I automated my own job. Now I want to help others

I automated my own job. Now I want to help others do the same. I was tired of doing the same repetitive steps over and over at work.
Logging into applications.
Running reports.
Downloading files.
Sorting Excel data.
Moving information between systems.
Checking and updating records.
So I decided to automate it.

What started as a small experiment has turned into something I’m genuinely enjoying.
I’ve now automated a large part of one of my regular processes. The flow can log into the application, generate the report and handle the repetitive steps automatically.

My next step is to make it smarter — automatically process the Excel output, add/update information, maintain logs, compare results with previous runs, and eventually have it run on a schedule with minimal human intervention.
And that’s when I realised:
There are probably thousands of businesses where people are spending hours every week doing exactly this kind of work.

I’m learning by actually solving real processes, and I’m looking for a few small businesses or individuals who have repetitive computer-based work that they’d like to automate.
It could be things like:
• Excel/data processing
• Report generation
• Copying information between systems
• Repetitive web/application tasks
• File processing
• Data entry
• Email-based workflows
• Weekly/monthly reporting
• Reconciliation and comparisons
If you have a process that makes you think “I do this every week and wish someone would just automate it”, I’d love to take a look.
I’m happy to start with a small project and keep the scope practical.
If you have a repetitive process you’d like to automate, DM me. I’d love to see if I can build something for you.

Kizomba dancers from India, are you attending MASK Weekender?

I dance kizomba here in India and honestly it can feel a bit isolated. The scene is small and most of the big festivals are in Europe and Africa.

I found out about Mask Weekender, a kizomba weekend happening in Mumbai this November. From what I can tell it’s very much on the authentic side, actual kizomba and semba, international artists and DJs, and it’s aimed at intermediate and above level dancers.

I have registered based on my fellow dancer’s recommendation and planning to go.

Any other dancers in India (or nearby) in this sub? Where do you dance?
Is there anyone who attended last year and how was your experience?

Hometown snack suggestions

This has been happening for years.

I come back to Mumbai with a bag full of snacks from home - murukku, banana chips, mysore pak and within a day or two it’s all gone. Colleagues, flatmates, friends, everyone descends on it.

And then the same question every time: when are you going home next? 😅

Most of them aren’t even South Indian. They just say the stuff from the store doesn’t taste like this.

And honestly, they’re right. I’ve tried every Kerala banana chips packet available here and none of them are fried in coconut oil the way they should be. The murukku is factory-made and tastes like it.

This becomes the start of Dakshin Pantry!

We source snacks directly from small family makers in Kerala, TN, Karnataka and Andhra, who makes these for generations. The actual traditional stuff in small batches and delivering in Mumbai.

Before we go live, we're putting together small sample batches and looking for early taste-testers in Mumbai. you'd get them at a lower price in exchange for brutal, honest feedback. Comment to join the list.

And tell me: what's the one snack from home you can never find a good version of here? That's literally deciding what we stock first.
