People who are on here saying "how am I short?" when they post their parents' height and their mother be any from 4'8-5'...... That is why! Unless your father was 7 ft tall. Don't be surprised that you're going to be short..... Hell even if your father is 7 ft tall don't be surprised that you're short , when your mother is the height of an Olympic level gymnast.

There are going to be short people in the world and don't be surprised if you're one of them, it's okay. There's nothing wrong with it, people are going to be assholes about your height just like their assholes about my skin color both are genetic.

I can understand if your parents are both average height or both tall and you are wondering where your shortness came from; but if you have one short parent (in some cases, these people have two short parents) and wondering why you are not tall, your answer is because you have a short parent.

Get over it and get a stool! I'm 5'4"-5'5" my dad is 5'8 and mom is 5'2.....yes I'm not surprised and never was that I'm short

I made a post in the sub called controversial opinions, all I said was pro-choice people make terrible arguments. They and guess what? I got a bunch of pro choice people with terrible arguments who are not only wrong but was stupid and loud about it.

I said if you don't want to have a baby then don't have sex was invatted argument. And all these foods were saying the dumbest things. One person said that consensual sex doesn't mean you consent to pregnancy, another person said babies don't come from sex. It just got worse and worse.

I also told them when they said that abortion is better than sending children to foster care. I told them they essentially saying that people who are in foster care would have been better off and they were never born. I told them. Would you go up to somebody and tell them that?.

I told them that it's crazy how y'all say it's a clump of cells, but you wouldn't tell a woman who had a miscarriage that she just lost her club cells and should get over it?

How could people be so stupid? How?! Just how is it something in the water?!

Let me start by saying I'm not pro choice or pro.life. I'm not arguing for either side and I can't say i truly care but i will say pro choice need to learn how to debate

Their valid points:

1. abortion is good for medical issues like an unviable pregnancy

2)rape(but it can see how it's debatable because i know people who are a product of rape and i would never tell them they should have been aborted)

3. you should mind your business(again that's also debatable)

They don't admit that most (almost all) abortions are out of convenience, they try so hard to direct the conversation to rape and medical issues which make up between 1-5% of abortions. But here's the thing if they feel like nothing is wrong with abortions it shouldn't matter what reason women get one. It's like they try to justify it but if it's not a bad thing then there should not be anything to justify

They say it's not a baby, but when a woman has a miscarriage you don't tell her get over it you only lost a clump of cells. Why is a miscarriage a baby but an abortion isn't.

If people actually see it as killing a baby, they are going to see it as evil. Yes some people take it too far and bring religion into it regardless if the pregnancy is viable, but if a normal minded person sees it as a baby it makes perfect sense

When people say if you don't want a baby then don't have sex is a completey logical argument. Pro choice people say"you can't expect people not to have sex" it's basically saying "you can't expect people to be responsible and not expect consequences for their actions" and why are you sleeping with someone you wouldn't want to have a child with that is a waste of time.

They say look at all the children in foster care when people use adoption as an alternate.

Okay but I know people who came out of foster care. I also wouldn't tell them they would have been better off aborted. But I get that adoption isn't foolproof.

I know women and have friends who've had abortions. I don't really think any less than them. I really don't care. It's not my baby. You could do whatever you want with your kid. But I hate terrible arguments

If you look at how many hours they actually put in of work and most of these people have to take work home with them. They don't really make a lot of money. Someone who makes $20 an hour and work 40 hours per week makes $800 before taxes, if they get overtime and work as many hours after people who make $100,000 a year then will make a lot more.

Most people in these so-called high power positions put in 80 hours a week that doesn't even include the work they got to do from home when they're supposed to be off. They are also in a higher tax bracket so depending on what they're able to write off they can walk away with $75,000 per year and if they live in a state like New York they can have $68,000 per year after state taxes.

If you make $20 per hour and do side jobs where you get paid under the table where people are less likely to claim it on their taxes. They actually walk out the winners. Because after they clock out they don't got to think about working till they clock back in.

Also, these people tend to have higher expenses than people with regular jobs.

Edit: I realized I could have worded it better. I'm not saying that people who make $20 an hour make more on paper. Of course, people who make $100,000 a year make more. I'm saying and compared to the amount of work that they do and what they are compensated, somebody who makes $20 an hour can come out better. For an example, if I got paid $50 for 2 hours worth of work, but you got paid $500 for 40 hours worth of work. I technically came out better even though you made more money than I did. I shouldn't have said MOST people but I should have said A LOT OF PEOPLE.

We have enough resources for literally everything human in the United States to have their own house.

The houses don't have to be extravagant a basic 800-1500 square foot house

"The market could crash". Well let it crash! If the market requires people to suffer maybe we shouldn't have it. Plus people aren't buying houses now what is going to change when the people who can't afford a house and may never buy one gets one for free. Maybe they will have extra money to circulate in the economy?!

Everyone who disagrees because they don't see how it would be practical is one thing, everyone else who disagrees because you can't fathom someone getting help that they need EVEN THOUGH YOU WOULD GET THE EXACT SAME THING when you don't even need it you are beyond stupid and evil. Everyone who can't afford a house is not a drug addict, people are not going to turn the country into a wasteland because they get a free house.

We are used to racism but we are not used to people just using cringy humor and swearing to God that we're just being sensitive about it. To them calling a black person n***** is a punch line and then they call it sensitive when we say what the hell is wrong with you.

I saw white comedians do racial jokes but when they were funny even black people laughed because they were actually good at telling jokes. They weren't just going out of their way to be racist.

Here me out, she was very fearful and delicate as a little girl before she learned earth bending. Plus she hid it from them for years and played into the role of being helpless.

I think a lot of teachers should actually get paid less and fired

So many people say teachers are underpaid and they are wrong. A lot of teachers are shitty at their jobs and shitty people in general.

I had teachers say racist things to students, insult them, lie on them and bully them.

​

People say "well if you understand how terrible these children are" they are children they are supposed to be annoying it's part of God's design so that it deters you from kidnapping them.

​

My Grandmother was a teacher and a great one, she taught me how to read and all her students i met praised her best she did her job well.....my teacher didn't teach me how to read and never tried.

I had a teacher make lewd comments about my body (i was a 11 year old boy she was a 40 plus year old woman)

I had teachers tell the class about their relationship problems. Their personal lives and just be all round unprofessional.

​

I had lazy teachers, my sibling and their friends had teachers who would watch porn during class and dismiss them,my mother had teachers who were drunks, there are teachers who sleep with students (mostly gym teachers).

The literacy level is constantly going down. My friends children aren't learning black history the are going to middle school and don't know anything Nat turner, Fredrick Douglas or Harriet Tubman.

I had so many great teachers who had their flaws but still did their job well.

Hey, i made a visit to Jamaica last year and stayed for about a month. I talked to a lot of people they asked me how old i was and when I asked them they would either change their answers or avoid the question. It was mostly men that did it.
