My puppy has been very keen on walking himself lately and I’ll let him. He’s getting very good at it and he’s getting super good at recall and waiting for me patiently. At least I know if his leash ever happens to break he’ll know his way home + video of him eating applesauce as a treat
Would I be stupid to take out a speedy cash loan to pay my rent after accidentally misjudging when I get paid. I got a new job that pays me super well and they said we get paid every week. I thought that meant I’d get paid for my work at the end of the week. Nope that means I won’t get paid for my work until NEXT week. I need to pay my rent and so I was going to take out a speedy cash loan and pay it back when I get paid next week because I’ll have enough money. Am I stupid? I was finally making enough and I was happy but I feel like this might set me back
So I transferred to this new store and I’ve been pretty strictly 5-2 excluding shifts I picked up and my first few shifts. One week they scheduled me mid shifts but ended up changing my entire schedule that week the day before putting me 5-2 again.
I never told them I had open availability they’ve been going against my availability since I got here but since it’s summer I’m more lenient because that was for the school year (on certain days I watch my nephew after he gets out of school) anyway.
I’ve only been 5-2 since I been here. I’m planning on going back to uni so I’m trying to get them to lock me into 5-2s availability wise but they’re being so weird saying they need me to be open to working all hours. Yall have never scheduled me a shift other than 5-2 before but all of a sudden now that I can only work 5-2 it’s a problem?
I’m changing my availability idc. I’m going back to school and if they wanna let me go oh well I got a second job anyway that I choose my own schedule for and that pays way more. I just don’t understand why it’s such a hassle to change ur availability for school at that
This past month has been nothing but bad decisions at my store. If you guys remember I had posted about my coach putting regulated into auto walks and how it was slowing us all down and how half of us didn’t have access to locks. Well that’s still the case only now GMDs are also mixed in with autos and we’re even slower and our pick amounts are smaller. I’m typically in the BRC but I work from 5-2 so I pick a bit every day and ever since this new update I haven’t gotten more than 53 picks in one walk.
I’m getting frustrated because now they’re upset or pick rates have dropped so they’re taking disciplinary action on anyone who doesn’t pick over 600 items a day AND have over 100 pick rate. It used to be easier to get those numbers but now with so many of the bottom categories in auto it’s harder. Especially for me because I don’t have access to any digital locks and they’re in no hurry to give me access.
It’s a lose lose situation. They’ll coach me for causing unnecessary nil picks, they’ll coach me if I take too long to wait for someone to open the case and it’s so frustrating. Like how am I supposed to pick 100 pickrate when half of my walk is locked up and I don’t have access to any locks? I always feel bad pulling someone from their department to help me unlock cases especially because a lot of the time it’s not just one regulated item it’s like 10 and none of them are in the same spot.
They’re also coaching the entire backroom crew if our wait time is over 5 minutes even though they severely cut hours and were incredibly overwhelmed with this new system. We had over 300 Gmds this morning to bag and stage along with regular pick up and delivery and only 3 people. And most people don’t know how to stage or do anything in the back room so we’re very limited with help. Not to mention we had a HUGE rush too. Drivers were checking in after sitting in the bays and parking lots giving us no time to prep these huge orders. Nothing was staged. We had cars waiting for like 30 minutes and it was a struggle. I can’t wait to get coached because their lack of staffing and training people adequately. I also can’t wait to get coached for my super low pickrate after having to wait 10 mins for help with regulated items.
Did I mention if they talk to you about ur performance and you don’t improve with a week they’ll basically terminate you? I’m so glad i found another job because in August im out.
EDIT: our picks are ramping up a lot too and they’re cutting everyone’s hours and complaining that we’re never on top of things btw
EDIT 2: also the 300 GMDS I was talking abt were the ones that needed to be staged people were still getting them in their walks at that point. One of our people were doing them and the other 2 of us were prepping and dispensing trying to beat the rush. We actually ran out of pickcarts because there was so much to be staged and so little of us
I’ve been struggling a bit money wise living on my own with no car in a place with little public transport. I’ve had to uber to and from work and a good portion of my money went to uber because I had no other way to get to work.
Last week a coworker told me she had gotten a second job at a place that I had wanted to work at since I graduated high school and that they were still hiring. I applied and immediately got into the hiring event. I went on Tuesday and was officially hired on yesterday. Now all I have to do is get my security license which they’re paying for and get my fingerprints done then I’ll have a second job. I’ll be able to save up for a car finally. Extra income. I’ll finally make it by without scouring for scraps. I’m so fucking happy guys. And this new job is so good. Something I can really see myself doing. I’m so excited ☺️

Last (?) week maybe two weeks ago my coach informed us that she was making the decision to get rid of some bottom categories. I didn’t like it then and now that’s its actually in effect I don’t like it now.
