Hearing people talk in another language in front of me is low-key rude.

Some new friends and I were hanging out and most of them were chinese. Even tho I'm in the group as a participant, they still talk Mand/Canto to one another, sometimes over me (I'm sitting in the middle) even though we were talking about same experience or topic.

I find it so rude. I know this is the state of our country and people don't really give a shit. But man, I feel so excluded when these things happen. I can't help but get high school flashbacks of when I used to be ostracised so badly.

I wanna call them out and tell him in a lighthearted manner like "Hey guys, non Chinese here, mind sharing what you're talking about?" but it's tiring. I feel like I don't fit in even if I try so hard. The C girls just stick together and talk in Mand/Canto, and I suddenly feel like I'm not welcomed there.

Ladies, does it feel good when you squirt?

Recently learned that I could do it, thanks to my husband. It was a bit uncomfortable at first because it felt like peeing but over time, I learned how to relax and breathe and now it feels surprisingly good? Still can't cum clitorally tho, figuring that out.

Help. Having difficulty with new foreign housemate.

I am having difficulty living with a new housemate who just moved in last month. He's in his mid-40s, from Gaza, looking for work, currently unemployed.

At first I thought I was having a difficult time adjusting because I've had the whole house to myself for the last few years but I think it's not that anymore.

When he came to live here, I noticed he didn't have much things. He also used my things without my permission, and I told him not to. He said OK. Slowly he started bringing in more things, like utensils, cleaning supplies, food and beverages. I'm very ok with this - do what you need to do to make your tenancy comfortable, I suppose.

Our unit also has two bathrooms. One is the main bathroom where everyone poops and showers in it, and the 2nd one is not really usable because you have to manually flush.

I asked him not to use it because guy housemates tend to pee everywhere and are quite dirty in my experience, so I wanted to keep that bathroom for the girls.

But somehow he insists on using it even though I asked him not to, because he said the agent said can use. OK fine. But then I notice he doesn't put the pipe back, or wipe the seat clean after peeing. I'm starting to get irritated. Btw I took pics of it as evidence to send to the agent in case he gets out of hand.

Then I slowly notice that he started buying more and more things to keep in the fridge, until I don't even have space for my own things. I'm fine if he's making the space more habitable for himself, but not to the point where other people have no space to keep things.

Next he bought a prayer mat, and just left it on one of the chairs in the common living room, as if no one else sits there. I find this very inconsiderate.

Today I came home after being away for a few days and saw he had use my clothes rack that I bought, to hang his underwear. I had left some towels hanging there and he took it out, folded it and set it aside.

I took out his clothes and put it aside and hung my new laundry on it.

I don't understand why he can't simply use the balcony in his room, or in the living room to hang his laundry. Why use my clothes rack?

Next he keeps on taking up space on the kitchen table. He first put his utensils off to one side, but lately he just keeps spreading it until it covers the whole table. I don't even have space to prepare my own food anymore. I pushed his things aside and went to cut some fruit just now. I washed my knife and peeler and put it on the sink to drain. An hour later, I see them placed on the table, and his stuff spread out again, to the point it's starting to touch my stuff.

I'm so frustrated. I don't want to budge and I'm not backing down. I refuse to get bullied. But I need solutions on how to handle this conflict. Petty solutions are perfectly fine, I want to teach him not to mess with me before I report him to the agent/landlord.

Indian housemate stinks so bad, how can I politely tell him without sounding racist?

I'm renting out an apartment room, and I've been the longest staying tenant here. Basically manage everything from keeping the place generally clean and habitable.

Recently had a new guy move in, he's a student. The first thing I noticed is that he didn't shower the first day he moved in, and walks everywhere in the house barefooted. The bathroom had black footprints.

After that I start to notice that wherever he goes in the house, the smell follows and lingers like an extra housemate. Damn smelly, and so strong too, like sweaty clothes, musky pits and poor ventilation.

On top of that he uses those drugstore cologne, the ones you're suppose to dab on a bit and not marinate in it. It was so potent I couldn't breathe and had to open the windows and turn on the fan to let the air flow.

I don't know how to tell him this without sounding racist or rude. He's a nice fella, keeps to himself, and doesn't invade my space. But he also has poor hygiene and terrible body odour.

My watercolour painting of The Lotus Fairy

Done on 11.7 × 16.5" cold pressed paper for an upcoming exhibition.

I like how lotuses are seen as symbols of beauty and transformation in Hindu cosmology, seeing how they tend to grow in muddy waters and bloom beautifully above it.

I personally tend to get stuck in my head when things go overwhelmingly wrong or when I'm going through a big shift in life. And I sometimes forget to see that these changes can also be a potential for growth. So this is like a reminder to myself not to fear the change even if it feels uncertain or scary, because it can always be turned into something quite beautiful.

Hello kawans!! I'm in my mid 30s and it's s been my dream to take up bharatanatyam and reconnect with my roots. However, I don't know where to go for classes other than TOFA. Can anyone recommend?

Also not sure if it's too late for me to join, I'm worried it may be taxing on my body...

What are the ways a woman prepare for perimenopause?

I'm a woman in my mid 30s, no kids and no intention to have them. I grew up with little to no female influences in my life, except my mother but she died when I was a teenager. I don't even remember how her menopause was like, and I wish I could have asked her about it. Alas.

I'm currently doing a lot of strength training at the gym, and I lift as heavy as I possibly can. I heard it helps. I eat healthy and generally live a comfortable life. But other than that, I'm clueless about the things we can do.

