Nugs shows on SXM?

Did I hear Nolan right? Shows from nugs will air on SXM at 8pm the night after the show?

When did apple start replacing batteries and not the whole watch (AppleCare)?

I sent my daughter’s Apple Watch SE (first gen) in for a battery replacement as it got the dreaded “service needed” message. With this model six years old, I told her we’d most likely get a newer model back (probably the SE 2).

Consider me surprised that we got back the same watch with a note that battery had been replaced.

When did they start doing that vs sending out refurbished models instead?

STOCK IS GETTING HAMMERED TODAY

Thanks Srini! The Germans are rubbing their hands with anticipation of buying up this hot mess of a company on the cheap.

Calendar: how did I get to this view? (Reminders)

Calendar is my most used app. I thought I knew every thing about it until somehow I “pocket dialed” this screen that shows tomorrows reminders ? How did I get to it? How do I go back?

Volta stream megathread

Figured I’d start one. Is the audio out of sync for anyone else? Watching on Apple TV.

Fob too big!

After 2 months with my Camry, I've concluded that the fob is too freaking big. It's about the size of my AirPods Pro, which I used to keep in the same pocket as my keys.

It's about twice as thick of my wife's Honda fob.

Are there 3rd-party fobs? Is that a thing? This thing is obnoxious.

New Camry already keyed

EDIT 2: y’all have made me remember what happened now. I was parking in a spot right up against some bushes and I pulled in a little too far (still learning the cars dimensions) and must have scraped the front against the branches. Could that have caused this!?

Regardless still looking for recos on next steps.

ORIGINAL: I bought a brand new 2026 XLE in reservoir blue about two months ago. A few weeks ago after leaving the gym, I noticed what looks like keyed marks on the front bumper.

I had parked in the back of the parking lot away from anyone else. I don’t know who I pissed off or why. I’m fine if acts of God damage my car but acts of gym bro bro are infuriating.

This is driving me nuts and I die a little inside every time I see it. Sometimes I deliberately walk behind the car instead of in front so I don’t have to see it.

I swung by a independent body shop yesterday to see what they could do. He said for $1000 he could repaint that front piece. Or for 250 he could buff out the scratches which he said it should make it about 60% less noticeable.

I have a touchup paint pen, but have never really trusted myself to use those where it looks good.

My hope is the bumper issue with this model eventually affects me and I get it replaced.

But in the meantime, what would you do?

EDIT YALL ARE BLOWING ME UP SAYING IT WASNT KEYED. IM JUST GOING BY WHAT THE BODY SHOP GUY SAID. REGARDLESS WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO REPAIR THIS?

Right hip arthroscopy for FAI/labral fraying — are these recovery timelines realistic?

After 2 years of PT, a steroid injection, and PRP, it looks like I may be out of runway.

I posted here back in December after PRP, and it did help for a while. But by early April it seemed to wear off, and now I’m basically back to where I was before, maybe worse.

I saw my doctor today, and while he said he’s happy to keep doing PRP every 4–6 months at $400 a pop, he also made it pretty clear we’re now at the “we’ve tried the conservative stuff” stage.

His explanation was that the top of my femoral head is pinching/fraying the labrum. His exact analogy was: “You literally have a square peg in a round hole.” I also have a capsule tear on the posterior side.

His surgery summary was basically:

  • outpatient hip arthroscopy, about 1 hour, 2 incisions
  • if he has to repair/anchor the labrum: crutches 2–3 weeks
  • if he only has to trim/debride it: crutches maybe 3–4 days
  • PT 2x/week for 3 months

He also said most people go back to work after about a week, especially if they work from home.

The one thing that made me pause: he said most patients can drive after 3–4 days as long as they’re off pain meds. But this is my right hip, so that sounds... optimistic at best. I’m assuming he either misspoke or was thinking left side, because I can’t imagine safely panic-braking 3 days after right hip surgery. For those of you who had your right hip done, how realistic was driving in the first couple of weeks?

