Late to the party but I literary finished watching Obsession just now. 10 out of 10 for me.

late to the party but I need to give credit where credit is due. It's undeniable one of the best horror movie or film in general to come out this 2026. Grabe!! I was glued to the TV and as a jaded movie person that really surprised me. I very rarely get excited anymore and this movie reinvigorated me. Refreshing! The other movie that made me feel this excited was Project Hail Mary.

Amazing acting, big kudos to the actors and actresses all of them did great. Inde Navarette killed it, slayed it and this movie gave birth to the newest star in Hollywood this year and I am looking forward to her upcoming projects.

It was terrifying and creepy but the one thing that stood out for me the most during the second half was how tragic it was and how it made me felt sad and the third act was when the realization hit me, that this is a Shakespearean tragedy. A modern, twisted spin on a Shakespearean tragedy specifically mirroring and inverting the tragic events and mechanics of Romeo and Juliet.

It was an amazing experience to watch it all unfold in real time and realize that it was a Shakespearean tragedy, Romeo and Juliet style. This is one of the perks of not reading anything about the movies I am interested in watching and avoid everything pertaining to it.

Kudos to the director Curry Barker.

After all the dramas the Cayetano siblings created in the Senate and all the FB live selling and now the limelight is literally shining on them. Now one or two Cayetano is definitely going to prison

If BBM agreed to their demands he would have been impeached. Also the secretary he was talking about is probably defense secretary which SWOH wanted also he is definitely pertaining to APC.

This nation really need to establish a nuclear plant to lower the prices and to stabilize our electricity source. Otherwise the electricity prices doesn't have anywhere to go but UP regardless of how everyone feels

Screenshot was dated march and as of July, Meralco (Metro Manila) residential rate is ₱14.8261 per kWh. Don't you find it ridiculous that Vietnam is only paying around ₱7.7–8.7 per kWh and Indonesia is ₱5 per kWh.

I know people have concerns but at some point we are going to have to assess the risk if it's worth taking, like cars and airplanes have their own risks associated to them and yet people still found the risk worth taking. Considering it's becoming really expensive and we are too heavily reliant on fossil fuel and it's going to increase even more. Removing the system loss won't change anything because Meralco is only going to increase their price per kWh to recover the system loss and removing the VAT on your Meralco bill isn't going to be significant.

There are 440 operational nuclear reactors worldwide and in the span of 50 years only 3 nuclear disaster ever happened, that's statistic is extremely low. I would have the same fear of some people if there were 440 nuclear reactors and 220 of them suffered a disaster. Some people will argue and say "Filipinos are corrupt, ninja moves and pepetiks lang yan na pede maging resulta ay nuclear disaster" I am not as pessimistic and jaded towards my own people. There are still a lot of highly qualified Filipinos with full of integrity and optimism that can handle this kind o task.

Nuclear reactor is the best way to change things for the better. BTW I'm not saying we shouldn't increase our renewables because we should, because a diversified energy sector means we are NOT heavily reliant on one energy source.

The Philippines currently uses roughly 125–130 TWh of electricity annually. Here's the number of our current energy source

Fossil Fuels 72%
Coal: 60% - from Indonesia and Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) domestic coal
Natural Gas: 10% - Malampaya and Imported LNG
Oil: ~2%

Renewables 28%
Geothermal: 10%
Hydroelectric: 9%
Solar: 5%
Wind: 2%
Biomass: 2%

Bumping up the renewables to 50%
Geothermal: 13%
Hydroelectric: 12%
Solar: 15%
Wind: 5%
Biomass: 5%

Adding 4 Nuclear reactors which is 30–35 TWh is going to be roughly 25% addition to our energy source. 50% renewables, 25% 4 nuclear reactor, 50% fossil fuel. That means we have exceeded the our energy requirement by 25% and that 25% excess of the fossil fuel should be use as a stock pile energy source for contingency.

But in hindsight with all of what I said... I do think Nuclear powerplant will NEVER happen in the Philippines. There are too many blockade for it too happen ranging from social groups, religious group and different political parties. So in a way it's just an opinion piece dahil ang mahal ng binayaran namen sa Meralco. Stay respectful and kind. Peace out!

Henry Cavill's official post and announcement on Insta regarding the Warhammer series. I'm gonna be so irritated if this ends up like The Witcher and how he left because him and the showrunners doesn't align and doesn't share the same vision anymore.

Fallen 1998 Denzel Washington as Detective Hobbes, the cop who hunts the possessing body-hopping demonic spirit through a crowded street. Directed by Gregory Hoblit.

This scene immediately reminded me of a similar scene in another movie I just recently watched, (IYKYK). It made me wonder whether there was any inspiration involved or if it's simply a case of two movies arriving at a similar idea independently. I'm curious if anyone else had the same thought, or if you think the similarities are purely coincidental.

The contrast of Antonio Parlade FB post regarding General Logico and Robin Padilla.

I am not defending the barefoot general, because he is more than capable enough to defend himself. This is just me airing out an opinion that more than likely a lot of people carries.

Cayetano is a snake. He will shake hands with you with his right and and backstab you with his left hand. The gloves are off now the moment Cayetano attacked Ping with accusation of corruptions. If you can't prove it, then don't accuse people.

Any politician who thinks the voters owe them isn't a true public servant. She got it backwards, you owe it to the people not the other way around. Also it's the tax payers money...

Teodoro on China, the West PH Sea, and the future of PH defense | The Long Take

I had previously post about BRP Sierra Madre and the future plans pertaining to it and he answered it here and Secretary Gibo also talked about the MRF which I didn't find re-assuring.

What happens when the BRP Sierra Madre finally gives out? Do they even have any plans at all?

Can't they ask the US to bring in a re-activated old US Navy ship or about to be decommissioned, and of course it should be under the US Navy flag. Deliberately ground it beside Sierra Madre as it's replacement and later transfer it to PN as grant for recommissioning.

Because from my view it doesn't look like the Philippines doesn't have any plans to built a base over there and if not then they might as well ground a new naval vessel in there.

I hope BBM ground a naval vessel over there before he steps down.

A glimmer of hope for our fellow Filipinos who are now disillusioned and feeling hopeless in our country's political landscape. Keep fighting the good fight.
