People prefer propaganda over facts

Btw most British soldiers were South Asian Muslims.

I think IVC was a vast united empire from Punjab to Gujarat, and I think we don't see much evidence of war is because it was united for so long that It didn't need to fight a lot of wars (similar to Roman Empire during Pax Romana).

There can't be another Michael Jackson, because three media corporations control the music industry

There's a hidden thing because forget when declaring a new artist "new MJ". MJ was very independent person who had to fight for independence constantly. Most artist (even that is often hailed by media as next MJ) are all puppets of those record labels and media companies. Most of their songs are written by someone else and their image is controlled by the company.

When DCEU first came out, there was a growing "DC fanboy" community. I just realized they were just basically Snydercult, before DCEU started to branch out from Snyder's vision.

Does anyone remember 2017 with the sudden rise of "DC fanboys" after BvS came out? Lemme explain.

In the past, "DC/Marvel fanboys" were all about being fanboys of the comic books universe and lore. It wasn't about movies or cinematic universes.

Although X-Men, Spiderman, F4, Batman and Superman films existed before MCU and DCEU, there wasn't really a Marvel/DC cinematic fan community. Which is obvious: MCU and DCEU didn't exist yet.

But MCU is the franchise that I think changed everything and for the discussion of fandom: it created the idea of a "Marvel movie mainstream casual fans". They would suddenly be really into MCU and superhero movies. They might not know about the comics lore, but they pretty much watch all the movies. At this time, a Marvel fanboy would be someone who would "read the comic books as a kid and knows the true lore of it" while "movies often ruin it by not being accurate". I don't think there was "MCU fanboys".

However, the rise of MCU did cause a bitterness among DC fans, and I would see DC fanboys fight back at rise of MCU by saying "DC comics, games, tv shows, etc are better". But once DCEU came in; (especially after Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad), I started seeing a new group of people.

These would be self-proclaimed DC fanboys. But rather than the comics, they would defend the BvS and SS films (no pun intended) like a cult. Their whole identity was "DC dark - MCU sucks". They would talk about how "DC is dark, Marvel is light", and point to MoS, BvS and SS as examples. This is despite the fact that Superman, Flash and WW are all "light" in comics, and Marvel also has "Dark" like Daredevil, Punisher, Ghost Rider, etc. They would talk about how MCU is jokey all the time, while DC is actually matured and "Serious".

I've spent a lot of time arguing with them online. Basically they would say all the DCEU movies that came out were all fantastic, and all MCU films were bad. You point out Suicide Squad has jokes, and their counterargument is "well, it's supposed to be funny! the jokes are actually funny unlike MCU". So basically MCU films are either "not supposed to be funny" even though the comedies of Iron Man, Ant Man and Spiderman are what makes their characters shine, or "MCU isnt funny enough". You bring out DC shows like The Flash which are funny and "light". They argue back by saying "those shows are not real DC, they are just copying MCU". This is not even taking into account that one of the best Marvel show is one of the most realistic, grounded and R-rated - that is Daredevil. And then there's Deadpool too.

Then there's conspiracy theory by these people: MCU films are highly rated because "Disney is paying critics". Even thought Rotten Tomatoes has same parent company as DC. Let's not ignore the fact that score is a result of various people rating so Disney would have to pay a lotttt of people. Why is Iron Fist (MCU show) low rated? Well "Iron Fist is so bad that critics couldn't deny it". They would talk about how they love the lore of superman from the comics, but in reality it was just the MoS version. And yes the Snyder simping was there too.

Most of these people who were these "DC fanboys" were all grown ass man, and tbh many of them looked RW too. Which isn't surprising, given that we all see grifters nowadays.

When Gunn took over, it's pretty clear who these people were: they were Snyder cultist.

Instead of Ewoks, I wish Return of the Jedi had a human Vietcong-style guerilla force fighting alongside Luke and rebels.

Why don't showrunners get the same recognition/fame as film directors? They are basically the "film directors" of TV series in the sense that they hold the creative vision.
