day 1 and I already don’t recognize my relationship with food

Started my first dose today. So far today all I’ve had is an 80cal bag of popcorn and three bites of yogurt. I’m not thinking about food.

I opened the yogurt because I knew I needed to eat something, took a few bites, then got distracted on my phone and legit almost knocked it off the couch because I forgot it was sitting there. That has never happened to me. Normally if I stop eating something mid-way it’s because I didn’t like it. I used to read about food noise and think it was just chatter or thoughts about food, but for me, food noise was food being my main “event” or source of entertainment, and now it’s not.

I can tell I could eat a few bites of Chipotle right now if I wanted, but the idea of finishing a whole bowl doesn’t even register the way it used to.

I’m kinda emotional right now to be honest. Now I actually have to plan to eat food instead of just letting my cravings guide my entire day.

Picture for attention.

Posted in my building. I have gas appliances.

every time I catch a whiff of gas, I dutifully leave my gas stove, gas oven, and the building’s gas drying machine behind to go sniff-test my neighbors’ houses first

CPT 99214 + 90833

Hi all! I am a PMHNP counseling patient :)

My PMHNP bills every session as 99214 + 90833 (telehealth, GT modifier). I am on psych meds that she was prescribing, but medication management never actually happened in session. Any communication about refills was handled over email because she was failing to get them in on time. I handed that burden to my GP instead bc I cannot afford to keep paying out of pocket for 'hold me over' refills while she figures her shit out. I don’t even know if this is the right question to ask but now that she's no longer prescribing at all, is there any legitimate basis for continuing to bill 99214? I have been trying to understand why my rates are twice as high with this therapist as opposed to my previous LPC... since neither really seem to be prescribing even though one has the ability to. Just trying to understand if this is standard practice or not.

What are some symptoms that make traveling long distances impossible for you?

I have Hashimoto’s and I always feel gaslit when I tell my family I can’t just drive for 10 hours and stay over etc.
