First time poster, but i have a lot of interesting pieces i can share. Idk anything really, other than what i like. I grabbed this at a yardsale for $3. Thanks for any thoughts on the id and the dry/paintless spot. I think this is roku, right? The pearly iridescent isn't showing up on my photos well. It is just under 7" tall.
All finds within a 7 day span 😁
Feather earring - parking lot
'64 Rosie - coinstar
Saint Christopher - roadside
Onyx earring - dustbin at credit union coin machine
Probably a well known blunder but thought I'd share.
Nice wear patterns. If these were jeans they'd be stressed by design. Always glad when the reject tray holds several coins!
Just found a silver Saint medallion this week, then this in a parking lot, and then a silver done in my local coin star! Retiring soon!
Found this in the gravel on the side of a busy road in Utah. Cleaned it by rubbing it with a clean toothpick. Aren't these typically sterling silver?
Different answer from each employee at my credit union branches:
Yesterday the machine jammed while I was dumping change and a newer employee and manager were using teamwork to fix it. New employee pulls this earing out of the dustbin and hands it to the manager. Manager hands it to me and then asks, "Is that yours?" I shook my head, "No, but thanks. I'm willing to take anything you'll spare from the dustbin. Some collectors I talk with online say their banks will give them the dust bin contents." He just laughed and said, "That's funny." I'm counting this silver from the dust bin as a huge victory!
Stopped at an intersection to grab a trailer hitch pin, then spotted another, then found St Cristopher off the roadside baking in the gravel! Stoked!
First time finding button batteries and wouldn't you know it, I found 2! Unfortunately, one already had all the flavor chewed out of it. I check about 5 machines regularly and typically only been finding an occasional cent or clad dime. Happy for some variety yesterday.
Thought I'd share this micro-collection. 20 years ago i passed up a couple Smith's vhs and I've never forgiven myself. I also bought a B-52s VHS but when i got it home i found inside was a Wham! tape. 🤣
Bagged up all these loose pages of DVDs and asked for a deal. I didn't really look at what was there, but saw some newer DC Universe films and other action movies and a lot of movies i didn't recognize. There are 70 pages full of 8 discs (560) + a bunch of pages missing at least one disc. After counting and seeing more of what's here, there are a lot of tv series, marvel, twilight, Harry Potter, LOTR, and very few pages of cds. Some Arthurian themed movies that i like. I'm guessing I'll be most excited about the ones I've never heard of. I figure I'll make my $24 back on ebay with one i don't want to keep.
This was the first found in the reject tray, other 2 were under the machines. It has wax costing both sides. 🤔
It's so nice when users do check the reject tray, but just want to share. ... also one penny was still in the basket.
Pretty low yield patch of grass today. Better luck to all of you! (Utah County, UT)
At first I thought I had found a snipped mercury dime. Then I found it was a thin piece of tin with the image stamped on it. Google image search called it a "gaming counter charm" and said it might be from the 19th ce. But other than that, I didn't see any information about where it comes from, when, and what it is for. Anyone here know? Thanks!
Nothing amazing, but keeps me outside. The half dollar and angel bell are favorites of the day. Thought I'd found a snipped merc at first. But seems just a piece of tin.
Love these Australian coins with the little mole on the back. Conveniently there were 2 so you can see both sides. I think I've gotten these Hong Kong coins before. 🤩
