for example, i think CW would definitely cast adult actors as the teenage characters and then put sexual tension just like the fox movies 😭 will definitely not be the peak of television and will be low-budget but it would be entertaining in a "so bad, it's good" way and would somehow reach up to heroes of olympus and trials of apollo

my parents had me in their late teens. they are now in their 40s. my father is a narcissistic and borderline abusive piece of shit. my mother is afraid to leave him due to fear that she would cause trouble, that she would inconvenience people, and that she would be a burden.
tonight my father was throwing a temper tantrum bc he was calling her name and trying to get her attention but she was busy in the call with her father. mind you, he just lost his wife so he was really lonely and he had no one to talk to. my father ended up destroying one of our plates out of anger and frustration. he then complained how his now-dead father cheated him out of the deal they had and how he doesn't have money now (he was stressing over how we're supposed to pay for my sister's cancer treatment)
i genuinely cannot take it anymore so i decided to pack my bags. while i was packing, my mother was discouraging me and telling me not to leave her alone and to help her. i don't want to leave her alone either but all of my attempts to encourage her to leave have been futile. for many years, i had been telling her to go back to her parents (who live in another province), but she didn't want to bc she thinks she'd just be a burden to them bc they don't have much money, they were sending her siblings to college a while back, they couldn't afford three more mouths to feed, she didn't want to be a burden to them etc.. she also says she can't move to another province bc she already got a nice paying job here as a teacher (she has lots of debt though and most of her salary goes to paying that). asked her why she didn't go to the police and she said she didn't want to cause trouble (ig since this is not her hometown?). asked her why she didn't go to DSWD and she said "how are they supposed to help me?" ??? we have hotlines for abused women and children AND we even have a nearby women's shelter (that's only a few minutes away from here). asked her why she didnt think of the long term effects of abuse on me and my sister (who developed depression and anxiety disorders) and said she didn't think of it (she only thinks short term)
im fully aware that i am also an adult and i could easily file the police report myself, but i am also scared. i guess i got that from her, but somehow... i am also more willing to take risks. i know she is fueled by fear but a part of me still can't understand how she can't take a leap of faith. other housing situations may not be the best and i dont have lots of options where i could live but anything is better than staying with that piece of shit. i know leaving is hard but i wish she would at least TRY. why can't she at least TRY? why didn't she see how my father's behavior affected me and my sister terribly?

case working against the show: GTA VI is the most anticipated game release of the year and SOTR has a stacked cast (ralph fiennes, elle fanning, maya hawke, kieran culkin, with cameos from jennifer lawrence and josh hutcherson). there is more hype for this movie compared to the previous spinoff, TBOSAS. people are speculating that the media and general audiences are gonna prioritize them instead of this show

im a longtime fan of the books and i entered the fandom in 2013/2014. i think early 2010's was when the fandom was at its largest. i think the movies increased awareness about the books despite being inaccurate -- rr publicly condemning them made people curious and bought the books instead. this was also the time social media sites started to gain widespread use, fandoms were being solidified online, and the YA genre was at its peak. by mid to late 2010s lots of people left and moved on to other fandoms. in the early 2020s there was a brief resurgence due to the show's announcement and the first season's release but after that people left again and moved on to other fandoms. while there's still a lot of people left, i get the sense that the remaining people are just a loud minority... i mean pjo fans have always been a loud minority on the internet but there's just much less people now, you know? hope im making sense

the "i would let olympus burn for you" line in s2, the dance scene teaser for s3. and the percabeth romance is being used as a selling point for s3. do you think it's possible they're gonna do the same with solangelo and include a will cameo? it's the second biggest ship after percabeth, after all.
