I noticed the new Generative AI performance report showing up in one of my Search Console properties.

The interesting part isn’t just that Google added another report - it gives us a separate way to look at how our pages are appearing across AI-powered search experiences.

I’m going to start comparing:

Which pages get AI visibility

AI impressions vs. traditional Search impressions

Which content gets surfaced most often

Whether AI visibility is actually translating into traffic

I'm looking for some advice about getting Medium articles indexed on Google.

My Medium profile is over 5 years old, but I'm still having indexing issues. I've published a few articles, and they're now around 5–7 weeks old. When I search Google, none of them appear to be indexed.

I also checked using:

site:medium

and even my profile and recent articles don't seem to show up, which has me wondering if I'm missing something.

A few questions I have:

How long does it usually take for Medium articles to get indexed in 2026?

Is there any safe way to request indexing for a Medium URL?

Do Medium tags, internal links, or sharing the article externally actually help?

A few years ago, great content, solid technical SEO, and backlinks could get you ranking. Now it seems like strong brands with branded searches, PR mentions, social presence, and authority have a much bigger advantage.

I've seen well known brands outrank smaller sites even when the content quality isn't better.

Do you think SEO is shifting from ranking pages to building brands, or do traditional SEO factors still matter most?

I'm looking for a reliable solution to help get backlinks indexed faster. There seem to be quite a few options available, but it's hard to tell which ones actually work.

I'm looking for a reliable solution to help get backlinks indexed faster. There seem to be quite a few options available, but it's hard to tell which ones actually work.

Which tools have given you the best results, and are they worth the cost?

A client ranked #1 for one of their primary keywords, but organic traffic still declined.

After digging deeper, it felt like the search results page had become much more crowded:

• AI Overviews answering the query directly
• Ads taking up the top positions
• Local Map Pack capturing high-intent searches
• Traditional organic results pushed further down

It made me question whether we're focusing too much on rankings and not enough on overall search visibility.

A few things I'm seeing:

• Ranking #1 doesn't always mean maximum clicks anymore
• CTR seems to be becoming a more important KPI
• Appearing in AI Overviews may be as important as traditional rankings
• Local SEO and branded visibility can impact performance even when rankings remain stable

For those managing SEO campaigns:
