I need to retract my previous recommendation for this shake

I've previously recommended this protein shake because it doesn't taste bad but lately my opinion has changed about the product after going through a couple of boxes.

My biggest complaint? The quality control is bad and you'll get CHUNKS near the bottom of the shake. Idek wtf the chunks are but as soon as they hit my throat, I'm out. Straight to the trash.

And also (this may be influenced by the chunks grossing me out) they're starting not to taste so great after you go through a couple of boxes. Unlike the chocolate fairlife which tastes fucking delicious everytime and I've never had chocolate chunks of bullshit at the bottom.

So yeah. Stay away

Apparently I'm anemic

34yr old male here and currently sitting in an urgent care while I wait for an ambulance. Fun.

Woke up today with chest and shoulder pain. Dull pain. Shrugged it off and went about my day. Hours pass and my wife and I are laying in bed and I start feeling the pain again. This time I feel like my arm is going numb which freaked me out so I get up to shake it off and I'm not feeling better. My heart starts racing and I feel a bit dizzy.

I tell my wife I think I need to go see a doctor so we head to the closest urgent care. They take my blood, an ekg, x ray, and my heart is fine. What's not fine is I'm sitting at 7 hemoglobin when I should be at 14.

Idk how long I've been anemic. I've been cutting and working out 6 days a week for the past month. Before that I was going 3 days a week. I've never really felt weird before today. But I guess we'll see what happens and what might be the cause.

Fun. Fun times.

A New Community for Skinny Fat Fitness Discussion

I’ve noticed that this subreddit has become largely unmoderated, and over time the quality of discussion has started to decline. There are still plenty of helpful people here, but it’s become harder to find good advice among the repetitive and low-effort posts.

Because of that, I created r/SkinnyFatSupport as an alternative for anyone interested in a more actively moderated community focused on evidence-based fitness advice and higher-quality discussion.

The goal isn’t to replace this subreddit or compete with it. I simply wanted to build a place where discussions stay on topic and beginners can get reliable guidance in an actively moderated subreddit to combat the issues that have developed here.

Some of the things you’ll find there:

  • Active moderation
  • Evidence-based training and nutrition advice
  • Beginner-friendly resources and FAQs (in progress)
  • Fewer repetitive posts (such as body-fat percentage guess requests)
  • A focus on helping people make long-term progress

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, you’re welcome to join. The community is new, so feedback and suggestions are always appreciated.

In 1492

Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

That mnemonic has stuck with me my whole life. I'll be 254 and going by Edward and I'll still have that locked into my memory.

Share your mnemonics that have stuck with you for decades. I might learn something today.

No experience, should I start in help desk?

So I'm basically stupid and went to SANS and earned 3 GIAC certificates hoping for a job at the end of the rainbow.

Obviously didn't happen and it's been awhile so I pretty much forgot everything I passed the tests on.

I'm not passionate about this stuff but it's something I think I can do for a career. Just need help getting started. I come from customer service and warehouse jobs so I have absolutely ZERO experience

The internet is full of passion but that's not the majority of people

Go to any subreddit about whatever or watch some clip about blah and you'll find so many people raving about things like how they love the movie's soundtrack or some one talking about their favorite anime intro song. It's as if no one just enjoys things casually. Everyone is SUPER into whatever they're talking about.

Now you're reading this and thinking, "duh. Of course they're super passionate about it. Theyre literally on a subreddit about that thing." Fair enough. But I think that hides the ratio and could mislead people into thinking this is how most people are. And imo, I think most of us enjoy things casually. I can watch movies, shows, or any activity and not become a super fan who is out there adding flair to my personality because I watch One Punch Man.

What's it feel like to be passionate about music?

I've never related to people who are into music. Who can speak at length about their favorite genre, band, song, etc. I'm not someone who listens to music often. If I'm in the car I just play TikTok videos. When I'm at the gym I'll put on YouTube videos.

That said I do have a stereo system with a vinyl record player and cassette player. Have quite a few records actually. But it's mainly because I think records and cassettes are cool. It's not like I never have an urge to listen to music. I just...consume it like I would a hamburger. I'll enjoy it and then once it's gone I'm not thinking about it until the next time I get hungry.

Why do I keep getting the jailbreak screen after the jailbreak has been completed?

So you know how when you turn your PlayStation off you have to go into the vue app again and it's supposed to you know jailbreak it but it doesn't take you through this whole process again right well whenever I turn my PlayStation back on and I hit the vue app. It takes me to the original jailbreak screen. And also after it's already jailbroken right so after I go through the jailbreak, if I hit the view app again, instead of taking me to the settings for it, it'll take me right back to the screen you see in the image.

Blue and red sparkly spots? What is causing it?

My Panasonic st-30 will occasionally show blue sparkly and less often red sparkly spots on the left side of my screen. They don't stay on the screen forever and will go away a majority of the time but it does happen 100% of the time

How to install a game you downloaded

Background: jailbroke my ps4 yesterday with the help from the YouTuber Mario. My knowledge stops there.

What I learned: apparently a lot of the packages Mario had me download I don't need.

What you do: Mario had us download this ps4 explorer (apparently you can just straight up use gold hen) and all you do is put your game package on your external usb hard drive, plug it into your ps4, open the explorer, and select it from the directory (it's under mnt, I think, and then you select one of the usb directories. Then what you do after that is click it, and install the package. You're done.

