Created a badminton match tracking app for Garmin!

So I created a Garmin app for Badminton: Badminton Go. It tells you your current score and serve side/your position at a single glance. It supports singles/doubles format matches. After each point, you just need to swipe up or down (or press up or down) based on which team got that point. I've designed the layout from scratch and just wanted some feedback from players if it actually helps them reduce the cognitive load of remembering scores and figuring out serve side? It can be downloaded from this link: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/58a3a8cc-b48d-431e-8575-3e06cc450cb6

How do you auto-generate and email GST-compliant invoices upon successful Razorpay payments?

Hey everyone,

I help run a business where the vast majority of my product sales come from outside India, with only a small trickle of domestic Indian customers.

For the Indian sales, they use Razorpay to process payments. To stay compliant with Indian tax laws, they need to automatically generate a proper invoice that captures GST breakdowns (CGST/SGST vs IGST based on place of supply), billing addresses, etc., and email it straight to the customer as soon as the transaction is successful.

Since their domestic volume is quite low, they really don't want to manage this manually, but they also want to avoid over-engineering a complex custom system just for a small slice of my user base.

How are other founders here handling this? What is your actual tech stack or workflow for automatically issuing and emailing a GST invoice once a Razorpay payment lands?

Would love to hear how you went about setting it up and if there are any edge cases or gotchas they should watch out for.

Thanks!

I made Pickleball Go – A complete scoring & tracking app for Garmin watches (Tracks Server 1/2, court rotation, and syncs to Connect!)

Hey r/GarminFenix !

If you play pickleball, you know the pain it takes to remember the score, who is serving, whether it's Server 1 or 2, and which side of the court you’re supposed to be standing on.

Just so that I can focus on enjoying the game as a newbie, I built Pickleball Go - a dedicated pickleball scoring and activity tracking app for Garmin watches.

It’s FREE to try out currently.

Some nice features I’ve built:

  • Smart Scoring & Rotation: You just need to swipe(or press) UP/DOWN for opponent/own point. The app tracks current score, active server (Server 1 vs. Server 2), and correct court positioning. It even handles the first-service exception at the start of doubles games.
  • Singles & Doubles Modes: Full support for both formats with proper rule application.
  • Garmin Connect : Saves not only heart rate and calories, but also game stats in Stats Tab (Winner, total points, game breakdown, and a live point-differential graph).
  • Seamless On-Wrist Controls: Swipe or press a button to log a point instantly between rallies. Made a mistake? There's a one-press Undo Last Point that perfectly reverses side-outs and server changes.

You can find it by searching Pickleball Go in the Garmin Connect IQ Store or alternatively here: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/3664a87d-6d4e-4d39-9257-efb877f2db3f

If you hit any bugs, have questions, or want to request a feature, please feel free to DM!

[New App] - RallyPoint (Badminton)

Hey r/garmin,

I love playing badminton, but I frequently lose track of the score, who is serving, and where everyone should be standing mid-match. Counting in your head during a fast rally can be tough, so I decided to build a dedicated tool to help: RallyPoint.

I designed the UI entirely from scratch specifically so you can see your exact match status at a quick glance between rallies.

Key Features:

  • Glance-first UI: Built from scratch to show current score, server, and court positions instantly.
  • Automatic scoring logic: Handles standard badminton rules natively, including serve rotation, deuce, and advantage.
  • Singles & Doubles tracking: In doubles mode, it tracks you and your partner's exact physical court positions after every held-serve point.
  • Quick input & Undo: Record points instantly with a single swipe or button press, and undo mistakes with one click.
  • Native fitness tracking: Records your session as a Garmin Badminton activity with heart rate and calorie monitoring, syncing directly to Garmin Connect.
  • Extras: 3 court color themes, optional haptic wrist vibrations on points, and auto-saved settings.

The app is currently 100% free to download while I gather feedback and iron out edge cases. I do plan to transition it to a paid app later, but I wanted to open it up to the r/garmin community first.

Please give it a try and let me know how it works on your specific watch model! You can find it here: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/58a3a8cc-b48d-431e-8575-3e06cc450cb6

Let me know if you have any feature requests or feedback!

Reset the counter: Built a dedicated HYROX Garmin app for full race simulations (Solo dev drop)

Hey everyone,

I know, I know... we all hate seeing promotional posts like this in the feed. But honestly, considering the massive amount of work I’ve put into this over the last few months, I thought it deserved to be put out there just in case anyone has been looking for a real solution.

I’m a solo developer and hybrid athlete. To be completely honest, I absolutely hate doing promotions but seeing other developers share their own creations in this subreddit gave me the push to finally post here. After months of fine-tuning code and building out features, I feel confident that Roxzone is polished enough to show you guys.

Whether you're preparing for a first race or chasing a podium finish, I built Roxzone to deliver a true race-simulation experience right on the wrist. Every run, every station, and every transition is tracked and recorded in a single activity. No splitting sessions, no workarounds, and no guessing where time was lost.

The app supports a broad matrix of Garmin hardware: running seamlessly across the Fenix 8, Fenix 7 & 6 Pro series, Epix (Gen 2 & Pro), Enduro 3, the Forerunner line (including 165, 255, 265, 570, 945, 955, 965, and 970), Venu (2, 3, and 4), Vivoactive 5/6, and the Instinct 3 AMOLED series.

