The special edition of Air Force One is a rotter

I believe it's widely known but I'm here to confirm yet again, it's a rotter. It's honestly not too distracting. I'd call it light. I was able to watch the whole movie without it driving me crazy.

My disc also must be warped because I get some crosstalk half way into side 1 and 2 (I swear every disc I've purchased from goodwill has been warped even when it looks okay to my naked eye).

The CAV disc has rot too but it's light

Anybody develop a better way to fix warped discs than waiting years for weight to fix the problem?

Not going to lie, setting heavy ass weight on top of a laserdisc and waiting hasn't been working for me. Maybe the people who swear by it had barely warped discs but the disc I have doesn't give a fuck about weight and time.

Also, who the hell is trying to wait weeks, months, or years to fix one disc? I'm trying to unfuck the disc because I want to watch it soon, ya know? Not wait until I die to watch Sleepless in Seattle.

It's been long enough. We need a better method.

That dude went from 237 to 166 in 100 days? This is 5'9 at 175

Something's off about that post. To be able to lose that much weight and build so much muscle that he's lean at 166. I started around 190 and have at least 20-40 more lbs to approach their level of leanness and I definitely won't have that much muscle.

I work at around 3 days a week right now and eat at 1500 calories and have been for a while.

Who to stay away from on LDDB

LDDB is a nice spot to get information on laserdiscs and players. But after spending a long ass time reading through threads I've noticed users who have been there for a long time that are consistently straight condescending douchebags who might offer some okay advice but you're better off blocking them. However the block on this website is the stupid type of block where they can still see and interact with your posts but it's better than nothing.

SignofZeta: they have a Gundam profile pic and make themselves known in every thread being one of the biggest self-righteous bastards I've seen. I've ran into numerous threads where they're getting blasted for behaving like a dick and yet they're still around.

Admin: "Julien". Pretty sure the admin and SignofZeta are buddies. I think SignofZeta acts like his aggressive translator so he can maintain a cleaner image. It's like that Key and Peele sketch where Obama has that translator. It's easy to figure out since these two are consistently liking each other's posts and I don't know why you'd keep a user around who consistently tries to drive people away from the hobby.

I'm getting bored now so the following are basically clones of SignofZeta:

Rein-O

Ldfan

Ld974

Unfortunately you can't block the admin but for everyone else you're good to go. Cool site but a lot of shitty old men around who've never been punched in the face.

Caveats being no extra video processing from a device like a retrotink or the other expensive ones. Just an image from your player to your tv with nothing in between.

I haven’t really seen good examples showing what laserdisc looks like. It’s helpful to know so we can gauge if our players or discs are out of whack. Specifically noise, weird chroma stuff, etc. Will a late 80s player show more? Is image quality relatively the same throughout most players?

Seeing examples from different models across the years would be helpful. Because I honestly don’t know if what I’m seeing on my screen is what i should be seeing. Im in the laserdisc game late. I have no idea what it should look like. And from my own experience of capturing still images off my phone, images look better than reality.
