I took the IMAT 2026 today at the Delhi test centre and wanted to ask if anyone else noticed something similar.

After the exam, I overheard a candidate talking to his friends. While joking around, he said that he had used Meta smart glasses to cheat during the exam and that he would “surely get 80+.”

However, he was apparently not caught during the exam, and I found the conversation concerning enough that I reported it to the relevant authorities and asked them to investigate if CCTV or invigilator records can verify what happened.

I'm posting this because unauthorized assistance could potentially affect the fairness of the results, especially with limited IMAT seats.

If anyone else was at the Delhi centre and noticed something similar, I'd be interested to know. Please keep this factual and don't share anyone's personal information.

Okay so I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I’m planning to study abroad next year, and instead of waiting until I move to start making content, I’m thinking of starting now.

Not really with “influencer” content though. I want my channel to eventually be personality/lifestyle focused funny, relatable, girly, sometimes self-development, sometimes vlogs, and then my life abroad naturally becomes part of it.

For my first video I’m thinking of just sitting in front of the camera and talking about “Am I actually ditching NEET?” and casually editing it. I don’t expect anyone to watch it lol, I mainly want to learn long-form filming, editing, thumbnails and actually talking to a camera.

Then hopefully by the time I’m making videos like “girl, let’s pack my entire life into two suitcases because we’re moving to Europe”, I won’t look like a terrified monkey in front of the camera 😭

Do you guys think starting now is better than waiting until I move abroad?

I’m an 18-year-old student who works part-time in social media management. My main experience is content strategy, graphics, copywriting, LinkedIn/Instagram content, Pinterest, etc.

I recently joined a transportation engineering education business for what was presented to me as a social media/growth role. I made it clear from the beginning that I'm from a completely different academic background and know absolutely nothing about transportation engineering, but I was willing to learn and research.

Initially, I was doing things like LinkedIn copywriting, banners, graphics, posts, carousels and strategy. Then the scope slowly expanded into lead generation, CRM, cold outreach, WhatsApp Business, customer enquiries, course promotion, Udemy, certificates, referrals, course operations and more. At one point, I was sent a document with responsibilities that genuinely looked like the jobs of 3–4 different people 😭

The biggest issue was that I was expected to create content for a highly technical field I knew nothing about. For example, I recently made a post about trip generation. Before researching it, I genuinely didn't even know such a concept existed. So obviously I used Google and AI tools for research, cross-checked information and then created the content. Apparently, that later became an issue too.

I also regularly documented my work through EOD emails, timesheets, spreadsheets, Drive files and reports from day one.

Then there were technical issues with Zoho CRM and later Udemy. I informed him about both, showed proof that I was trying to resolve them, and spent time troubleshooting. He basically told me that if these issues continued, he wouldn't be able to work with me.

So I said okay—if you don't want to continue working with me, please pay me for the hours I've already worked.

And THAT'S when the payment drama started.

Suddenly, my working hours are being questioned and I'm being asked to explain tasks from 6–7 days ago, despite literally documenting everything multiple times from day one. Now I'm being told some work might have been “drafts,” “research,” “required revision,” or “attempted but not completed.”

But I was paid hourly. Research is still work. Drafting is still work. Revisions are still work. Troubleshooting an assigned task is still work. I never claimed that every single task was a completed final deliverable—I documented things like the Udemy issue as attempted but not completed.

I'm genuinely wondering: is this normal scope creep, or is this client just trying to avoid paying for the hours I already worked?

Because at this point, I feel like I was hired for social media, gradually given multiple completely different roles, and the moment I asked to be paid for the work I'd already done, suddenly every single hour became questionable. 😭

Would love an outside perspective because this entire situation is genuinely insane to me.

For context the amount is just 4k and it's shocking that why someone is being so cheap for such a small amount like even being a student it's still a small amount to me so it's Obv not that big deal for a NRI living in USA. This guy is genuinely looking like a psycho , he has asked me to explain my working hours 3 times in a same day and atp it's just drama to avoid paying me . Any suggestions what to do now? Should I consider sending him a legal notice or should I just forget my money because this poor ahh psycho ain't gonna pay me back atp💔 genuinely embarrassing how these old dudes keep exploiting young kids. My hourly pay was 200/hr btw🤣💔 still sm drama when it comes to paying

Ok so I started an instagram page for my professional work and cold outreaching, it's been 2 days so reach is OBVIOUSLY low and I got 20 followers in 2 days ..idk I'm lowkey feeling disappointed and demotivated and burnout is this normal? .. and about cold outreaching , I didn't text many brands and business owners because I want to build a good profile and posts and followers first then approach , however I was following a strategy to analyse their page and product and point out 1 mistake they've been doing and tell the solution to it , so they don't end up wasting their time reading a cold pitch. However I'm being ignored 😭😭 should I stop giving advices and do normal pitches? Or my strategy is good I just need to apply it with many people

Indeed: way too much competition. I've applied to a lot of relevant social media/content roles, and despite having relevant skills, experience and measurable results, I haven't gotten a single response.

Upwork: seems promising, but having to spend money on Connects just to apply makes it difficult when you're still trying to get your first few clients.

Contra: there are some insanely talented SMMs/content creators with amazing portfolios, and I feel like it's really difficult to stand out.

LinkedIn: I've tried networking and looking for opportunities there, but I rarely come across actual clients.

Reddit: I've found opportunities here, but I've either been ghosted or come across people who seem suspicious/scammy.

For context, I'm not completely new to this. I've worked with a healthcare SaaS startup, a digital marketing company and a small business, and I handle much more than just posting — strategy, content calendars, copywriting, graphic design, reel editing, basic SEO, analytics/reporting, etc.

I've also had some measurable results, including 100K+ reach on a personal Pinterest project, 10K reach for a new social account within 30 days, and contributing to 2 leads within a month for a company.

I'm currently building my portfolio as well.

So for those of you who are actually getting clients consistently: where are you finding them, and more importantly, HOW are you approaching them?

Cold email? Instagram DMs? LinkedIn outreach? Local businesses? Referrals? Freelance platforms?

I'd genuinely appreciate any advice, especially from people who started with little/no network and managed to land their first few clients.
