my girlfriend and i playing pokémon black (me, left) and pokémon white (her, right) on our DSi XLs after a significantly longer workday than usual. she bought the consoles, i got the games. cant wait to get trading

absolutely love this film. have seen it dozens of times. was thrilled to find a well cared for copy locally. popping it in tonight while i fiddle with some SEGA or NES games. anyone else like seven? what’s in the box?

my grandma gave me the psone LCD screen ages ago. i haven’t really had a good environment in a long time, so it’s been in a box. finally got all settled and gaming stuff all set up, i thought, why not bust this bad boy out! sound works perfect, but… no backlight. is it just the backlight? could it be something else? i tried to look into if lcd screens can be found with dead backlights if never used, but i couldn’t find anything about one that hadn’t been used before. this device was just opened to look at, was bought as a travel idea for my grandma but she never used it. is it cooked? any chance i could repair this on my own, or find a LGS that repairs screens to try? i saw a very old post of someone reviving one with leds, but thats kinda out of my wheelhouse. if its something big i have to do myself, i suppose i can set it back on the shelf for now.

connected my raycons to my DSI (or any other auxiliary old tech) because i just cannot find any good wired headphones for my ears. i have like such small ears so all my headphones hurt lmao. i remembered when i grabbed one of these like a decade ago for my car and swiped one online lmao. anyone else need their new age headphones? lol

been really enjoying hunting around locally to find vhs. it seems in my town that there is a bit of a mixed bag; seems like a good chunk of vhs around if you can find the right places. i hear a lot of the same thing, that people would keep them if they had a way to watch them. i’m going to make sure i always have a way to watch them.

my gf gifted me a barely used DSi, just randomly one day when she got herself a DSiXL so we could play together. i have a ds lite, but it’s from 20 years ago and it’s just garbage, so i havent played a lot of the good ones. also dug out my 3DS with my DS stuff and started playing it again. i got a few new games, and have been able to revisit some favorites from my childhood. some of my favorite games i’ve played that i haven’t ever seen much hype over (to be fair, i was young at DS release and am just now focusing in on it, so i could be wrong) are the professor Layton games, Bleach Dark Souls, and Paper Mario Sticker Stars. we combined our collections together and uh, let’s just say we have plenty to play lol.

i’ve had my second room just completely in chaos for a long time. my gf and i get an online order each week that gives us random boxes and i have the “but what if i could use that” gene, so i have had a stack of them for a while. finally reorganized all of my physical media, got all my DVD on the second shelf and easy to look through, albeit kinda interesting looking. use what you got, is what i thought! :D

just got a CRTV and decided to finally take the dive today on a genesis. found a beautiful v1 and they had all 3 sonic games … how could i say no? picked up a few other games too. from a LGS. happy birthday to Sonic, and myself on the 29th :)
