Boss used ChatGPT for my 6 month appraisal because he's lazy
Context: We're supposed to have monthly 1-2-1 meetings with our boss. I'm a senior manager with a multi site team, so my boss is the regional CEO.
I haven't had a monthly 1-2-1 since a 20 minute flyby in January: telling me I'm doing OK and (as I was promoted last year) I'm not eligible for the annual raise. I see him probably 10 times a week in other meetings.
He never gives positive feedback of any variety.
30 days late last week, I get my mid-year review returned by the Boss. It's (for him) surprisingly detailed, responded to my points (which is unusual) and even glowing about my performance. I'm quite pleased.
In a lull during a meeting this week, I catch my Boss telling another manager "Oh yeah, i used Chat Gpt to write ALL my appraisals this yeah- saved me so much time".
Sigh. Couldn't be bothered to engage with me once in 6 months.
What's the oldest place you've visited this week?
St Tsilio's Chapel on Church Island, Menai Straits, Wales.
Reachable only by a causeway due to the tides. Established 690ad- the building is now a mix of 14th to 17th century.
Beautifully peaceful setting.
Oh, and its totally unlocked all day and free to visit.

Kinmel Arms, Moelfre, Wales
Lovely balanced smoky malty and fruity IPA without the immediate "ERMAHGAHD GRAPEFRUIT HEADBUTT!!" of too many IPAs.
