Pen charger slot broken

Has anyone ever seen this plastic part break? I'm a little surprised actually. This causes the thermometer to think that it's separated and i think that drains the battery.

I use the thermometer pretty rarely and I don't think I've ever stressed the plastic while taking it out of the charger.

How much does pothos care about being tied up with velcro band to a home depot plank vs a tree body with a bark? I'm gonna start a pot like this but not sure how to go about it.

I remember shooting some monsters or zombies in a graveyard after dark, maybe something like swamp. I remember some fog, maybe some green gas cloud as well. It was a demo i played, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
