Mounjaro Golden dose

Mounjaro Golden dose

I am on my fifth week of Mounjaro 2.5, and realized that I had to take a fifth dose before meeting my endo this week.

Last week I noticed that there was still some medicine left and then searched about it and came to know about the "golden dose", the extra medicine which is left in KwikPen, to account for priming and spillage.

So I saw a couple of videos and extracted the golden dose in an insulin pen. It was slightly more than 0.6ml. So after priming and spilling a bit, I think I still had slightly more than 0.6ml.

The only challenging part is that an insulin needle is longer, so I had to insert it halfway and then hold it with one hand while pressing with the other. Eventually I guessed I saved Rs 3000.

After 1 month, this is equally satisfying than 3-4 kg weightloss

Before starting Mounjaro, my HbA1c was 10.1

I did my 4th dose yesterday and for the first time in last 5 yrs, my Fasting/PP blood sugar was less 100/140. That too after having decent breakfast and very light sugar tea.

Can't tell you how happy I am. Need to do Hb1Ac next weekend before my followup but hoping for a reduction in that as well.

The hurt of betrayal

I was looking back at some old pics and found this funny video from last year when I went to my native. There is a stray cat named Kiki who comes to our place. My sister and niece are animal lovers and care for 5-6 indie dogs as well. She says nearby as well so when either of them come to my parents place, few Indies also follow them.

Kiki is afraid of them and the gate is always closed, so the indies are generally outside.

This time my sis opened the gate so one of the Indie came inside. And guess where Kiki decodes to jump to. All that with the face of the hurt of betrayal as if asking, what did I do to you to deserve this.

Saw a bulbul this close for the first time

Yesterday I needed to wait for my wife for 15 mins, so parked in a secluded spot nearby a bush. Then opened the window to enjoy the breeze and suddenly 2 bulbul came to pick on the seeds/berries. One flew away but the other one stayed long enough to let me capture her video. Honestly I never saw bulbul from this close ever.

Madam ji occupied one chair at barber for herself

I met this furball earlier as well at my regular barbershop, but I didn't know what she owned the joint.

https://www.reddit.com/r/indiasocial/s/Slk1KaqrXb

Today when I went for a haircut, I saw her occupying one chair for herself and sleeping so deeply, that neither the songs or my gentle touch bothered her. Later she woke up on her own, probably by a fly, and was looking sleepy. When I asked her to go back to sleep, she gave the biggest yawn ever and went back to sleep.

Using higher dose Mounjaro for lower doses

I am on week 3 of Mounjaro 2.5 feeling positive about it. I am going to meet my endo after next week and I am pretty sure he would suggest to continue with 2.5mg or to increase to 5mg.

I found few posts/videos on people using higher dose Mounjaro to take lower doses as it costs less. But it would last longer than 1 month.

However few other posts and Mounjaro's manual says to not use the opened pen after 1 month, as there is chance if contamination.

Is anyone using a higher dose pen for lower doses? And if yes, how is your experience.

Ideal time to take Mounjaro

Hi All. I took my first dose of Mounjaro 2.5 last Saturday at around 2 PM. No serious side effects but I felt slight burp and acidity after eating fruits in evening.

I have to repeat the dose today. Shall I do it now or wait till night after dinner etc to minimize side-effects.

What time of the day did you guys choose to take GLP1.

Never order electronics or home appliances from Blinkit

TLDR; Don't order electronics or household items from Blinkit, as if the product in not what is mentioned, they will not honor it and route you to brand service center after wasting your time.

Story:

I ordered Ailkin charger from Blinkit few times in the last 2 years. It is cheap and always worked flawlessly.

Last week I thought I would get one for the office as well. So I ordered it and noticed that it is not fast charging. Also the box doesn't say 100w SuperVooc, except a small sticker. I immediately contacted blinkit customer support to return the product, and they told me to troubleshoot for 40 minutes only to be told that they can't do anything and cannot return. What was the point of troubleshooting if they never intended to return it.

I asked for supervisor but they told that I will get a call back in 1-2 hrs, but I never did. I checked again after few hrs, next day twice but after 4 attempts, no callback. I gave them all the proof, showing slow charging and comparing with previous charger but they never responded for callback request.

Then I escalated to grievance team, but they told that they are just the seller and it could be a brand issue so I need to contact the brand and they are not liable.

At this point I already wasted over 4 hours in 2 days for a 800rs charger, and I knew it is not going anywhere. So I didn't followup and made a promise to never trust Blinkit for Electronics and Household items as they will not return it in case of issues.

They are good for groceries and basic stuff but don't trust them for costly items.

Anyways that's my rant wasting 10 more minutes but wanted to convey this message.

Avoid Nagar road to travel towards Kharadi/Wagholi as of now

Sorry bit late to post but saw few posts on this so thought of clarifying.

There is some Palkhi procession going on Nagar road. By 6 PM it was near Ramwadi Metro. Not sure where it reached as of now. It took me 1 hr to cross from Gunjan Theater till Shastri Chowk.

So if you absolutely have to travel on Nagar road towards Kharadi/Wagholi, check Google maps first. Alternatively you can try below reoutes as well (check ETA on Maps).

1: Airport Road, Lohegaon, Mahalaxmi Lawns.

2: Bund Garden, KP, Mundhwa

If you are coming from further behind (West/South), better take Camp, Fatima Nagar, Hadapsar, Mundhwa route.

Please don't break the rules and drive responsibly. It's gonna be a long evening. Take care.

How ignorant could some people be

On a popular city subreddit someone posted a cute photo of a few strays sleeping comfortably outside their home at night. Lovely photo.

I found this comment where someone is saying why they don't find "good quality" strays instead of "wild desi and terrible breeds".

First I thought they are being sarcastic but later realized the ignorance.

PS: Please don't attack him/her by finding their account. That's why I blurred the subreddit and the commentor's name. Kudos to the person defending indies there.

Could anyone from Pune confirm which doctor are you consulting and how is your feedback/journey

I want to consult an Endocrinologist in Pune. I searched for Practo but couldn't find any reviews related to GLP1. So can someone from Pune let me know which doctor are you consulting and how is the feedback and about your journey. If it helps, I stay in Kharadi but can travel anywhere if doctor is good.

Wagholi/Kharadi aerial view while landing

Had clear visibility today while landing from Wagholi side (Runway 28). It's very rare as generally due to smog nothing is visible correctly but today I was able to clearly see Manjri Township, Panchshil Towers, EON 2 and 1 etc. I was able to spot my society as well in Kharadi.

See if you can spot your home/office if you stay/work in this area.