Theyve started cutting down on pickrate and such so doing that really isn’t a smart move I don’t think. Like I transferred here not too long ago and don’t have access to ANYTHING regulated. Nor does a good chunk of associates because they’re new or transfers and they haven’t given us access yet. They’re taking their sweet time. And yes I’ve brought it up.
Anyways I got an auto just a minute ago. 83 items and what normally would take me 15-20 mins took 30 because I have no access to anything and had to wait for people in different departments to unlock things for me and ended up having to nilpick some and tell our exemption worker (who understands god bless) because I genuinely couldn’t wait as it would’ve gone late.
It’s just frustrating having a walk and then having to wait for an iPad or something from electronics in the middle of their rush because it’s locked up and they decided to put it in auto.
Honestly I don’t understand why she did it. She said it was because some regulated items already appear in auto but why not just fix that instead of putting all regulated items in auto. Especially when a chunk of ur associates don’t have access to any regulated items and you want us to pick faster

This is my ghostie Marlo. He was born last year on Halloween.
Today was absolutely HORRIBLE. I posted a few hours ago about how my puppy escaped his crate. Well now I have to buy a new one because he managed to nibble the zip ties and break them. I don’t know why he’s having such a hard time in the crate. He was at the crate in the shelter and crate trained at the foster home he was in. I’ve only had him for a little over two weeks so I know he’s settling in but it’s just so…
He’s 6 almost 7 months old and a pit mix. I know I have to be patient but positive reinforcement isn’t working. He has had no accidents in the crate but he pees all over my floor after breaking out of it while I’m at work.
He’s not small and I came home and he all but forced my bedroom door open to get to my cats. The door is a bit iffy and doesn’t shut well so with enough force you can just push it open if that makes sense. He ripped up his toothbrush packaging, ate the ENTIRE bag of treats, knocked over my tv, chased my cats, chewed up my shoes and pissed and pooped all over my floor after escaping the crate.
I had a camera to watch and talk to him while away but my cat ate the wires and I haven’t been able to get a new one. I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to redirect him when it comes to the cats. I’ll tell him to stop and he’ll listen. He’ll stop and come lay next to me. But it seems he doesn’t really know it’s wrong. And I know he’s a puppy but I’m so frustrated I don’t know how to correct him. I don’t know how to train him and help him.
I’m struggling to redirecting him from chewing stuff he’s not supposed to. He has toys. His crate is comfortable besides the fact it doesn’t have a bed because he ripped it open and ate it. He also ate the blanket I had covering it. I’m really struggling please help. He gets treats when he does good things and i redirect him when he doesn’t. I try my best to make sure his crate time isn’t negative but I feel like I’m failing him.

I recently just transferred from a different store to the one I’m at now but they do things a hell of a lot different. For example, their back room crew one is a stager at my old store. We had two back rooms and four people. One was a stager, and that stager was in its own room I’m not saying we need to have a different room for all the orders. I’m just saying maybe instead of taking one of the only three people in the back room to go stage we can have a stager separately. The stager typically took care of staging the ambience cart and the GMD‘s however I know that that’s not going to work because of the way things are set up, but I think that we should at least have a stager that does not come out of the prepper dispenser or anything else of the sort.
So today we had I’m not gonna say short staff cause we had a lot of people however the BRC crew was very short step that was me that came in at six. Someone else came in at seven and one person came in at eight and that was it until our in-home drivers came in at nine and then that was it for the rest of the day until 4:30 PM so at six, it’s me and one other person and for some reason our pickers decided that they didn’t wanna stay their cart so when I came in at six, knowing that there was no stager, there was at least five carts. So we’re already behind because there’s five carts of just pure ambient, but there was also GMD cards for some reason because there was 7 o’clock GMD a.k.a. 6:30 AM GMD’s. so I had to pull one of the pickers and I was like hey can you stay back here with me and she was like yes but I’m going to do GMD‘s cause there’s so many cards back there and I told her I was like OK that’s that’s OK. I don’t mind that and so I went and staged the ambient cards to oversize cards and I started prepping prepping and dispensing actually of course at 6:45 when the BRC open we got hit with a rush and that was literally only me back there prepping in the spin at 7 AM when the next person came in and my team lead came in they staged the cars that I hadn’t gotten to yet and then she sent the person who was supposed to be back there with me to go pick why do that so now it’s just me back there it’s literally just me and I’m prepping staging dispensing all of the sorts and then she’s getting mad at me because I’m not doing quality checks. I don’t have time to do quality checks and I could you not. I was back there alone until 8 AM when the next person came In when the next person came in she my team leader had her staging and I was really annoyed because again she staging, but I still have to prep and dispense by myself and there’s a rush and I’m just frustrated because she’s not helping me prep. She’s not helping me dispense it. It’s literally just me dispensing and prepping by myself and it’s getting hot outside because I live in Texas and so obviously I’m struggling with the heat. I’m dripping sweat and it’s just me by myself and we’re in the red for damn near everything.
