you can get it is always good.

My store has had me working bottles for a while on fridays because of both our regular dudes being off and our former bottle guy quitting, but in the handful of times I've worked in the bottle room and around that area in the back I swear to god I keep one-upping myself on gross shit I find.

A small list of random shit I've found in the bottle room so far in no particular order:
- Cat turds. Just straight up cat turds and the only reason I recognized them as so is because I've owned a total of 3 cats my whole life and they do NOT smell like dog shit. Who tf snuck cat turds in with their bottles. Wtffff??
- Bugs including but so far not limited to; roaches (dead), moths (dead), earwigs (ALL alive but very tolerable I fuck with earwigs), misc beetles (dead), and spiders (sometimes dead)
- What I originally assumed was a huge puddle of piss was hopefully just a very smelly puddle of very yellow beer but one can only pretend so much
- One vomit coated can. For the love of god please at least wash the vomit, feces, urine, blood, and other biohazardous liquids OFF of your cans before you make the retail worker hand count them. Thankfully I don't even touch bottle room shit without gloves.
- Returns but a boxed vibrator. Unopened but the concept of picking one out and then deciding halfway through shopping that you DONT want it tickles me.
- Not my find, but the former bottle guy found a skidmarked pair of boxers in the trash once. I wish customers didnt treat bottle trash bins like actual dumpsters they're for throwing out uncountable cans/bottles, trash bags, and cardboards NOT your well-pooped britches.

I ate plenty of food today but I think i know what set it off. Lebanon Bologna cut from the local market. Woke up from a rest just fine and hung out with my cat but its been about 15ish minutes since i woke up and I think its a combo of post-nasal drip, lebanon bologna, and stress. High heart rate (120 resting), sweating a LOT, upset stomach, and I'm a bit shaky. I have gum and water but I'm so scared :'((( I know whether or not I get sick I'll be ok but uuuuuhhghj the anticipation of if its gonna happen or if itll wash over

I realized for the last couple of days whoever has been keeping stock of the vending machine at my store has been doing a piss poor job because everything I've bought in the last two days (minus a bag of fritos because I've been keeping those outta stock I love fritos) has been past its best by / sell by date.

I know best by DOESNT equal expiration but its a little unnerving to spend money on a butterfinger bar only to find out it was best by EARLY JULY.

My mom (48) went to the hospital today after being in pain and near bedridden for 36 hours (she or my dad wasnt aware of what it was until the doctors told them) she had to be moved to a different hospital out of town for further treatment and I'm scared she won't come home.

She's a semi recovering alcoholic, she's been getting better about replacing hard liquor with lighter alcoholic drinks but this came out of no where. My dad said we can see her tomorrow but even just the thought of seeing my mom hooked up to ivs and sick makes me wanna throw up I'm so worried idk what to do

Moreso a general safety question than an outward concern, because I've already eaten cheeses from bags with the pink stuff on it (a mozz, a colby jack, and a baby swiss just now, all smoked and sealed in sandwich baggies that had majority/all air squeezed out of them. No negative issues) but I asked siri on my ipad about it and she brought up an online post from an officially sourced food safety page about it that I figured I'd ask about here

It's some sort of bacteria that grows on cheeses and the surrounding plastic at fridge temperatures, and apparently is fine most of the time but dangerous on softer cheeses like cottage or mozz. Its not directly on the cheese but on the original wrapper the cheeses came in, which is still in the sandwich bags to ID what cheeses are what. Should I toss these cheeses out in the morning, or can I discard the original plastic packaging, keep them in their ziplock baggies, and continue to munch on them.

