I understand having her rely on the cards in the first series. It’s the main concept and magic system that the show is based around, it reflects Sakura’s newbie status as a mage, and it provides an easy magical progression timeline that follows the narrative. The transition from the Clow Cards to the Sakura Cards also represents Sakura’s growth as a person and mage. Plus, having her rely on the cards is a big thing for the conflict in the second movie.

I also understand redoing the cards with Clear Card since it’s now become so iconic and emblematic for the franchise, but do you guys think Sakura should be able to use SOME magic without the cards? Since it’s a sequel series, I think some new developments make sense, and they won’t disrupt anything with the original core series. I think the cards should still be the main focus of Sakura’s magic, but I feel like she should be able to cast force fields and energy blasts without the cards, even if they’re weaker than her card spells.

I went to a former T-14 that I think is more like top 16 or something right now, but I didn't do very well academically after not getting a 1L Big Law summer. I actually never wanted to do Big Law after law school, but I did want the Big Law summers because I heard they pay well without making you do any real work. I'm naturally a very lazy person with ADHD, so once that initial motivation kind of died out (plus the motivation stemming from my regret over being lazy in college), I started just coasting by with no real effort. I thought I wanted to do a certain type of law after law school, but after trying it in my first post-law school job, I HATED it. I actually got fired, but I was so happy to get fired because I wanted to leave anyways. I'm now doing administrative hearing stuff, and it pays about half of what I would be making in Big Law, but I do probably like 5% of the work, if even that. It's kind of a lame job, but I work fully from home and have a lot of free time and no stress while still making 6 figures, so it's pretty nice.

However, I often sit and wonder what my life would have looked like if I had done Big Law. Obviously, most of my classmates that I know are in Big Law, and sometimes I see their IG stories where they're in the office at 2 AM on a Saturday or have to even sleep in the office. It looks terrible, but I really do like money, and I have a lot of student debt, so I really feel like I should have just worked harder in law school and gone the Big Law route.

But also, whenever I start regretting my decisions and pondering upon this, I have to remind myself that I probably would have fucked up and gotten fired at some point. I don't work hard, I have a tendency to sneak out of the office early, I'm bad at sucking up, I have low stamina and a low social battery, I love saying no, and I'm very type B. I feel like I would not have lasted in Big Law, so that helps lessen the pain of regret, but I feel like I need to hear that from someone who's in Big Law and can actually speak to this.

I took the February one after not having studied much, and I thought it was fine, and I got a 269. Not great, but definitely something you can work with. Then I took the July one, and I was stumped. I finished with time to spare, but I still felt like I didn't know what the hell a lot of the questions were asking me, and I was doing a lot of guessing. I spoke to some other people that felt the same way, and I'm wondering if this was an abnormally hard exam?

So I know they're removing Conflict of Laws, Family Law, Trusts and Estates, and Secured Transactions, but is this a state by state discretion thing, or is it every state administering the MEE? Asking from Texas

Just scored a 48% on my latest Property question set. Should I just work on improving all of my other subjects and give up on Property? It's my worst by far, and it's the one where even reading the explanations confuses me

I just finished all 24 or so hours of Jonathan Grossman's lectures, and I started doing MCQs again, and I'm doing way better than I did before watching them. I also can tell that my brain feels more focused and intentional when picking answers, and I'm not falling for attractive wrong answers because I'm able to clock that they're not hitting the relevant issues or concepts.

Tbh I think the fact that he condenses everything into pretty short videos lets you remember and contextualize everything better, versus getting overly engrossed in one subject and forgetting material from the last subject.
