How to prep these walls for painting?

I rolled the ceiling and got some ceiling paint on the walls. We plan to paint the walls sage green soon- do I need to do anything to these areas first?

How do I cover this flooring edge at the top of our stairs?

We have a raw edge of the kitchen flooring at the top of our basement stairs. The piece right below the flooring is metal, so I cant nail anything into it. We own the house, moved in recently.

HARSH Kitchen Light

I understand the need for bright light in the kitchen, but this thing blinds me. What types of bulbs can I use that will illuminate the area, but wont burn out my eyeballs?

Light bulb type for shower fixture?

When replacing this lightbulb, do I need to consider any specific type because it is located above the shower?

Also, what brightness and color temperature works best in this space? We have bright lighting above the mirror.

Planning blank room

Is this a good start for these rooms? I already have the dining table, but nothing else. Planning on using Saybrook Sage on the walls. I'll probably also have a bookcase and accent chair later on.

Overdosed on prilosec with Antibiotics for dog?

My dog was just prescribed doxycyline for pneumonia and the vet also prescribed 60mg of Omeprazole evey 24 hours. Our dog has no history of stomach issues.

Because we gave her her first round of antibiotics last night, I accidently gave her the omeprazole again this morning before her antibiotics, meaning that I gave her 2 doses in 24 hours instead of one. Is this okay or will it cause other issues?

She is also on fluoxetine, so the plan is to give her that dose, then omeprazole and hour later, then doxy an hour after that.

Our kitchen is in the middle of the main floor and has this backsplash. Any ideas for paint colors in the adjoining rooms that wont clash? Dining room and living room are both next to the kitchen.

FSBO Seller left sentimental letters in house

We moved into a completely empty house, but I found some old letters addressed to the seller on an upper shelf. Should I reach out to the seller myself through Facebook or ask my realtor to help? The house was FSBO, so we have met the seller multiple times.

Edit: I was always going to return the letters, that was not a question. My question was whether I should try and reach out to the owner through Facebook (since I had no contact info for them), or ask my realtor to reach out and get the letters to them. I wasn't sure about proper procedure after closing, since so much of the transaction is handled through a realtor.

Thanks for the advice- I reached out last night through FB and she is picking up the letters today.

Options for shaded area next to ditch?

We have this area outside of our fence that leads into a ditch between the yard and the road. It is a pain to mow because of the walnut trees above, and the slope of the ditch. Right now it is a mixture of creeping charlie, grass, and weeds. What can I plant here instead of grass? Zone 5b

Paint colors to match gray carpet, wood trim

We moved into a house with cool gray carpet and original warm wood trim and doors. I dislike the carpet color, but it is new, so we will be keeping it. What paint color options might work for these rooms?

Vinegar in place of fabric softener?

At my last house I used vinegar as fabric softener in my old maytag top loader to help with hard water- can I use it in this machine without causing problems? I like vinegar as opposed to regular fabric softener because it doesn't leave a scent or residue.
