A princess among the mages
I made this drawing based on a fanfic I hope to write where Sofia from Sofia the first finds herself in NRC. This drawing isn’t the best, but I had fun making it!

Yesterday, I saw the show for the 3rd time. This time, I decided to bring m emotional support plushie, Mara, with me! I even made her, her own mask!
At carnival scene, I was able to feed the young phantom and he notice Mara. I show him Mara to which he showed me the monkey on his music box.
We played with them for 10 seconds before he gave me this crumbled up note and gave Mara a little necklace!
when they “revealed the freak” he reached out for my hand which I took and I played along. Saying thats he’s not a monster.
Last night was a good show! I can’t wait to go back! ☺️
I’m trying to make space in my room by selling/donating/throwing away things I don‘t use anymore. While going through my toy pile, I found these two.
I don’t know exactly want to do with them. On one hand I have fun with these toys as a kid when playing “Subcon revolution” (a game I made up where me and hat kid tried to overthrow Vanessa before Snatcher noticed) but on the other hand, I don't think I’ll play with them again.
Any ideas on what to do with them? And yes, they are official plushies made my The Yetee
I've been a fan of Twisted Wonderland even before the English version of the game came out. I was so excited to finally watch the anime when it came out. The anime came out while I was in boarding high school, and since Disney+ won't work on my laptop, I had to use the dorm TV to watch it.
Now let me tell you about Scarlet (not her real name). Scarlet was a 13-year-old girl who loves to talk and ask questions. She was a huge fan of KPDH. Like, such a big fan, she watched it once every day. When I finally found time one Saturday to sit down and watch the anime, I was starting up the first episode when Scarlet came into the community space and asked if she could have the remote to watch KPDH.
Now, around this time, I was admittedly a pushover. So I tried to make a deal with her that she could have the TV when I was done, but Scarlet kept saying that she had to make it to lunch in time and that I could watch this show later. It took one of my friends coming out and telling Scarlet that she uses the TV all the time and that she needed to let others have a turn for her to finally agree to my deal, but on the agreement that she'd watch the anime with me so that she could get right into the movie after
I started up the show again, and Scarlet started asking me about the anime. I had to keep pausing the show to explain to her what was happening because she didn't just want to watch the show to see what would happen. When she realized a "hot boy Ursala" (azul) was in the show. She immediately fell in love with the show, and the next day she asked if we could watch the next episode.
I told Scarlet that new episodes come out every Wednesday, to which she started pulling me out of whatever I was doing to make me watch the anime with her so she could have someone to watch it with. Having to watch the anime with someone I didn't really like, pausing every few minutes to answer her questions, and her squeeling when ever azul came on screen drove me to lose interest in watching the show because I liked the show.
We got three episodes in before she got kicked out of school for stealing food. Now that she's gone, I can watch it of my own accord, but after what Scarlet did, I just can't bring myself to sit down and watch the anime. Season 2 is almost here; I want to see my favorite TWST character animated, but how can I get back into a show that's been ruined for me?
TLDR: I need to figure out a way to watch the anime again, since a girl made it feel more like a chore than something to enjoy.
Meet my new oc. She’s based off of Perry the Platypus. I’m still working on her so I can’t say much about her, but what I can say right now is that she’s not much of a talker. She’s not mute, but she only talks when she thinks it’s absolutely necessary.

On Friday, I'm going to be dressing up as A03. I have a fun idea of bringing a notebook to AnimeNYC and ask people who come up to me if they would like to write down the name of their favorite fanfictions in the notebook. (If they don't want to write anything down, they don't have to.)
I feel like this is okay to do, but I'm not 100% sure if it is. Is asking people to write down the name of their favorite fanfictions in a notebook okay? I don't want to break any rules by mistake.
I went to see Masquerade on August 4th, and even though I enjoyed most of the show, it was hard to be fully entertained because of how most of the audience members were behaving. A few things the audience members did were:
Being Slow: Many members were not moving fast to get through the rooms. When it came to having to move to the next room, I saw most people lagging behind because they wanted to get a better view of the sets. I get that the sets are pretty, but the show will continue even if not all of us are in the room, so please keep up with the pace so the majority can see the start of the next scene.
Singing for the characters: During the songs, I kept hearing people singing during songs. Sure, it wasn't extremely loud to the point of disturbing the actors, but when you're loud enough that I can hear you from 6 feet away, it can disturb the other audience members. You aren't the actors, and when a staff member asks you to stop, you stop. You don't continue and ruin the moment for the rest of the audience.
Talking loudly: Whenever a song was not playing, I could hear conversation happening among the audience. Listen, Janises, no one wants to hear about how your ex-husband didn't allow you to see the Broadway version of phandom ot the Opera when Raoul and Christine are making out. Just like the singing, it ruins the moment for the audience members.
