This is my first time retaking/2nd time taking it, so I'm not entirely sure what to do. I've just started doing UWorld, and I've been sitting around 50-60%, which I think is pretty good given that I haven't looked at or thought about any of this material since February?

Anyways, are you guys going back and doing Themis/Barbri prep courses with the videos and stuff? Should I do that? I feel like there are probably a lot of holes in my brain that watching those videos would fill in, but I also still have my books and flashcards, so....

Graduated from UT Law with my JD last year, didn't pass the Bar, and was laid off from my job a month and a half ago. I've been applying to stuff like crazy, but everything has been a dud. I know this is probably not going to be a fruitful attempt and is probably really annoying for the people who regularly are on this sub, but I thought I'd just post something here as a last ditch effort.

For reference, I have a BA in English in addition to my Juris Doctor, and I have a few years of experience working in law firms and nonprofits. I'm trying to pivot into more compliance-y stuff, but with respect to this post, I'm open to whatever. I just can't really do physical labor (I am very weak) and absolutely refuse to go back into retail/food service (I did a lot of that in undergrad, and I couldn't stand it).

I got laid off at the end of March from the private family law firm I was working at since graduating from a highly ranked law school, and I failed the Bar on my first try by 1 point (269 in a 270 jurisdiction) in April. Since then, I've been looking for jobs, but it's been bleak. The thing is, I don't even think I want to practice law, at least not in a client-facing manner at a firm. I'm still taking the Bar because a good amount of this knowledge is fresh-ish in my mind, so I'd rather just take it now while I have that advantage and not 5 years down the line when I decide I want to take it and have to start all over.

I've mostly been looking at like JD-advantage-ish jobs, but I'm finding these are excruciatingly hard to get. When I was bouncing between family law internships and clerkships throughout law school, it was really easy because my resume was chock-full of that stuff, but trying to find a compliance or analyst position is proving to be a pain in the ass.

Does anyone have any tips? I tried using that website this subreddit advertises, but I don't exactly want to pay up.

So the Stars arc of the manga keeps limiting things to the Milky Way galaxy, but I kind of find it hard to believe that Chaos, the manifestation of all evil and a seemingly nigh-omnipotent being, would stop at just the galaxy. Also, I'm supposed to believe the Galaxy Cauldron is this magical nexus for just our galaxy, and the rest of the universe was formed normally?

It kind of feels like Naoko was just tripping and for some reason thought galaxy = universe, but I know she's very well-educated and a bit of an astronomy nerd, so I find that extremely hard to believe. Does anyone know if there were just mistranslations or something?

I took the February Bar Exam and got a 269, so I'm retaking it this July. The thing is, I was hoping to just pay for UWorld and skip a Bar Review course, relying on the Barbri books I still have from February, but I'm very confused as to how I'm supposed to study for this thing now that they're changing the exam?

So I took the Bar in February, and I got a 269.1. I did better on the MEE, which means if I just did slightly better on the MBE, I would have passed. Funnily enough, I was thinking that I didn't drill enough multiple choice questions; the numbers I was seeing on here made me feel like I had done 5 questions lol.

So, my question is, should I even bother paying for a Bar review course again? Or should I just do AdaptiBar or UWorld (still not sure which one) and rely on the books I still have from February if I need refreshers?
