Advice on first step to take? Functional medicine/fertility doctor/etc?

Advice on what to do first regarding a fertility doctor, functional medicine, etc.?

Background: We have been TTC for a while and have been unsuccessful. I have PMOS as well.

We made several changes starting a year ago, including:
me: taking prenatals, DHA/BHA, & coq10 daily; Therologix ovasitol powder; anti-inflammatory diet; tracking BBT daily with NC app; I also track with LH strips (I use fertility friend and natural cycles’ paid subscriptions)
him: taking coq10 & zinc daily; strength training; anti-inflammatory diet
In luteal phase: pomegranate juice, coconut milk

Things we can work on that maybe aren’t the best:
stress management
Hydration/elexrrolyres

Things we will try this cycle (just started CD1 again today):
Pressed lube
Mucinex
Vitamin C supplements

We both are on poor health insurances. I am on Medicare currently, as I’m unemployed (full time graduate student).

I would like to go to the doctor (OBGYN or functional medicine) to get labs and a work up done (& preferably on him as well), but don’t know where to start. Where should I start that we could afford? And what should I test for?

Ideas of things to test for:
Low progesterone
Mthr
ureaplasma
Prolactin levels
Endometriosis
Ambulatory infertility
Sperm morphology/motility
Any other ideas?

We are located in Houston, TX. I would like to optimize our chances because I feel like we are running out of time, unfortunately. What do y’all recommend?

NC put my cover line in a different spot than FF. How do y’all track more accurately? This is purely for educational purposes!

Background: I’m in my 3rd TTC cycle and currently 9 DPO (according to NC) or 11 DPO (according to FF). (Absolutely no symptoms at all & still BFNs on Wondfo as of this afternoon) I believe Aunt Flo should come tomorrow (CD34) or the next day if I’m not preg…and that’s the length of my usual cycle. I did not start temp tracking (using the NC band) until CD13.

The question: how did you guys truly pinpoint your ovulation day? As you can see, NC app and FF app choose the ovulation differently based on the OPKs, cover lines for temps, EWCM, etc. It is difficult to know when to truly do the deed in optimal timing because of this, especially since my NC & FF had both estimated CD21 or CD22 at first. Any suggestions or stories?

NC put my cover line in a different spot than FF. Which ovulation date looks more accurate?

I posted here recently, but I’m in my 3rd TTC cycle and currently 9 DPO (according to NC) or 11 DPO (according to FF). Absolutely no symptoms at all. And still BFNs on Wondfo as of this afternoon.

What do you think regarding my ovulation day? Based on the OPKs, cover lines from both apps, EWCM on CD20? Im mainly worried that I did not baby dance during the optimal window if I was mis-gauging my ovulation day. NC & FF had both estimated CD21 or CD22 at first.

Nervous! Thoughts?

In my 3rd TTC cycle. Aunt Flo should come CD34 if I’m not preg…and that’s the length of my usual cycle. I didn’t start temp tracking (using the NC band) until CD12. So I’m assuming that’s why it hasn’t confirmed my ovulation day. I am so nervous & been getting BFNs yesterday (9 DPO) and today (10 DPO). Any thoughts?

Analyze my chart!

Started tracking BBT for the first time this cycle but I’m not sure if I even ovulate. I’m new to fertility friend & BBT & all of the tracking…been TTC for serveral months. Anyone have feedback or interpretations or thoughts? Or can help me better understand what this means for me?

Current dosimetry student needing new clinical site

I have a friend in his 3rd semester of my medical dosimetry program, and his clinical internship unexpectedly fell through at the last minute.

He is located in Houston and has worked as a radiation therapist for 15 years. He only needs a clinical site where he can complete his remaining competencies and observation requirements to finish our program.

We’ve explored several options, and none of which are possible without connections he doesn’t have. If anyone knows of a radiation oncology department that may be willing to host a dosimetry student (preferably in the Houston TX area), I would greatly appreciate any leads. Thank you!!

Any success stories after brown spotting? ❤️

About me: 24F, unknown DPO because I didn’t track this cycle! But my cycles are ~31-32 days and I’m at day 36 currently

My question: I’m curious if spotting has been indicative of anything positive for you guys!

More about this cycle for me:
CD21: I allegedly ovulated (according to Flo)
CD23: EWCM
CD26-30: Intense pressure/pulling cramping feeling on my right abdomen; slightly to the right of my belly button, all the way down to my urethra almost, & got worse when I had to pee (it was more of an uncomfortable twinging than it was painful) (BFN each day too)
CD33: started getting uterus/back cramps; BFN
CD34: BFN
CD35: I started the faintest light brown spotting (like rust colored CM, only when I wipe); I got a VVFL on FRER!!
CD36: the spotting picked up just a tiny bit more today, but still no period; FRER was negative, makes me think yesterday’s was an indent.

I am just curious if anyone wanted to share that this worked for them. I have never seen someone say they’re late for their period, start spotting, then get a BFN. Any success stories?