Mainly just asking cuz of mixed results and I'm unsure about what to do here :P there's no other signs of mold (green) on the cheeses so aside from the pink weirdness, they're fine enough

I was nesting verdant last night in a public hardcore server since people were being very chill at migration. And I managed to give out 3 eggs to other players and 3 to my alt. But after I left my nest to grab some fresh water and some grass an Undoli came out of fuckin NOWHERE and started biting the shit out of me. I could really fight back since my set up was wolf/egg shell and ended up dying. I think someone chased off the undoli and it left me alone when I came back as a baby but I think that was just so damn rude. If I'm being attacked I'll happily offer up my alt a thousand times over. I'll pump out 50 more nested alt slots if someone wants to wrack up kills but leave ME alone man.

I microwaved up some microwavable bacon that I had in the fridge (hormel black label) and it smelled fine? It smells like pre-cooked cold bacon idk how else to describe it + very lightly sourish? It doesn't expire till august so I shrugged and cooked it anyways. Put it on an english muffin with a slice of cheddar cheese and a bit of cholula since its what sounded good and the bacon tasted musty???

I deconstructed the sandwich and tried different components just to double check it was the bacon and it was only about 2 pieces of the 4 I made. Cholula lick was normal, bread bite fine, cheese nibble fine, the other 2 pieces of bacon tasted normal. Just those 2 random pieces. Did I just accidentally hork down 2 two whole pieces of bad bacon or am I gonna be fine. Kinda tasted like eating a shoe but if it was bacon. No slimey texture and most probably not 100% rancid.

Something has been recently causing morning asthma flare-ups after I wake up. I dont think its something in my room because I was experiencing morning asthma in hotels in Indiana and Illinois a few weeks ago during a trip.

My only inhaler (lupin inhaler, the blue body/green cap one) has run empty, I've run out of refills (going to pester my pharmacist after I post this) and given my plumicort flexhaler is a 2 dose once a day medication with no exceptions I'm at a loss... would allergy medicine help?? Is there anything I can do? I reckon post nasal drip has a factor in this since I wake up every morning with snot issues. I do snore aswell if thats any trigger indicator. Idk what to do here

No idea if that's the right flair idk. I think I've just kinda given up with trying to make my PCOS "better." I've hit such a plateau with my weight that refuses to go under 204 or above 206. I get regular exercise, LOTS of steps that do include cardio. I've tried at home workouts, yoga, pilates at home, zumba exercises, 1980s JAZZERCISE, lazy workouts, I considered buying a walking pad but have no idea where to store it and can't afford one right now. I've tried dieting and eating my usual foods. I've binged, I've fasted, I've restricted, I've counted and counted and counted calories till the thought of any one dish over 500 cal made me want to rip my hands off but now I just stopped caring. I'm in the midst of a 4 day snack-binge after a long ass work week that sucked major. I see my doctor next week and I'm scared she's gonna tell me my only hope at this point is a weight loss drug. I want to be thin and pretty but I don't want to feel like my beauty is fake or fraudulent because of something like Ozempic or Wegovy. Even when I was a kid and didn't know I'd be fucked over and cursed later in life I've considered the WORST of it I even price checked tapeworms across different platforms online and considered how hard it'd be to explain needing a tapeworm removed.

Unless they can whip up a pcos cure that reverses all this nonsense and makes me normal I give up. I quit. I'll be fat and have bad hormones forever if my only other option is weight loss drugs or giving up all my favorite foods. fml I hate pcos.

I live in an apartment on the bottom floor, with the bottom floor apartments being semi underground. I recently had some neighbors across from me move out and while the apartment maintenance crew was deep-cleaning their apartment, I started seeing German Roaches in my kitchen. Thankfully they haven't moved anywhere else in the house but I've recently seen an influx of baby roaches over the last month. Went to grab water 15 minutes ago and there were 3 in the sink. Tried smushing one with a mug but it was all squishy and bounced back even if I pushed the mug into the baby as hard as I could. It just wriggled away and scurried off.. I need these nasty things DEAD me and my folks are very clean people but having roaches makes me feel gross despite how much cleaning I do and how anal I've been about keeping things clean.