I come back from break and again it’s still just me back there as she pulled the stager to do exclusively gmd which means im back to staging and prepping myself. Theres an L cart with 5 packs of waters in totes on it all for one person and im trying to figure out what I’m going to do with them because the dolly with the person was already full and we were kind of running out of space so I just decided to to grab a another dolly and put the waters on it, but before I could my team yells at me from down by the GMD station where her and the other person who was staging the GMD‘s were and asked me if I could stage the l cart and I get a little frustrated because I’m about to stage it anyway, but you know whatever so I move the I move four out of five of the waters onto the dolly and before I could get to the fifth one, a order popped up in the queue and it was two minutes away, so I stopped what I’m doing to go prep that by the time I finish prepping it the order is there because it was a big order. The driver is there for the order and my team that comes over and she looks at the waters that’s not stage and she kind of just like throws her hands up like drugs or soda kind type thing and I’m just annoyed because she’s annoyed that I didn’t stage it but now I’m annoyed because I didn’t have time to finish staging it because I also have to dispense and prep by myself but she’s getting upset with me for not being able to stage everything.
Anyway the rest of the day was spent like that with very little people in the back room except for about 1 hour where we had 4 and then at 1 we had 4 people back there but at 2 one left, two went to lunch and for my last hour I was alone again.
I don’t get why the pickers can’t stage their own carts. Even when I’m by myself they won’t let the pickers stager their own carts. It’s so annoying seeing carts lined up I have to stage but no time to stage it when the pickers could just stage their own carts (not all the time of course) but idk if you have 1 item dropping the entire cart is kind of unnecessary though no?
I guess I’m just annoyed I was alone most of my shift today when we had the people to be back there but my team lead kept sending them away

Guys I’m struggling. I have a 6 month old pit mix that I got on Tuesday. I know he’s still in the adjustment period but he’s doing things that can seriously hurt him and me saying no isn’t helping. I’ve tried positive reinforcement to steer him away but he keeps doing it.
He’s being crate trained and for the most part he already is. He was in a shelter but for a few months he was in foster where they helped crate and potty train him. He was doing really good. He only started whining if I didn’t cover the crate but yesterday he wouldn’t stop crying no matter what. I wasn’t going to put him in the crate but he tried to drink the mop water while I was cleaning and it was for his safety because he just won’t listen to the word no.
Originally I wasn’t going to use a crate but he jumped over the pen and baby gate I brought for him. Anyway on Sunday I came home and he had escaped his crate and peed and pooped all over my apartment. I take him out before work and play with him to drain his energy and it usually works but something happened on Sunday and it didn’t. Then last night I had him in the crate again and he wasn’t even in there for 20 mins before he broke out of it and pissed on my floor after I had just taken him outside. We were out there for like 40 minutes.
He chews on stuff he’s not supposed to like somehow he ended up with a battery and almost swallowed it while I was in the restroom. I try to correct him with his appropriate chew toys but he will literally go off and find something and chew on it anyway. The first night I brought him home he ate my remote. He destroyed my cat’s toys and then tries to eat their food despite having his own?? He will literally bypass his food for theirs??? I tell him no and I tell him to stop but the moment I’m not looking he goes and does it again.
He also will randomly lay down in the middle of the street! I live in an apartment and we have to walk across the like drive way thingy to get to his favorite potty spot and the other day his almost got hit by a car because the car was too impatient to wait for us to finish crossing and he was walking a little slower than I was. I literally had to yank him out of the way which definitely scared him but he KEEPS doing it. I’ve tried to lure him with treats but if he doesn’t want to do something he really will fight it.
He is very loved with lots of play time and toys. He gets to watch bluey on the tv I strategically set by his crate while I’m gone. We play fetch and tug of war he gets treats when he does good things and listens but I have no idea how to steer him away from repetitive bad behaviors. It’s only been a week I know patience is a big thing but I absolutely CANNOT have him laying in the middle of the street because he decided he didn’t want to walk across. Please help me
