Before we came to the faith again we were sterilized and now I regret it. What brought us to it was we had a miscarriage on bc (again before we came to Catholicism), so we thought we’d sterilize to eliminate the possibility of abortion or going through it. At the time it made sense. Now? Huge mistake clearly. I regret it but spouse doesn’t totally regret it as it does make life easier but we’re not necessarily called to an easy life - and vocation. We’ve confessed it (I think they have), but it’s hard. I asked a priest about it and he said spiritual motherhood or fatherhood was the way to go now, to keep nurturing. Is this our purgatory? Still newer in the faith - less than 5 years back.
Also are both genders impressed upon the importance of family and having the openness to life and the sacrifice that comes with it w marriage? Because my spouse didn’t seem to get that part and wouldn’t have helped in rearing kids. That also makes things complicated as I didn’t want to do it by myself. Maybe that’s wrong as well?
So here’s something I’ve always wondered about - with the hanta virus about, thought I’d ask. Why did Trump disparage medical professionals when he was part of operation warp speed supposedly? Imo if he’d had our backs it would have gone much better than it did. And yes it was as bad as the news reported in most areas, most people just didn’t care enough (from a front line worker standpoint).
