The anime voice cast is going to be gigantic as the harem expands

If/When Rentaro succeeds to get 100 girlfriends - logistics may as well be thrown away - the anime has the potential to host of the biggest casts in anime history (and hopefully the best).

The anime is in its third season and Rentaro has about 13 girls, so if it keeps on course he will get more girls and will be bringing in more voice actors for them. It will be crazy to see how many female seiyuus this show will attract. It could stand alongside Jojo, One Piece and Gintama as one of the animes considered to have top-tier casts.

Hello. I am new here. Can the 80s MLP be discussed here?

Hello. Is this a forum where 80s MLP can be discussed here?

I am fairly new to the franchise, and I was hoping I could discuss MLP in general, even though Friendship is Magic seems to be the dominant franchise discussed here.

When Aquaman takes the Trident, it feels very "Power of Grayskull"

The Aquaman film had a distinct "Masters of the Universe" vibe - a fantasy land that combined magic and science, the half-human royal hero, the casting of He-Man actor Dolph Lundgren, the Merman-looking Trench monsters and the transformation sequence thanks to a powerful ancestral relic made it as close to a "He-Man" adaptation as could have been if it had been given a serious treatment that reduced/removed the camp and cheese.

Zazoo U (1990), a classic cartoon from my childhood

Zazoo U () was a cartoon from my childhood that I'd like to recommend to sh. It was a show about kids at an unconventional school learning about life's lessons in a cartoonish manner that also managed to be profound and meaningful. The show was produced by children's author Shane DeRolfe, and displayed a distinctly grungy style and a combination adventure, comedy, music and philosophy - not evenly, but the mix was diverse enough to keep it unique.

It only lasted 13 episodes, it wasn't too popular for various factors (uneven tone, no major commercial value). I only heard about it because the videos came to my corner of the world (the region of Southern Africa).

With that said, it is still a special show to me and I'd like to recommend it to people and hope they get interest in seeing it.

Director Barry Sonnenfeld has wanted to adapt the Metal Men for years. Can Gunn give him a chance?

Director Barry Sonnenfeld is a big fan of the Metal Men, a squad of artificial people made of various metals (gold, tin, platinum, iron, lead, and mercury), who could form their bodies into various forms . Sonnenfeld had been trying to get a film about the Metal Men done for years, but he never succeeded for various reasons.

James Gunn is a fan of using the older, more obscure superhumans. He has already brought in Polka-Dot Man and Peacemaker for The Suicide Squad, Metamorpho for the Superman film and Maxima for the sequel.

Sonnenfeld himself employs a mid-century sci-fi aesthetic for his films/TV shows (Men in Black, The Addams Family, A Series of Unfortunate Events) that would very likely appeal to Gunn. If he reaches out to Gunn again, he could succeed in getting the Metal Men a DCU feature (or at least a cameo appearance somewhere).

French actor Louis Jourdan starred in a Scooby-Doo episode

This is the same Louis Jordan who appeared in the musical Gigi, the Swamp Thing horror films and the James Bond film Octopussy. He apparently was in the "Scooby and Scrappy" episode "The Hairy Scare of the Devil Bear" as Chuck Hunt. It seems to have been his only voice acting role.

Everyone says it's him, on IMDb and on the Scooby wiki. The link provided doesn't convince me of his voice, though to be fair Jordan has portrayed so many elegant French characters that I still can't believe it's him. But if it is, it's quite a curiousity.

These two have such a similar vibe - both determined law officers with iron will in pursuit of their sworn criminal foe.

The officer on the right, for those who don't know, is Sheriff Buford T Justice aka "Smokey Bear" (Jackie Gleason) from the heist comedy Smokey and the Bandit (1977).

He's as comical and unstoppable as Zenigata can be, and both will pursue their enemy to the very ends of the earth.

A possible sequel should try the Snake Men and skip the Horde for afterwards

Travis Knight has mentioned he'd like to use She-Ra (and by extension the Horde) for a sequel for the 2026 film, which sounds effective. But alternately, he should consider the Snake Men as enemies for a second instalment.

Fan Art of King Hiss

The Snake Man are an underrated rogue group in MOTU/Eternia general lore, as an enemy race of snake people who were the previous owners of Snake Mountain. Their ranks - King Hiss made of snake bodies, Kobra Khan who sprays acid, the shaman Necro-Conda, the Snake Mt god Serpos, and other members - would make an effective enemy for He-Man and Eternia to battle against.

You could even use them as a common foe for He-Man and Skeletor to ally themselves against (predictable, but entertaining if done right).

The Flash deserves a high-octane fight on a highway, similar to this action scene

This action sequence features the villainous robots the Dreads racing along a highway. It's fast-paced and intense, switches evenly between slow-motion and real-time moments, keeps things simple and not too creative (remeber Flash swinging around like a monkey to save babies?), and is pure cinematic action.

It's action that fits the Flash. A simple super-race against speedsters (or other superhumans that can match him).

Eternals was a lost chance to look at Thanos's origin and family

Thanos's father ALars was an Eternal, and according to the comics he's part Eternal and part Deviant heritage, the result of an experiment by Alars. So this was an opportunity to look into the origins of Thanos, and how he became the balance-obssessed zealot who snapped half the universe away.

And yet, the filmmakers decided to make the Eternals artificial beings. Just scrap all that fascinating history to keep the Eternals machines who get their memory wiped over and over wherever they go. Arguably, the Eternals are effectively isolated from everyone else in the MCU, and a theme of the film is getting to see the value of others around them so that they can fight for them. But the connection with Thanos could have served as a way to slide them into the MCU, similar to how Klaw's actions in Avengers 2 led to Wakanda's eventual involvement.

And the appearance in the stinger of Thanos's brother Starfox goes nowhere. Is he supposed to be an android also? Was Thanos supposed to be an android? These questions unfortunately may never get an answer at this point.
