Haven't digitally painted in a few years and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I don't think elephants can naturally lay in this pose (I didn't find any references) so it was fun trying to figure that out too :)

I went to the zoo to do some real life studies since it’s been years and I’m super out of practice. I had a lot of fun but I realized I have no idea how to capture moving subjects!

I know about gesture drawing, but that’s difficult when you don’t know the anatomy of your subject well. Does anyone have advice on how to draw a moving subject where you still capture the “essence” without knowing the anatomy perfectly? I can get the basics but it’s hard to fill it in to make it realistic.

He prefers dogs but unfortunately the app doesn’t allow for interspecies relationships so he’s shooting his shot here

Hi all!

I’m new to needlefelting - like, brand new, this is my second project. I attached photos of my first (that I abandoned) at the end for a better explanation of what I’m confused on.

I’ve been doing digital art for many many years and I’ve always struggled to put things into 3D shapes. This time around I used wire and polyfil which is helping (fleshing out legs + body later).

My question is… how do I do details, like the face and ears? Should I mold them with polyfil first, or should those be added with wool only? Should the shapes be cut out and stuck on, almost 2D?

In my first project I rolled the wool for the ears into a ball then try to stick it into shape and that clearly did not end well, so I’d like to make it look more realistic. Im just worried cutting out the wool will make it look too 2D.

Charlie unfortunately had to get a nail removed due to funky growing (it was growing sideways into his paw). Now he has 25 toes instead of 26 :(

He's not a warrior cat OC anymore - I actually repurposed him to be the main character of my upcoming comic, Slackwater - but his roots in WC runs deep.

His original name (Frogpaw) was given because I modeled him after a ghost frog! (for plot purposes)

2025 - 2021 - 2017 - 2011ish

It’s the last week of school and my students made me a NTBTSTM bracelet and bought me one of the posters 😭😭 I told them how I’ve seen this movie 7 times in theaters (casual AMC A-list plug) and now they ask every Monday if I watched “my movie” over the weekend. And of course some of them got to see Matt and bird break loose. Really funny and unexpected way for this school year to turn

EDIT: totally forgot but I also showed the CN tower scene since they learn about gravity in 7th grade. That was super fun, I just had to cut it before they land on the roof.

I noticed as i was leaving that the new company, Willow Bridge, is bribing new residents with discounts if they leave 5 star reviews. I also noticed its been slowly making its way back onto prospective renters' lists. So, here's my complete experience renting there:

"I was a resident for nearly three years and, frankly, you couldn’t pay me to move back. While I have high hopes for the new company who bought Elements, I’ve learned my lesson about trusting these companies that buy “luxury apartments” because they flip at a moments notice. Tl;dr they nearly shut our water off while I lived there and communication has always been lacking. Also, the new leasing company is giving discounts for leaving five star reviews, so take all reviews with a grain of salt. DO NOT SIGN just because you like this current company!

When I originally moved in, I signed because I liked the leasing staff a lot and I loved the gated community. At the time, the gates were working. The gates proceeded to break within a couple weeks and haven’t worked since (three years later). At one point, the gates were all locked and someone had to jump the fence to trigger it for the cars to go through. That company then sold the property to Lurin about five months later.

Now, the water: Lurin refused to pay the city and ended up owing over a million dollars. Residents got a notice at our doors saying water would be turned off August 21st if it wasn’t paid by then. Lurin barely provided updates, refused to sell the property until the last second, and refused to pay security deposits back. It was stressful and scary for everyone involved.

The neighborhood is terrible. There is a motel nearby that used to have frequent fights and screaming coming from it. It lessened over the years, so hopefully it’s been cleaned up. Many people use the broken gates as a shortcut and/or use the dumpsters for dumpster diving. A year ago there was an individual that lived out of a car trailer in the Seaglass parking lot that would walk around naked/get dressed in the parking lot and Lurin did nothing after I reported it.

My downstairs neighbor had also killed himself, and the only reason I knew was because I heard him screaming and had to talk to the police the next day. The apartment complex never reached out to the residents in the building, which felt strange. Im not sure what I expected, but total silence felt inappropriate considering someone had died.

Some other things that have been touched on in other reviews: the pools are disgusting and rarely cleaned, the work out equipment is not maintained, they used to power wash the outside of the buildings but no longer do (especially gross if you live in Sunshine), the buildings walls are extremely thin, they no longer spray for pests, and you’ll find roaches frequently (again, if you live in sunshine, near the construction). Speaking of construction, there’s been construction going the entire three years I was there.

My unit wasn’t awful, but the water pressure was a literal trickle and maintenance shrugged and said that was “normal” after visiting three times. It was so bad you couldn’t wash your hands efficiently. My next door neighbor had someone write “fag” in dog shit on the door, which I think gives you a good idea of the type of people who live on this property. Most of my problems didn’t come from the unit, but the environment itself and the leasing company; which, unfortunately, it can’t be guaranteed that the current (Willow Bridge) will be staying long-term.

I would be very, very cautious about signing a lease here."
