Should tourism spots in Kerala have ticketed entry with a small fees? Or online reservations for popular crowded spots?

my brother went to Varkala and he said it was like a market with no place to even walk. This kills the overall vibe and causes sudden inflation of prices of food, stay and other things, Also huge crowds mean lots of litter compared to smaller crowds. then like Goa sudden collaps of tourism. instead if we have a ticketed entry with a small fees for the employees salary. or an online reservation ot would lead to sustainable tourism without overcrowding. I live in the US and there are certain spots where entry is limited based on reservations and has a small fee for entrance

Shelving Kerala high speed rail was a stupid decision

Kerala is one place where vande bharath runs full capacity . People are ready to pay higher prices for higher speed.

plus kerala is one big urban area. And for its development, the HSR could act like a metro for the whole state . But for whatever reasons given by the state and the center, the project is shelved. it could have brought about new economic activity along the rail line. Wasted opportunity.

How much has it costed us by not consuming meat or proteins?

so we are a protein deficient nation. How much of our physiology has been affected by generations of just eating carbs and fats. How much of it has affected the sports we play

Why Mukesh was never seen as star on par with say Jayaram or Dileep?

Some of my favorite movies in the 90s were RamjiRao speaking, mannar mathayi speaking, Godfather, In harihar nagar , Mookilla Rajyathu etc. Though it was ensemble cast, he was the main character or leader in these movies. what happened in the 2000s

Does sugarfree desserts cause intense flatulence and Loose stools?

I have huge sugar cravings especially when I get stressed. I try a lot to control it but just can’t. I am pre diabetic and obese . I have been trying to completely reduce carbs and sugars in my diet . Not keto exactly because I take cheat days.

Yesterday , I baked Duncan Hines sugar free fudge brownie . It tastes pretty good and I actually ate a lot. Man oh Man I regret it. Today I have been farting so much , that probably I could fill up my car gas tank and drive till Alaska. The farts are so long that it vibrates my butt hole in some resonant frequency. Is there any alternative to sugar alcohol? Gotta go again , bye.

So there was discussion of bringing some to Kerala. What happened to that? I don’t see any news regarding that recently? I tried posting it in the Kerala subreddit , but it gets deleted by the mods.

We should have sports as some percentage in Academics

we should introduce 10% of total marks up till 10 standard for sports. Out of that 5% is divided into individual performance and remaining 5% should be combination of school, district, state performance.

This will incentivize parents , schools to focus on sports as well. What are you guys think and any suggestions on this?

Indian names and religious association

I am a Syro Malabar catholic from Kerala but grew up in Delhi. My name is very Indian sounding name and dads first name being my middle name and house name being surname Eg Deepak John Velyaveetil ( just an example ).

Always some BCs would come and ask hey why is your name, “Hindu” name if you are Christian . This was so annoying . Initially I used to say a lot and explain saying its an Indian name.

But this one time last week, I was pissed with a guy who was not ready to accept and said , christians should have ”Christian name“ , so I explained him like this.

I asked him : “ What does Deepak mean? “ He replied “ Lamp” ( eg ) I would say “ No , it means awesome, because I am Christian “ .

He : “ What are you talking . Deepak means lamp in any Indian language“ .

Me: “ BC, thats exactly I have been saying , it means lamp in Malayalam language too which for FS is an Indian language . It means same, irrespective of anyone’s religion “

Its also funny because a girl whose name was Tanya came and asked me the same once . Tanya though ubiquitous now, isn’t an Indian origin name. Its Russian .

just venting

We need to draft in baseball players and former mlb players to make cricket popular

So at present cricket is only popular among Americans mainly of South Asian descent. Thats mainly due to the parents having played cricket or exposure in their native countries. But as a mainstream I don’t see cricket flourishing in the US.

For eg soccer grew among all ethnicities back in the 2000s. So if it has to be popular at least at minor league levels they need to draft former mlb players and players who didn’t make the cut. Also students who play baseball