Here is a breakdown of how the engine works and the specific features I’m pretty proud of:

  • Official HYROX Mode (Race Day Ready): No tedious manual configurations standing at the start line. Just select your official category - from Men's/Women's Open and Pro to all Doubles variations. It automatically loads all correct, category-specific station weights and distances right on your wrist.
  • Live Pace & Tracking (GPS/Sensor Based): Live pace and distance (GPS outdoors, watch sensors indoors) backed by a secondary color-coded progress ring (green when on pace, red when behind). Gives your exact engine status at a glance without squinting while breathless
  • Partial & Custom Simulation Modes: For structured training, you can simulate 25%, 50%, or 75% of a full race. Or, use the Custom engine to build any simulation: pick any combination of the 8 official stations, reorder them, set custom run distances in 50m steps, and loop them continuously for AMRAP sessions or interval formats.
  • Dedicated Roxzone Transition Tracking: Track the exact time spent in the venue's transition zones. You can enable Roxzone tracking before stations, after stations, or both. Each transition is recorded separately for full visibility into your efficiency.
  • "Undo Last Lap" Safeguard: If you fumble a button press mid-station or hit a lap split too early while exhausted, you can open the pause menu and roll it back. The timer picks up exactly where it left off with all elapsed time intact.
  • Clean Garmin Connect Integration: On completion, you get a full segment-by-segment summary. The entire session saves to Garmin Connect as a single activity with laps cleanly labeled by run, station, and Roxzone for structured, analyzable data.

Calling All HYROX Athletes: If you are currently training for an upcoming event or simulating splits in your training blocks, I would love for you to give it a spin during your next hard engine session. I am especially looking for feedback from the community on how the pacing ring feels when you're heavily compromised, and how the visual layouts translate to your specific watch model. Niche, real-world feedback is what keeps this app getting better.

Current Status: The app fully supports 21 languages natively, features an optional warm-up timer, a touchscreen lockout toggle to prevent accidental sweat-swipes, and it remembers your setup so it's ready to go immediately when you reopen it.

The price is a one-time payment of $7.99 to support an indie developer (app is free to download - but you'll be redirected to purchase license to unlock on opening). Because I want you to make sure it fits perfectly into your actual training routine before committing, I offer a 24-hour no-questions-asked money-back guarantee.

I'll drop the Connect IQ store link in the comments.

Hope you like it, cheers! :)

I built Roxzone: A Garmin app for HYROX racing and training

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo dev and hybrid athlete, and I wanted to share my very first app. To be totally honest, I usually hate doing promotions but seeing other people share their creations here gave me the push to finally post. After months of wrestling with strict memory limits in Garmin's SDK, Roxzone is finally polished enough to share.

The Problem:

When you mix heavy running with functional gym movements (like in hybrid fitness racing), standard smartwatch tracking completely falls apart. You’re forced to awkwardly switch sports profiles mid-workout or settle for a generic "Cardio" setting that mashes your data into a useless blob.

What the App Does:

Built specifically for HYROX (the race with alternating 8 x 1 km runs and 8 functional stations like sled pushes and rowing), Roxzone records your entire session as one continuous Garmin activity. It cleanly maps your indoor/outdoor runs, lifting stations, and transition times with zero workarounds.

Cool Features I'm Proud Of:

  • Race Day Ready: Just pick your official category (Open, Pro, Doubles), and it automatically loads the correct station weights and distances right to your wrist.
  • Live Pace & Tracking (GPS/Sensor Based): Live pace and distance (GPS outdoors, watch sensors indoors) backed by a secondary color-coded progress ring (green when on pace, red when behind). Gives your exact engine status at a glance without squinting while breathless.
  • Custom Training Engine: Build your own custom intervals and AMRAP sequences using the official stations, or simulate scaled (25%, 50%, 75%) race splits.
  • "Undo Last Lap" Safeguard: Accidentally hit a lap button while exhausted? You can roll it back instantly via the pause menu so your race data isn't ruined.
  • Clean Garmin Connect Sync: Saves the session as a single activity with laps cleanly labeled by run, station, and transition for post-workout analysis.

The app supports 21 languages, includes a touchscreen lockout toggle to prevent accidental sweat-swipes, and remembers your setup so it's ready to go instantly next time.

So far the feedback has been great and I've pushed quite a few updates over last 2 months but I’m always up for receiving more feedback to improve it further. It's a one-time payment of $7.99, backed by a 24-hour no-questions-asked money-back guarantee so you can test it risk-free. (app is free to download - but you'll be redirected to purchase license to unlock on opening)

I'll drop the Connect IQ store link in the comments. If anyone has questions about building niche wearable software or navigating Garmin's Monkey C environment for the first time, ask me anything!

Cheers!

Help me choose the correct size?

Ordered these shirts from Andamen and can't help decide the size. The Green one is size S and the rust one is size M. I like the S fit better but also think it's slightly tight? Like on my forearms I can barely make 2 folds and run a risk to outgrowing it with the slightest of weight gain. On the other hand the other one doesn't feel like a flattering fit. Which size do I get? Also these shirts are slim fit

Does it make sense for me to continue the Amex Platinum Travel CC?

I mainly used it for the 4L milestone to get Marriot points. With the recent devaluation, does it still make sense to pay the membership fee for that card?
Already have Infinia as my daily driver.
Main expenses are online shopping and travel.

Hey everyone,

I’m a techie and I recently built a side project (a SaaS/app) that’s starting to get some traction from US users. I’ve been using PayPal to accept USD payments, but I’ve hit a wall.

PayPal is now asking for business verification (GST, business registration, etc.) to keep my account active. Since I’m a full-time employee elsewhere, I don’t have a registered entity, and I’m honestly just trying to keep this as an "Individual/Proprietor" setup for now.

The issues:

  1. I don't want to register a company yet as it’s still small.
  2. Stripe India seems to be "Invite Only" or very restricted right now.
  3. PayPal fees + conversion rates are eating into the small margins.

What are you guys using to accept international payments as an individual developer in India? Are there "Merchant of Record" (MoR) services that handle the tax/compliance part for you? Looking for something that doesn't require a full-blown GST registration from Day 1 if possible.

Thanks!
