Eu zerei esse jogo pela primeira vez faz quase 5 anos, eu tinha 15 anos, e desde aquela época, foi um dos meus jogos favoritos de todos os tempos.

Mesmo sendo um dos meus jogos favoritos de todos os tempos, eu nunca joguei as DLCs (então sem spoilers por favor), porque deu umas merda no meu save antigo e demorei pra pegar pra jogar o jogo inteiro de novo, joguei pulando vários dialogos e etc (pois já tinha visto tudo e confesso que estava rushando pra ir pra DLC), mas todos os dialogos que via, todos os personagens são ultra carismáticos e únicos, muita comédia boba mas que da aquele aquecer no coração.

Não lembrava de várias coisas da história (lembrava do basico), e uma das coisas que eu não lembrava é quanto o final é bonitinho, quase chorei com essa porra vsf. Pra quem gosta de carismá e leveza e personagens únicos e engraçadinhos, esse jogo é uma obra prima.

I started to play the main game after 5 years since my first playthrough, just to be able to play the DLCs, since my old save file is not good. Everything has been great, but when I completed one of the Time Rifts, I received my prize, got back to the spaceship, walked for a little while, and pressed Alt+F4, since I thought the game would save after I got into the ship and I was going to take a break.

When I got back, the Time Rift was completed, but my prize isn't available. It just vanished, and I don't know if I can get it back.

I just started to look into JRPGs, and my favorite thing in games in general is the story, but I never really gave Dragon Quest a chance because I heard it was way less story-focused and more generic (like a more standard fantasy tale), and that's not a problem; it's isn't just the kind of thing I'm usually into (if it's a "generic" fantasy setting but there are differences in it and a really good story, I usually like that).

So, since opinions seemed really divided, I wanted to ask here. I'm looking for something to make me emotional.

Some of my favorites are: Mother 3, EarthBound, NieR, and OMORI.

I was thinking of trying DQ5, since apparently this one is the best story-wise

I'm thinking of trying my first Dragon Quest game, and I saw that V was the best one story-wise, but I really don't know which version to pick.

I thought of using a keyboard and mouse, but I really don't know exactly which controls are important for this game, so I'd like suggestions from people who have played it (I also have an Xbox controller)

I loved Mother 3, especially because of how kind, genuine, and innocent, yet devastating the story felt.>! Hinawa calling Claus in the final battle, chapter 6, or just Claus and Lucas playing with the Dragos at the start of chapter 1, how the whole vibe shines with charisma and heartwarmingness all around!<. I really liked those things, and I wish there were more games like that. They can even be older or obscure games; actually, that might be even more interesting to me since I'm looking for obscure stuff to find some hidden gems, but it can be newer and famous games to, it can also be for any console.

Some games I've played that had a similar vibe are OMORI and Rakuen (and maybe OneShot).

I really want something like that, with a deeply emotional story, great characters, and a charismatic world.

I was spoiled on another DS game I really wanted to play, one that had amazing twists and a great story (Ghost Trick), so I started looking for something else that could scratch that same itch.

I've always been a little interested in Professor Layton, but I never actually gave it a try. It looks really charming, and it reminds me a lot of one of my favorite shows, Over the Garden Wall.

I'm mainly looking for a game with a really engaging story and mind-blowing twists, but I'm not sure if Professor Layton is the right kind of game for that (I can't really play the mobile versions since my phone is terrible, so I would have to play the DS/3DS versions)

Usually, my favorite games are story-focused games, but this one was such a joy to play, with a lot of funny moments and charisma all around. I love how the levels aren't just "take these things, then go to the next one," and each one has its own little narrative with characters and etc. My favorites were:

Murder on the Owl Express
Picture Perfect
All of Chapter 3

And I was looking for something like this game for a long time, and now that I'm thinking about getting a Switch 2, and I always saw people saying the 3D Mario games were the best fit for A Hat in Time fans, I'm wondering which of these games looks the most like what I want:

Mario Odyssey
Mario Galaxy 1
Mario Galaxy 2
Donkey Kong Bananza (not a Mario game, but it seems really similar, and I'm interested in it)

I decided to play the DS version, but to not just watch the Switch bonus, I thought of downloading a save file right at the end of the main game, just to play the new days on the Switch.

I have already found some save files, but they are all 100%, which means that everything has already been done: characters are max level, max money, all items and etc. So if anyone could help me with that I would be really happy

I'm really looking forward to playing TWEWY and NEO, and I recently made a lot of posts asking stuff to decide which version I should use, but I couldn't decide since just sticking with one and leave everything of the other behind didn't really sound right to me. So I had the idea of completing the DS version and only playing the additional stuff on the Switch (probably on an emulator so I can use the save file).

I just made a post asking if I should buy the Final Mix, or just emulate the DS version, and since I'm more into story than gameplay, I was thinking of getting the Switch version because of the epilogue.

But I heard that the two screens on the DS are important to the narrative for some reason, so now I REALLY don't know what to do.

I'm thinking about getting a Nintendo Switch 2 (not just for this game), but I also know that the original version is on the Nintendo DS, so I'm indecisive about whether I should emulate it on my phone/pc or play the Switch version.

My English is not bad, but it isn't perfect either. I already played some smaller games completely in English, but I always have a hard time with games that have more complex vocabulary. So, one thing that I will probably do a lot in this game is pause and look up the translation of some words.

The thing is, I just started, and apparently there are dialogues with voice acting, so the subtitles disappear after the character finishes their sentence. That usually makes it even harder because it doesn't give me enough time to look up what a certain word means, etc.

So, my questions are:

• Do the cutscenes have subtitles?
• Is there any way I can freeze the game during cutscenes and spoken dialogues? (In Skyrim, even though I played almost none of it, I used the ' key to open something that I don't even know what it was, and it paused the game and its dialogue.)
• How difficult is the vocabulary in this game?

My favorite things in RPGs are, by far, the story, and while at first I was kind of skeptical since it was “just” a mod, I didn't give it much attention. But I saw a lot of people saying how amazing the story is, and it is really making me want to buy Skyrim just to play it. Do you guys think it is a good idea? (I never cared much about Skyrim since a lot of people said its story was mid)

Also, should I play Skyrim or anything else first for a better experience?

I’m excited to try both games, but I honestly hate the graphics on the new version (not just Suikoden, also the same thing with FFVI for example).

I was ready to play the PS1 version on an emulator, but I saw a person saying the translation was bad and it was really buggy, so I would like the opinion from people who already played the game (no spoilers please)

I want to play some Switch games, but I don’t know if they can be emulated in a comfortable way (with native docked graphics, consistent FPS, etc.). If they can’t, I would be willing to wait until I can buy a Switch 2 or even a Switch 1.
