It isn't the Rivoli but maybe they can practice playing for some middle schoolers??

Edit: I’m literally diagnosed with autism. It’s a diagnosis On File and On Paper. I have no issue with self-diagnosis but having this subreddit cast doubt on my autism because I get different responses from NT people is really gross and off putting
I recently went and got evaluated because I had the suspicion that I was autistic since i was young. Got the results that I /am/ autistic, got all the paperwork on next steps/how to perceive the diagnosis, etc.
I’m not very vocal that I’m autistic, but I also don’t tend to hide it or be ashamed. I’ve had coworkers make comments on autistic kids and I casually mention I’m also autistic and can see the kids perception (usually to get my coworkers to stop because… ew).
But one thing I can’t stand is the amount of comments about how I don’t seem autistic. I’ve heard “everyone is autistic nowadays”, “we’re all a little bit autistic”, I even met a new therapist who said “you must be level 1… no, not even, level 0.5 with how you act” (clearly not seeing her again).
I’m learning to get my voice on these subjects and calling out their casual ableism but fuck it’s so demeaning and upsetting! If anyone has advice on how to deal with this I’d love to hear it because it somehow always catches me by surprise and it really changes my perception of the person for the worst.
I made this terrifying self-portrait in high school and it’s been sitting in storage but recently I was given it back. Not going into details but I was diagnosed with CPTSD this year (at 27) and I’m remembering a lot of traumatic things from my childhood, which I’m assuming is why I saw myself in this type of light and painted it
I’m a bit torn on what to do about this. I don’t want to trash it because it holds a lot of sentimental value, but seeing it does hurt and gives me waves of grief, so I don’t want to hang it up right now. It’s also taking up some space in the closet.
Any ideas? Maybe a way to subtly hide it in the house so it’s not easily accessible but still present?
Also I know the story attached is sad but feel free to make fun of it, I know the painting is A Lot
I woke up this morning to find that the ink leaked through my second skin. I took it off and washed with dial gold and put a layer of aquaphor on it, but is there anything I need to add to the routine to make sure it heals well?
I’m planning on washing with dial gold twice a day, light aquaphor 3x for the first 4-5 days then switching to lubiderm
Pics are day of vs when I woke up after it leaked (I don’t see any massive bleeding/problems outside of possibly needing the nose touched up in a month)
Got a coverup today and I’m absolutely blown away. I can’t believe I get to keep this on my body forever!!
My cats always got this weird stink face going on. give me some (funny) reasons as to why he does!
I went WAY too hard on the elephant 😅 but I'm super proud of it! You can find my profile here
(I can provide a timelapse/sketch to mods as proof)
Haven't digitally painted in a few years and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I don't think elephants can naturally lay in this pose (I didn't find any references) so it was fun trying to figure that out too :)
(Note: I’m a digital artist and haven’t done traditional in 8+ years until today)
I went to the zoo to do some real life studies since it’s been years and I’m super out of practice. I had a lot of fun but I realized I have no idea how to capture moving subjects!
I know about gesture drawing, but that’s difficult when you don’t know the anatomy of your subject well. Does anyone have advice on how to draw a moving subject where you still capture the “essence” without knowing the anatomy perfectly? I can get the basics but it’s hard to fill it in to make it realistic.
He prefers dogs but unfortunately the app doesn’t allow for interspecies relationships so he’s shooting his shot here
Not a cow this time but I couldn’t help myself. I saw this axolotl in other people’s collections and fell in love, can’t believe I got one myself!
Found a big jazwares piplup at a local flea market for $30! I’m absolutely obsessed with it. Originally had the tag but I removed it when I got home. Such a great cuddle buddy!
Featuring my cat who always has to be in my business 😭
Originally hung it on a low hook because I needed to move it out of the way but then I realized my cat loves looking in it 😭😭 so I guess it’s his mirror now
Posted this on a separate thread and got some fun feedback so I wanted to make it's own post. All the movies I've seen with my A-list sub so far this year ranked!
Gonna go see The Furious and (possibly) Obsession in the next couple days.
Curious what everyones thoughts on this ranking is... my 8th grade students like to call my interests "niche" and I definitely think it reflects here lol
I guess I’m just collecting cows now… the blue ones tag said it “loves to see what the world has to offer”. Now they can go see the world together 🥹
A couple years ago I got this chair that my cat loves to sleep in, but before sleeping he always bites at it (in the same specific spot).
It’s not leaving any damage, I’m just curious if anyone has any idea of what he’s doing/why he’s doing it? This is the only piece of furniture he does this to
Ordered a Jay keychain from Flapjastic on Etsy and it came with so many extra goodies!! Highly highly recommend, I’m absolutely in love with the stickers!