Advice much appreciated ❤️

What's your personal philosophy for creating art?

I'll go first, I believe in finding the extraordinary within the ordinary. The magic in the mundane.

I believe life isn't always what we just see with our five senses, but what we come to experience through our imagination.

Why aren't there more Malaysians who lift weights or strength train at the gym? What's the reason behind it?

I'm trying to intro this friend (girl) to strength train and lift (light) with me, hoping it will help her get stronger and be more independent. She got back pain, knee pain, no strength and a while back also she injured her arm (recovered). She's only in her mid-30s. I told her we can go slow but she d!e d!e just wanna go walk la, yoga la, stretch only la... That one also once a week for her.

Her reasoning being she don't wanna get bulky, just want to tone. I already explained to her it won't be the case, that it takes YEARS to get bulky, and only with the intention to do so, even for men. She probably thinks I'm just a gym rat for saying this.

However, she's not the first. Other girls in my group in the same age prefer dancing, walking on the treadmill and pilates. All not interested or keen to try strength training.

I understand this isn't ingrained in us since we were young, but why are Malaysians so reluctant to go gym, let alone lift weights?

If a woman spends 1 year strength training before getting pregnant, could she potentially avoid the risk of postpartum joint and muscle pain?

I'm a new mum (36F) and currently having issues with her knees, especially when it comes to bending and squatting. Carrying my 15lbs baby ain't doing me any favours either. Doctors and specialists have suggested physio and yoga to reduce pain, which I find helpful, but I don't know if these are long term solutions.

A close friend of mine has suggested that I try strength training to build back muscles, but I don't like the idea of lifting weights, I don't wanna get bulky and I don't like feeling sweaty and uncomfortable...

Sometimes I wonder if I had taken some time to train my muscles a little before getting pregnant, would I have been able to avoid knee pain? I can't help but worry if I'll be able to play with my son as he grows up. :(

How effective is muscle memory?

I (36F) paused my workouts for about 2 weeks in Feb but life threw me some curveballs and it turned into six months. Basically I fell into deep depression and had a bad emotional spiral due to dealing with grief. During this time, I still ate relatively healthily, didn't track my macros but ate lots of fruit, veggies and protein. My sleep and mental health took a turn for the worse during this time. I didn't gain too much weight and I don't drink or smoke.

I was lifting quite heavy before this. Had a pretty decent build with muscles showing, but it all went away. I'm back to the gym again cuz I think life could be worth living, and I want to look and feel good for a big event happening later this year.

I'd like to know how much time it'd take me to regain the muscle I've lost. ❤️

My introvert friend is very social amongst our art circle and often hangs out with popular mutuals. The one time I said hi to a popular artist, she "jokingly" called me out on it. Am I overthinking this?

I'm also quite introverted and reserved as well, and I do make efforts to interact with these "popular" artists in our circle as well, whether it's in person or online, simply because I resonate with their works.

I'm glad she's got all these connections around her. And sometimes I do admit, I get a little envious - just a little - that she gets to hang out with them. But it's okay, I'm happy for her, and maybe I'll find my tribe someday. Maybe we just have different communication styles. It's just a wish, nothing serious.

But the one time I recognise a fairly popular artist in our circle, which was in a group chat, I said hi and geeked out a little bit because I was a fan of her handiwork. And my friend privately messaged me and jokingly told me "how dare you fl!rt with other people!"

I know she was clearly joking, but I'm wondering why she felt it was necessary to say that. She knows the same I'm also friends with, and she's on first name basis/hangs out with them personally. I wouldn't even think of saying that to her when she talks to my friends... Am I overthinking this? If there's a way I could address or reflect on this, please share. 🥰

Do I need an Epic Games account to sign up for Artstation?

Hi everyone! I felt it's time I created a new Artstation account as a portfolio landing page, since I've been in the industry for a while now. Most of my work is on social media but I wanted a clean page where my work is clearly displayed.

Upon signing up, I'm asked to register an Epic Games account. I don't play any of these games, and I don't personally have an account with EG. Is this a necessary step? Do I need two accounts just to be able to use Artstation? And um...it's still free right?

Sorry if these are basic questions, it's been a while since I checked with Artstation and it's changed a lot over the years.

A lesbian friend kept hitting on me despite knowing I'm straight. She made a joke about how spaghetti isn't straight when it's wet. I decided to cut her off. Could I have handled it another way?

As the title suggests, this was someone I (23F) recently met. We got along great, she (36F) was very cool and fun to be around, but she was very unapologetically hitting on me/flirting to the point I started getting awkward and wary. Still, I played it cool and smiled but never reciprocated, and made it clear we were just friends and didn't swing that way. After she made that spaghetti joke, I told her that it wasn't funny and I don't feel comfortable being friends with someone who couldn't understand boundaries. Idk if I overreacted or freaked out...I've never been in this situation before.

Edited for grammar.

Dear INTJs, I love conversations with you but sometimes your brutal honesty way feels quite hurtful. Being straightforward and direct is great, but maybe also be a little compassionate too?

Infj here. I appreciate the INTJ's straightforwardness and honesty. It's refreshing, even if it's opposite my own. I understand that to you, efficiency, directness and logical facts are the way to go.

However, I sometimes find your wording/tone can be a bit harsh and cold, and hurtful. I think you can be honest without being cruel to someone you're close to, and maybe show a little compassion in the way you speak. Not to the general public, but those in your inner circle who love you.