I get wanting to have an unforgettable time, but when you prioritize your own experience of the show to the point of being disrespectful, you're ruining the moment for everyone else. Please, think of everyone when you go to the Masquerade.
I painted this sushi plate with Grim on it at Anime Expo last month and it finally arrived today! I think Grim was trying to help with the stove or oven and got a little burnt in the process. Won’t you share some of your food with him until he gets better?
Was getting something to snack on at my local Japanese snack shop and saw these drinks for sale!
I’m about to have my therapy session and my autistic brain went “Let’s play you favorite childhood game!” and I went…”Okay!” I hope my therapist won’t mind!
Back in January, I bought 5 custom-made wigs from a seller who has high reviews and seemed trustworthy. I bought the wigs for Anime Expo, which happened from July 2nd-5th, and for Anime NYC, which will happen on August 20th-30th. I told the seller that I needed them before July, and they assured me that they would be done with all of them before then!
Time goes by, and the seller reached out to me in late March about how the wigs should look. I didn't mind this since I thought that she was wrapping up other orders, so I told her what the wigs should look like. More time goes by, and when June rolls around, I ask her how the wigs are doing and if they are ready. She says, "I got 1 done and I'm working on another wig right now. But don't worry! They will all be done in two weeks!"
I was annoyed about this because even though I have never made a wig before, I don't think you can get 3 and a half custom-made wigs done and shipped out in less than a month. And my thoughts were right, because July came and she didn't even finish the 2nd wig.
With August now approaching, and her having completed 2 wigs as well as being 1/3 done with the 3rd wig. I have given up hope on getting these wigs done in time for any of these conventions. If I had not told her the deadline, this would be my fault, but I told her multiple times when the deadline was.
I am mad and want some form of compensation, but these aren't mass-produced items; they are one of a kind, and she's still in the process of making the wigs. I don't think I can ask for a refund or cancel the order, but is there anything I can do?
I know a woman who really loves Lisa Frank and coin banks! She has almost all the Lisa Frank coin banks, and right now, she's looking for this bank. I've tried to find this bank as well, but I haven't seen it anywhere. I'm starting to wonder if this bank even exists. Does it exist?
I didn’t play with Barbie’s growing up because when I was a kid, all Barbie’s looked like the same to me which I found boring.
Now I’m 18 and today I found a Barbie that looks exactly like me! Blonde, greenish eyes, only wears flat shoe, loves pin, is on the shorter side, and isn‘t smiling (I can’t smile on command).
I’m so happy to finally see myself in a Barbie!
I'm a big book lover and learned about this event a month ago. I heard online that this year's Bookcon was not good, poorly managed, and people said they felt like they wasted their money going. However, I heard those negative opinions mostly from people who don't live in NYC and had to pay for transportation and hotels. However, I live in NYC and am only a 20-minute drive away from the Javits Center, so I wouldn't have to worry about transportation and hotel costs. Should I go, or is it so bad that it's not worth it?
I heard about this game series on tumblr and decided to check it out for myself! Time to fall into a new rabbit hole!
Last night, I went to the show and had an amazing time! After the show, I deiced to checked out the gift shop and here is everything I got! A magic mug! The vinyl record, a tote bag, a hat, a waxing seal, Stationary, Pins, and a poster! I can’t wait to go back and see it again!
I’m going to see the show tonight and I’m going to be bringing my emotional support plushie Mara with me! she’s has her dress and her mask ready for tonight!
When I was 11 years old, I discovered this video game series called Mr. Hopp's Playhouse. Since I was young, I started to believe that the monsters from that series were real and were going to come for me. I thought it was like my other fears of monsters where it would go away over time, but I'm now 18 and it has just gotten worse.
I can't sleep without all the lights on, I swear I keep hearing that scary music box, I think I keep seeing movements out of the corner of my eye, I jump at the slightest of sound, and I keep having nightmares about the characters from the game (for those who don't know the game, the character you play as will have nightmares of the monsters before the monsters go after them).
I keep telling myself that Mr. Hopp and his friends aren't real so I have nothing to worry about, but I have been wrong so many times. That plus me having level 1 autism, I can't help but worry that I'm wrong about the monsters not being real as well as well.
I wanted to be done of being scared of this game series a long time ago, but I stay up late every night because of how scared I am. I don't want this bad sleep schedule to continue when I eventually get a job. Is there any way to finally get over this fear?
I went to anime expo a few weeks ago and cosplayed as Maleanor on day 1! There was a cosplay meetup on day 1 as well that I went to. It was really cool and I got to meet Deuce’s voice actor who was also there! My favorite photo taken of me is the photo shown above where I pretended to be dead. I had a lot of fun at the cosplay meetup!
