Assistance dog English Staffy misbehaving

Hello everyone - I have a purebred English staffy who is my assistance dog. He went through surgery 3 weeks ago, and he is misbehaving incredibly. I know it’s because he didn’t do much for weeks (very short walks), but I am going insane.

Any training suggestions on how to get him back to normality? He is whining a lot, wanting to meet people, always demanding crying and so on. He is 6 years old.

What treatment/medicine/training worked for you? Share your journey please

Hello guys - in 2024 I flew back to my home country for over 24 hours. I got so sick, I couldn’t properly eat and function for 5 days. The anxiety and panic just was too much.

I tried to expose myself after that for just a couple of hours flights, ended up driving the way back for how badly I was.

In January 2027 I have to attend a friend’s wedding which is about 3 hours flight. If we drive, it’s a 24 hours drive (so obviously over 2 days, Australia for you). I would like yo visit my family too in June 2027. I want a better solution please.

I HATE BENZOS, I don’t know how they work for others; for me, my brain starts overthinking while my body is numb. That makes everything worse. The only thing that has worked is alrpozolam with a very small dosage. However, it’s all just temporarily. My partner wants me to try some 🍄 or other similar drug$ that are being patented in the world (Australia has trials, but they are not open to the public, correct me if I am wrong).

What treatment have you done that really worked for you? I AM DRIVING!!!! Something I haven’t done in over 7 years and I am so proud of myself. Please share your experience.

Is this normal day 14 of stitches?

Stitches got off the 10th day. I was allowed to wash him today day 14. Just seen now after few hours his belly looks like this. He has been to the vet twice already.

Day 10 stitches

Do they look good? I would like to clean them but it feels they get scrubbier when I clean them. Stitches will dissolve apparently.

UPDATE: The nurse who discharged him was WRONG. These stitches were to be removed. The stitches were incredibly tight, his belly looks like a sausage now it’s just insane. Anyways, good news is that it is healing very well and no need for antibiotics. A bit disappointed with the staff and the stitches overall, but I just want this to be gone. Thank you for your answers x

Help me understanding/deciding please.

Hello everyone - seeking advices because I absolutely dislike my image/hair atm. To start with: the picture (second one) I am comparing myself to is a pic took during a dance class. I had my hair up and took them down. 5 days no refresh. However, I feel the same as I look myself in the mirror.

About 5 years ago, I got a VERY SHORT haircut which I thought ruined my hair. I just left a DV relationship, and I needed a change. However, they turned out amazing. For context, I was working out everyday, I was jacked, I ate 100% clean food, absolutely no alcohol/drugs. I LOVED MY HAIR. The more it grew, the curlier it got. My routine was and still be: washing my hair once a week, do a gelatine mask, shampoo (clarifying once a month), a bit of conditioner that I was away, mouse and gel. I would diffuse with an old hairdryer I had that did a great job.

In picture two, I had been dancing as a sport for 2 days, gym, and I was out the Friday I washed them. So technically day 5 without re-fresh. I am very conscious of my forehead because I feel my hair is thinning at my hairline, I wear a bang which I am over with; I can’t seem to style it properly as I used to, it doesn’t curl right, some strings look almost straight? So I am letting it grow and see what happens. I don’t work out nearly as much as I did, I gained fat (again, I was about 10% fat at the time so I don’t disagree with more) and I am not so anal with my diet.

I live in Australia, water is really hard here and has weird PH levels. I moved neighbourhoods from the good hair, and I heard even that impacts your hair due to different water. I bought a fake Dyson, I follow the same routine, but my curls are now sometimes barely 2C with extremely flat roots. I got a haircut from a curl specialist and absolutely hated it (I didn’t get what I asked for/imagined). I feel my head is a mushroom, especially in the front and side.

I asked my doc to do some hormonal testing, we did only one and she dismissed me because “it depends on your period cycle” (I changed doc, but other things have priority atm). My free testosterone was higher than the parameters, but she didn’t flag it. It turned out I have IBS, I am intolerant to starch, sucrose, and lactose. I did a colonoscopy, a polyp which was cancerous was found. I also went through more stress but who doesn’t.

Anyways, thank you if you read it this far. I hope to find people who had similar experience? Any advices on what to do for my fringe/haircut. I know it can really help not showing my face, but I have what I think to be oval/heart shaped face. Olive skin (awful lighting lol) and brown eyes.

Buddy Muddy surgery help

I am new to this, please bare with me. A bit restless and not enough sleep, trying to figure it all out. His link: https://gofund.me/518a082d7

If someone was to ask my story, I would always include Buddy first. I migrated to Australia about 7 years ago, and even if he has been with me for only 3 years, he is my soul dog. At the tender age of almost 30, I made the big decision to adopt him from a bad situation. Oh was he a mess, but man… he is one of the best things that has ever happened in my life. We live with trauma, sorrow, grief, pain, far away from who we love, but yet… such a silly and lovely creature can change that in a heartbeat.

Buddy has touched many hearts, with his strong body but gentle soul. He is a bit of a psycho around a ball or a frisbee, loves the beach, the car, and probably the dog with the most healthy eating habits. He has now been hospitalised to undergo stomach surgery. An alien body was found in his stomach and more updates are to come.

In March, I lost my job due to work rights at the time. I am currently able to work and looking for a job. In the meanwhile, I work as a dog walker, uber delivery, but it’s not enough as not stable. In Australia, you have to pay a deposit before any hospitalisation. I am downpaying the $1700 you see with afterpay. However, I don’t have the capacity to pay for this surgery. The bill is now at $8000. The prices you see is the approximate of what could have been based on different situations.

The good news is that Buddy had his surgery, they found a palm tree nut in his small intestine. He had some complications and had to stay longer at the hospital. I managed to get him back home Tuesday night at around 10 pm.

I would greatly appreciate any help in any sort of donation. Nothing is too small. Thank you everyone for your help.

I am so proud of myself and I wanted to share this with you!

Hello beautiful people - I work as a dog walker and I most of the times walk my dog and other dogs with my partner (who drives) or cycle to places.

My dog got surgery (more on my page if you want to help or just share) and he cannot come with me on walks. He stayed home with my partner.

I drove for 15 min each way!!!! On my own! I can’t believe it yet. It’s such an achievement I can’t comprehend.

Thank you for reading ❤️

My IG is reactivated after months, but my FB is disabled again?

I am not sure what to think of this? My FB was returned to me months ago, while my instagram was not.

FB asked to ID myself again and video verification, my name on the ID is different as I go by a nickname with friends. Why???

Can I clean stitches at day 2 after surgery?

Male English Staffordshire bull terrier, 6 years old, 15 kg, Australia

My dog went through an intestine surgery to retrieve a palm tree nut lodged in his small intestine. His stitches are red, speaking with the vet they said it’s normal and might be leaking. I personally think the stitches are not great, but I am not a vet.

If you wanna read more about what happened and would like to help, check my profile.

Can I clean it? Why is it having a reaction to the cover I was told to remove? pic of the stitches

Why some body spray costs more than others?

Hello beautiful people - I have a dilemma. Some body sprays costs more than others, even the new arrivals. Why? As for instance millions dollar is A$70, banofee pie A$58. Others such as avocado co-wash A$50.
