I am a Notary Public in CA and only perform notarial acts for my employer during business hours. It is a very controlled environment.

I want to be a mobile notary in the evenings and the weekends to make money for myself. What is the best way to go about this? What do I need logistically?

- file business documents to protect myself in case i get sued

- insure my vehicle for business purposes

-create a client agreement (contract for services explaining costs, etc.)

What else?

I loved going to craft stores and walking through the aisles, looking at all the supplies and options... but now I just feel disappointed. I feel disappointed not only by the prices, but the quality, and options being offered.

I already don't shop at Hobby Lobby because of their political and religious views and Joanns doesn't exist anymore. I feel like Michaels isn't even an arts and craft store anymore. Its just full of bad quality, overpriced junk at this point.

I know that there are second hand art supply stores and I do visit the one in my town whcih can be fun to explore for random supplies, but I miss having a go-to physical store with quality supplies that I could find for specific projects.

Anyone else feel the same?

I am looking for someone who has a few farm animals that I could visit for my birthday. I know there are petting zoos and Tilden Farm etc. but I am looking for something low key.

Uhm.. how do you come back from that? I know she says that they have forgiven her but does Noor even know that Chantal told the internet this? Any conservative, muslim woman would never speak to someome who made such allegations about them. If Noor knew, I doubt she would "forgive" Chantal for saying that regardless of if it were true or not.

You have to understand that a woman's honor (sexuality) is tightly veiled and protected in Islam and middle eastern cultures. So, making those remarks can lead to very serious consequences for Noor

I built a simple monitor riser (should have just but one, but I want a really tall one). It is uneven... is there anything I can use to level out the legs because it is wobbling and cutting the wood is not an option.

My buddy goes through phases of eating and not eating. He has not been eating his wet food for 2 days, but does have access to his kibble at all times and will eat his medication mixed with a Churu liquid treat.

We suspect diabetes on top of the CKD and have a tech. appointment scheduled for Thursday to get him tested. He was last tested for diabetes in Oct. 2025 but he was negative.

He has been on and off mirtezapan (or however you spell it) for his appetite. It usually helps, but I kind of want to avoid giving it to him right now because last time his ears turned super red even when alternating.

I have loved making cards since I was a child. I never had many fancy materials/tools and I still don't.

Given the wave of AI art and mass produced products out there, I thought that I could try to provide consumers with something a bit more refreshing: handmade cards.

I have ideas for card designs that would take lots of fussy cutting and hours to put together, but I am wondering how to realistically make it worth my time to do this as a business model. No, I am not trying to make millions and I want to be realistic about potential earnings.

Is it worth it to produce 5 hand made cards, which would take hours to make and then try to sell them $10-$15 a piece? I honestly wouldn't make any profit.. but I think I have good ideas that I would like to share with the world. If I priced the cards higher, no one would actually buy them.. what do I do?

Okay, hear me out. I LOVE animals. I have 2 cats and would love to have a dog but they are a really big responsibility and I can't afford another pet.

I am wondering if anyone in Concord, or the surrounding area, would be willing to let me take there dog out for a day? Your dog can have some fun and be spoiled and I can pretend to be a dog owner (temporarily)! I am NOT a professional nor am I asking to be compensated. I just really want to hang out with a dog and maybe take them to the beach or something.

If you love your fur baby, I know it is asking a lot to trust a stranger to take your dog from you, but I am open to meeting up with you and giving you my number so that you can ask my any questions.

Of course, if you allowed me to take your dog for the day, I would send photographs of our adventures and give you updates. I also would ask you if your doggy can have treats/food before actually feeding them something.

Yes, I know that some shelters and rescue organizations have these sort of programs, but to be honest I am not looking to sit on a waitlist and go through an application/interview process.

I am a paralegal in CA and I have always thought that I would pursue court reporting if I had enough money to go to school.

I currently make $40-50k as a paralegal and it sucks ass. I don't think I could commit to intense schooling and I am still trying to pay off my undergraduate loans (should be done by end of 2026). If I went back to school it would be while I work full time and through loans.

Give me the honest brutal truth. Am I not cut out for pursuing this career? My only reasons to do it would be (1) its a cool skill to learn and (2) money.

How do you deal with feeling burnt out and also knowing that you literally cannot afford a vacation.

My husband and I were planning on going on vacation this year, but we literally cannot afford it. It sucks to both work full time and also not be able to catch a break from bills.

I doubt that the managing partner gives two shits and I am not a senior paralegal by any means, but I like to bring the fun spirit to the office.

EDIT: I just want to make clear that I am doing this out of my own pocket... on an hourly wage, so.. funds are limited. Catering and inviting the whole office is not possible. I even make less than the other paralegals so.... I just wanted to do something nice and small.