One other complication: I’m on a GLP-1, and he said I’d need to stop it 2 weeks before surgery and wait 1 week after to restart. Since I’ve been on the highest dose for about 1.5 years, that would likely mean starting the titration process all over again, which is a whole separate annoyance.

At this point I’m thinking second half of the summer if I do it.

For people who’ve had this surgery:

  • did these timelines mostly match your experience?
  • how long were you really on crutches?
  • when could you actually drive, especially with the right hip?
  • how rough was the first month?
  • was it worth it?

What questions should I ask when his scheduler calls me next week? Sleep? Brace?

Exactly 3 weeks ago, I picked up a new 2026 Camry Hybrid. I’ve been "park at the back of the lot" guy ever since, but just driving around Plano has been a nightmare.

Current Damage Tally After 3 Weeks:

  • Bumper: One nasty scratch.
  • Hood: One deep scratch that looks like stretch marks and a separate paint chip.
  • Windshield: Two pin-hole-sized chips.

My Type A OCD is officially hitting a breaking point. I realized no car stays perfect forever, but I didn't think I’d be looking at repairs and protective film 21 days into ownership!

Can anyone recommend a local body shop in or near Plano (75075 area) that can affordably fix these issues and then apply a real PPF on top?

I’ve been spinning Crash and BTCS all week for the anniversaries, and it still kind of blows my mind how Tim basically disappeared from the studio right after that peak.

He was a core piece of those first three records, each in a different way. Then he’s not on the Lillywhite sessions (maybe he would’ve come in later?), not on Everyday—which was the big “Dave goes electric” album, and somehow the one guy in their orbit who does that better than anyone isn’t involved—then absent again on Busted Stuff and Stand Up. Basically gone until Big Whiskey in 2009.

What makes it weirder is that he wasn’t actually gone. There were Dave and Time shows, he was on Some Devil, he was part of the Dave & Friends tour—so it doesn’t seem like there was any kind of falling out with Dave...but maybe with the rest of the band?

Part of me wonders if, post-BTCS, he wanted a more official role, and the rest of the band wasn't ready to go there yet. Then, after Roi died, the whole dynamic changed...he came back to the fold and hasn't left since.

Curious if anyone else has thought about this or has any insight. I've been a fan since 1994, but the thought never crossed my mind until now...

Maybe he just had to go back to his home planet for a bit to take care of some business instead.

Anyone sent a Braun series 9 in for out of warranty service? Curious how much it will cost. Especially since I’m paying for shipping.

I got an Arc 5 after my Braun failed two weeks ago but so far have not been impressed.

I work for a Fortune 500 company with a very strict InfoSec setup—YubiKeys, passkeys, and a locked-down company app store. Years ago, I managed to "sideload" Pocket Casts by installing it in my Documents folder rather than the Applications folder, which has worked fine until recently.

I’ve noticed a weird pattern with what will and won’t stream over the corporate network, whether I am in the office or on VPN at home. Relay.FM show have never been able to play. Starting this week, SmartLess and Conan from the SXM Network as well as Pivot have stopped working entirely. Meanwhile, independent pods like ATP, The Talk Show and a few others still stream perfectly....for now.

I initially thought it was a Pocket Casts glitch, so I tested them in the native Apple Podcasts app. The same shows are blocked there as well, which confirms it isn't the player.

I'm curious if corporate IT is actually able to block specific podcast networks or hosting providers while leaving others open. Is this likely a blanket category block on certain CDNs or ad-servers that these bigger networks use?

I'd love to know if anyone else has seen this specific selective blocking at their company.

In the meantime I'll get back to work.

I picked up a 2026 XLE in Reservoir Blue two weeks ago. Within the first week, the bumper picked up a deep scratch.

Then yesterday, on its first longer highway drive, a small pebble hit the hood, chipped the paint, and continued into the windshield, where it created pinhead sized chips. Luckily it didnt crack.

Is this just a run of bad luck, or is the exterior unusually fragile? I can handle touch-up paint for the bumper and hood, but what’s the right way to repair the windshield?