All we have rn are these shitty roach baits I'm gonna toss and replace soon since they dont do anything. Need reqs for pet safe (I have 2 cats) traps I can put to snuff out the roaches. Gonna urge my folks to contact maintenance about getting our cabinets checked behind (where they hide behind during the day but there's a gap between the wall and cabinet that's too small for cleaning but wide enough for bugs.)

I work retail (Meijer, 3 years part timer) and this stupid job feels like satan himself handed me a flaming piece of bison shit on a rusty platter. I got hired in first attempt when i was 19 and for the first year and a half it was fine but then my hours kept getting cut, I kept getting sick over stress, my pay never goes up no matter how hard I tried to be a model employee and work hard and work 200% better than everyone else.

My 3 year anniversary is in 2 months. The last couple shifts I havent made it past 2 hours in without getting so pissed at my job's existance or crying my eyes out in distress to the point where I have to leave early. This is one of those days where I'm crying nonstop to the point of a headache because my job is useless and doesnt pay me for shit.

I'm going to the local job center on Monday in hopes they'll give me some directions towards a job that wont make me an active suicide risk. I'm just yelling into the void at this point but the concept of working at meijer the rest of my life makes me want to ingest poison.

I wear 1 earbud in my left ear (low volume, typically horror/mystery related videos or music) when I'm working on the floor to drown out the crappy music the store plays and build rhythm / pace myself while I work. I've been "dress-coded" like 3 times now over the earbud? I just don't get it. I understand having it out to hear customers (Low volume + better hearing on my right side. Not an issue for me), or it being a safety hazard or needing to hear if you're being paged... Which I'm next to never paged over the intercom and my department uses the zebras as phones (we just got new zebras I have to ASK to use so I just don't use a zebra anymore I know where stuff is) and for the safety concern thing I ALWAYS have my earbuds put away during live load or when a high-lo is in use. I'm not stupid enough to get run over.

I don't get why I'm the only one in my department getting in trouble for this when I know that roughly half of my team uses earbuds while they work. I hide my earbud behind my hair now since its long but even then I'm pretty sure my bosses are gonna mandate a hair up/ears showing thing for me since this is a "problem" what gives man??? I'm still working regardless.

I really don't want to pay for youtube premium anymore because 16$ a month is starting to feel stupid, so I'd love to buy a pocket (can slip into jean pockets) sized MP3 player preferably with bluetooth compatibility (so I can use at work) and/or a headphone port so I can listen at home/on the go. I don't want a hyper expensive mp3 player that'll wash my dishes and cook my dinner, just one that'll let me play my music always and anywhere, with a USB-C port so I can add music files directly into the system. Doesn't need to browse the internet or play videos or games just play music. That's it. Hell if it's an older model too like 2010-2019 model that's FINE if not better.

If you have recommendations please name them, kinda tired of having a device that does EVERYTHING.

I'm not on Wegovy but my dad (60M) is because he's too old to properly lose weight like someone younger can, iirc he was 350lbs? He's been on it for about maybe a month? Month and a half? And he's complained about experiencing fullness pain and sulphuric burps but today (may 31st/june 1st) he suddenly threw up while playing a video game VERY violently. Described it as "a lot of liquid" so I assume majority of it was bile. He continued to throw up 3-4 more times throughout the day to the same degree. I hate seeing him this sick at his old age I want my dad to lose the weight and be happier/healthier but not by means of extreme vomiting he seems so miserable.

My dad doesnt see a doctor, he gets Wegovy through a website (his? Iirc? The male centric online medication prescription service my mom uses hers so thats the only reason I know abt these websites) so he cant call a doc and ask for medications to help. Is there anything I can do? All I can do I support him rn and ask if he ever needs anything but I hate seeing him so ill

I have an interview tomorrow at a sams club and I'm desperately hoping I ace it. Applied for the personal shopper role, and got a request for an interview less than 12 hours later.

I'm going from stocking light items at meijer to personal shopping at sams.. how intense is the work? is it extremely time heavy? how much will I be lifting and walking? If it's super duper bad any other suggestions? I just dont wanna work at my current job anymore </3
