Favorite character who was supposed to be a metaphor for incurable diseases and disabilities and show how people can persevere through the struggles that come with them. But then a writer decided to cure it anyway?

Uj/ I understand characters should develop and change. But I also think Rogue not being able to touch people is such a fundamental part of her that it shouldn't have been changed as something she can do now. As someone with an incurable condition this always annoyed me.

It works better if her inability to touch metaphorically goes away because she lives with it and perseveres. Not that it goes away because she gains the ability to make it literally go away.

Famous football player Jamal Musiala suffers two absence seizures two games in a row. Comes out as having a 'neurological dysfunction' which I assume is a form of epilepsy

Bayern Munich winger Jamal Musiala has revealed he is suffering from “treatable absence seizures” after he collapsed on the pitch for the second time in four days.

Full statement he gave on Instagram hours after collapsing during a friendly game:

"First things first, I am doing well. I am incredibly grateful for your messages and your support!

"I understand that many of you are worried. I would like to put those concerns to rest today and explain the situation: I have been diagnosed with brief, temporary - but treatable - absence seizures resulting from a neurological dysfunction.

"These can lead to the kind of incidents seen recently, such as during the match against Leipzig or the game in Heidenheim.

"I know they might look alarming at first glance, but for me, they are currently part of my everyday life. I am receiving excellent medical care and remain very optimistic. FC Bayern and my personal support network are right by my side, helping me through this.

"Importantly, there is no further health risk involved. In close consultation and regular contact with the experts, it was my personal wish to face this challenge; with the medical clearance of the neurologists, I want to continue doing what helps my recovery most: simply living my life and pursuing my passion for playing football.

"I have taken full responsibility for this decision. Overall, I feel very positive and am on the right track.

"What helps me most on this journey is continuing to chase victories and titles with my team and with your amazing support.

"I hope this helps you understand the situation better. At the same time, I ask for your understanding regarding my wish to keep this matter private, sharing it only with my closest circle, the club, and the medical experts."

It turns out Marvel Rivals isn't the first game Danny Koo produced where there was a controversy over the treatment of Storm that he had to address

Rogue's ult might genuinely be the most useless ult in the game. It's only good for forcing out other ultimates, which nearly every other ult does anyway

[Fernando Polo] Araujo has an option to buy

Never heard of this guy but Fraudrizio replied so I'd assume he's right

There's a mistake in the patch notes. Rogue has 225 shields not 250. So either she's getting 50 more instead of 25 or it's a typo

[Pearce] Szoboszlai: “It’s not my job to say who we have to sign or if we have to sign someone, But if the guys above and the manager decide to sign someone then we’ll be very happy and welcome them well. If they decide not to then we get on with it and we have to do something special with the squad

Dominik Szoboszlai says he trusts Liverpool’s recruitment staff to make the right decisions regarding strengthening the squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Having lost Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate at the end of last season, Liverpool have so far only added two new signings in Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is their top attacking target, but injuries have left them short defensively with new head coach Andoni Iraola having to rely on teenage centre-backs Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye during the pre-season tour of America.

However, when the squad reconvene at Kirkby on Wednesday they are set to be boosted by the return of captain Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Alisson and Munoz.

“It’s not my job to say who we have to sign or if we have to sign someone,” Szoboszlai said.

“But if the guys above and the manager decide to sign someone then we’ll be very happy and welcome them well. If they decide not to (sign more players) then we get on with it and we have to do something special with this squad.

The Hungary midfielder was impressed by how Ndukwe, Ndiaye and academy graduate Luke Chambers stepped up during the U.S. tour to fill the defensive void. Young midfielder Trey Nyoni was arguably Liverpool’s standout performer across the three matches in Nashville, New York and Chicago.

“I knew always that Trey is a good player,” he added. “In training he has shown his quality many times. Also when he had the chance to play in some cup games or even in the Premier League. The youngsters at the back also did very well both in the training sessions and the games. They are one of us. The squad is short so we need everybody.”

Szoboszlai was keen to set the record straight regarding fellow midfielder Alexis Mac Allister after saying “if Alexis comes back” when discussing the Argentina international at a press conference in the build up to last Sunday’s final tour game against Leeds United. Mac Allister is due to report back for duty at Kirkby next weekend.

“That was just my English guys,” he explained. “It’s not if, it’s when he comes back. So now I make it clear. Can you post this for me as well? He is coming back and he’s going to be part of the team as much as I know.”

Szoboszlai also played down the heated exchange he had with Curtis Jones over the captain’s armband following last week’s game against Wrexham in New York. Jones wasn’t happy that Szoboszlai gave it to Kostas Tsimikas rather than him when he was substituted in the second half.

“It was never a debate between us three,” he said. “We just discussed something on the pitch. Afterwards you guys (the media) made it very big. Next time we will manage to do it in the changing room. Nobody was angry at no-one. It’s all cleared up. We are cool.”

Szoboszlai added that there “hasn’t been any conversation” about who the new vice-captain would be following Robertson’s departure..

“It was a very proud moment for me to have it,” he said. “Let’s see what happens. It’s not my choice. It’s not fixed.

“If you get offered the vice-captaincy of Liverpool FC, you’re going to take it. I would be proud but I respect everybody. Whoever it’s going to be, we’re going to follow them.”

Vanguard is the only role that consistently has a problem with people playing them. What can the devs change to fix this?

The biggest complaint I ever see from other Vanguard players is that they have to solo tank a lot. But the reason for this is simple, not enough people want to play the role.

Quick play especially has this problem which I think is damning. If you go into quick play and play 30 games or so, I guarantee in at least half you will half no or 1 vanguard. People queue quick play to have fun and they aren't choosing vanguards to have fun.

I think part of the issue is as it stands, a large part of the vanguard roster is very reactionary. What I mean by this is you react to what the enemy does, you don't make plays on your own.

For example Emma, her strongest tool is her grab. But you don't use that grab to make plays, you use it to stop the other team from doing so or to capitalise on an error they made, Magneto who's biggest asset is his bubbles which he uses to react to what the other team does, or The Thing who's typically used to deal with other teams divers.

This isn't saying vanguards *can't* and shouldn't make plays. But their capacity to do so is limited and requires much more gamesense and capitalising on mistakes compared to the other two roles.

A lot of people say you can't fix tanking, it'll always be the least played role. But I think compared to 6v6 Overwatch (yes I know, comparing this game to Overwatch is overdone but it's the perfect comparison) tanking in Rivals still just feels a lot more passive with less carry potential and agency.

Tanking will never be a very popular role. But I think it can be a lot better than it is right now

Does anyone else find it impossible to win with this little fucker on your team

I swear I just had a game with a Jeff. His ults lost us two fights. Not the other team. Us. One did nothing but seperate us and the other just got them killed immediately in the fight. I don't think they got a single kill with their ult

More importantly, I'm never getting good sustain with a Jeff. The other tanks always get more meaning I'm constantly backing up or just straight up dying

[Ben Jacobs] Liverpool have held preliminary talks for Bradley Barcola, but formal club-to-club negotiations are yet to begin. Likely to change soon. Barcola is Liverpool's leading target, but a deal is price dependent. PSG's starting point is €170m, which Liverpool view as inflated and unrealistic