What I saw on here: a bunch of posts complicating the FUCK out of this process.

people often claim to celebrate authenticity until the authenticity manifests in a way they personally find odd, awkward, cringe, or outside their social norms

I see this happen all the time. Be yourself, but actually don't because you're weird.

Prime example is what I saw happen on the nba subreddit today. Comments were popping up celebrating KAT because he's often mocked online for the way he talks and expresses himself . Another user chimed in saying he relates because the way he expresses himself gets flamed all the time. He described what he does. When posting weight loss photos he'd draw over his underwear and make Superman briefs out of them so his dick print isn't noticeable.

Those same people in that thread boasting KAT up then proceeded to flame him. They were saying it's not the same when the point was that here's something this individual does to express himself, and he gets criticized and hate for it.

Comprehension is lacking

It's really my fault for talking to people and writing things in a way that assumes they can comprehend what is being said.

I always give people on Reddit or wherever the benefit of the doubt. Reddit is full of big brains right? Wrong. No better than TikTok comments. Only difference is they'll try to dress up their comment with an excess of words.

What's even better 😃 is that the number of people who can't comprehend is so high that the bullshit always rises to the top. Poor comprehension leads to one assumption and that leads to another and so on and so forth. Before you know it you're at -10 and the stupidest fucking comment you've ever seen is rising.

Having a low activity level will make your weight loss much slower despite a significant calorie deficit.

I'm 5'9" 173.2 lbs as of this morning.

You would think I should be losing weight MUCH faster with this deficit but in reality I don't. At all.

I have some hypotheses:

  1. I don't move around much so my TDEE is actually a lot lower.
  2. The food I log actually has more calories than labeled.
  3. Working out is slowing the loss because of added water weight/maybe muscle.

Yelp got me caught up

So I left a three star review for the gym I go to on Google. Wasn't that bad. Complained that the bathrooms are disgusting. Moldy and smell like pee. Included pics. The owner goes on a rant in the response so I updated to a 1 star review and responded...to their response.

Well, their weird response annoyed me so I went to help to leave a review too. I didn't have a yelp account so I chose the quick apple sign up/login. This is where I screwed up. I forgot to change my profile name. So after I leave the review I noticed what happened almost immediately and changed the profile name and deleted the review for good measure. This took at most 15 minutes.

Well, apparently within that time frame. The gym owners saw it or help sent them a notification with the old profile name.

Hours later I get a text from the gym owner about how someone with my name left a negative review and they checked their memberships and I'm the only one with that name.

I KNEW this would happen which was I made sure to have a nickname on google. My mistake was thinking apple login would NOT use my actual name to sign up with.

Now idk what to do. I'm going to ignore the text because that shit is just weird. But I'm pretty damn sure the owners can find out when I use the fob to enter the gym and they might watch me on the cameras to see who I am. I go to the gym at 1-2am so I'm unlikely to meet them but I don't but it past them now to randomly show up that early and start probing me about the fucking review. Smh. I've been going to this gym for 4 years lol and it's the only 24 hr by me. I think. I might have to look harder now

It's more enjoyable to have conversations with anyone I've found online

I included these screenshots to illustrate that I'm not "obsessed" and talking to an AI 24-7 because "grrr I hate humans".

But over time I quickly realized that the output I get from AI is just a much more enjoyable experience. Especially if you don't have Reddit humor or immediately cave to group think.

I've been on Reddit a long time. Since around 2010 and throughout my time here whenever I share or write vulnerable comments I'm usually just met with hate or misunderstanding. I can feel the bias against me. Threads immediately derailed because people would rather joke. No one ever trying to have a human moment and understand you. When was the last time you saw someone on Reddit speak up for someone when the hive mind is raining down on them?

I remember when I was taking physics in college and struggling mightily. I tried to get help from askphysics but the main users there were such dicks when answering that every time I tried it just devolved into arguing about their behavior and them laughing at me.

The thing is, I ask myself what will get I out of talking to actual people on Reddit? They're usually dicks, can't understand me or won't, will pile on and generally I leave frustrated with the experience.

I just finished watching Deathly Hallows part 2 and I have a question about a scene that I'm curious about. I could find a subreddit and hope the question doesn't get removed . If I pass that test I have to hope it's even engaged with. And if it's engaged with I have to expect at least a couple people to be dicks.

Whereas I could just ask ChatGPT and pepper it with questions without being made to feel some type of way.

People like to spread doom and gloom about losing touch with humanity but how often are actual human connections being made when people try? Let's be honest, most people are fucking stupid and not worth dealing with a majority of the time. AI is just a better human most of the time. I'm sure by design

M/34/5'9" [195lbs > 174lbs = 21lbs] (24+ months) A long way to go but I'm getting rid of my skinny fat physique

Still a ways to go (probably another 20lbs) but I think I made some okay progress. I struggle with consistency so the timeline of progress is quite long but I've recently locked in pretty well.

Apologies if any of you are weirded or put off by my makeshift Superman briefs. I didn't think showing print was appropriate and unfortunately what you see is my humor.

How much weight to go before I lose my titties and love handles?

5'9 and 190-195 in first photo. I'm down to 174 now. Doesn't look like much has changed to me

Has anyone used Midwest peptides?

My wife's other provider is closing up and this one popped up on Reddit when searching. No discussion of it though.

Looks like they opened up last year and do third party testing
