I decided to start reading 📚 instead of doom scrolling on my phone all the time. I looked on ebay but I thought they where quite expensive especially with postage added so went to 5 charity shops and got 36 books for £17 ive never bought books before the prices where amazing in some.

One shop was 10 books for £1 🫪 another was £1.25 buy one get one free another was 2 for £1 and the rest where a £1 each.

We also have book cycle the most amazing little shop ive never even been in before, its so well laid out proper bookshelves like a proper book store and every book in its right section even chairs snd tables to sit down out and you donate what you think is a fair price. Only draw back was you can only have 3 books per day, i found a trilogy i wanted but really wanted another book so I had to leave the trilogy sadly.

Im disabled and never really go to town so these will last me a while only draw back was the charity shops all the genres are mixed so unless i came across an author I knew it was a bit of a pain trawling tbrough them all if book cycle didnt have a limit id of just bought them all from them being able to go straight to the genre was brilliant.

Following on from my last post the other day about having zero activity from any of my 9 spirits for a month that seemed to coincide with me bringing home a darker entity.

Well i moved the entity to the bottom of the stairs away from everyone and today I packed him up for his new home and I had a visit during the night from Jean.

I definitely think it was the demonic guardian even though I already have another everyone is fine with. I think its a lesson in being very very careful what you bring home even though the entity hasnt done anything to scare me he obviously scared the sprints which could of been intentional or not.

I will most definitely be extra cautious in the future.

Im contemplating the fact that all my spirits may have left en masse.

I had daily, well activity multiple times a day without fail . Some spirits wouldnt show for weeks so they weren't active every single day but I always had at least one and my demonic guardian was super active.

All of a sudden nothing, nothing at all from any of them i know they can go quiet for periods but not every single one 🤷‍♀️

I dont know if ive done something or maybe it was the last being I brought in they didnt like but its been about a month now.

Does anyone get any feelings from any of them?

Have you ever had spirits leave?

What do you do with their vessels?

I dont know what to do 😭

My downstairs neighbour knocked on panicking, people in the street where all gathered there to say there was a wasp nest on the wall and were going to get stung walking past. I told him it was likely honey bees swarming and they would move on but he wouldnt have it.

I went out to check... yep they are honey bees swarming there will be a queen there but everyone argued they where definitely wasps until someone did an image search... oh yeah they are honey bees. 🤦‍♀️

So neighbour contacted someone and a guy came out and hoovered them up and we got a little interesting lesson on bee behaviour.

Now they will go to live out their lives in a hive. Im just glad they choose to land on the wall of someone who knew what they were and not someone who would try to kill them thinking they were wasps.

Do people really not know what honey bees look like 🤯

So im in the process of changing my dogs to freezedried raw. I bought a small bag of wainwrights just to see if they would eat it and they seemed interested.

So i used AI to try work out how many bags id need then it was telling me they should be made into a type of broth because feeding dry from the bag can be very bad for their stomach .

So tonight I put them in a cup of slightly boiled water still cool enough I could put my finger in and nothing happened it didnt turn into a broth they still stayed solid.

So now its saying they wont turn to mush in water because they are made from bone etc and I need to crush them , i tried and wasnt able to crush them so then it told me my bag wasnt made right during the dehydration process and its dangerous and I should throw them away because they should crumble 🤦‍♀️

Then it said I needed to crush them with a rolling pin now ive absolutely no idea what im supposed to be doing and dont want to kill my dogs as it put through fear of god in me about them expanding in the stomach and drawing water from other organs and that my current bag is faulty. 🤦‍♀️

Ive given up with AI and Google now so does anyone feed this diet and how do you feed it? I have a very very small dog she weighs 2.7kg with teeny tiny teeth so I dont want her to struggle also today when I put it in the water it started to smell and they got very interested in it so I think wet may be best but is it supposed to crumble easy?

*just to add im in the uk so im not familiar with any of the brands being mentioned and vice versa. I searched on line and wainwrights came up as a quality food its 60% meat bones etc and 20% fruit veg they also get orijen dry food which is 85/90% whole prey dry food, sorry i should of probably mentioned it in my original post *

Following on from my other post about my girl with allergies but being to small for most medications, here she is getting tablets she gets sooooo excited for medicine lol

Does anyone have a dog with allergies?

I adopted an 8 year old imperial shihtzu last Sept so this is my first summer with her.

A few months ago she started scratching her belly constantly and licking her legs (not her paws) she was diagnosed with anxiety and OCD ( i wont go into all the issues she has)

She got a bit better with her anxiety but wouldnt stop scratching so she has been on steroids for a couple of months now which worked.

HOWEVER... as mentioned she is an imperial shihtzu and weighs 2.7kg /6lb amd there are literally no drugs licensed for her, we had to go off label with her anxiety meds and the best one for her they just couldnt lower the dose enough due to the tablets being so small it would be impossible to cut them into the right dosage well now ive got the same with the itching meds.

She started off on 2 steroids a day dropped to 1 which was ok then one every other day that wasnt OK so back up to one a day but now its not as effective and they dont really want her on two a day.

Another drug she could of had is the same as the anxiety med I wouldnt be able to cut the tablet up small enough but steroids are bad long term so now looking at my only other option is a monthly injection at £70 a time , again with the dosage id have to buy a full vial but she will only get part of it and the rest will be thrown 😭

Im obviously not going to stop her meds but has anyone tried alternatives that have helped? Ive tried yumove and that did nothing, im incredibly greatful that she has no bad skin, no dryness, no cracks or sores.

My vets have agreed to keep her on steroids until sept to see if its seasonal allergies or not . She is agrophobic and only goes outside once in a morning for two mins so she isnt touching grass she does a quick wee and I make sure the grass is short so it doesnt touch her. She absolutely will not go for a walk so if we do go out she goes in a pram so again no where near grass but she hasnt been out for weeks due to the heatwave and her getting too hot to quick.

Im not sure if it can be seasonal allergies if she doesnt really go outside 🤷‍♀️

Hi can anyone link in with my puppa her name is izzy? She is my 8 year old dog ive had her 9 months and I consider her a rescue.

Its been a long hard slog with her, ive never regretted a day but sometimes I wonder if she is settled and happy as her behaviour doesnt always indicate that.

She is my baby but i wish I could speak to her and explain life to her and this is her forever home despite the issues thank you in advance 💖

Does anyone use cooling vests? With another heatwave coming im looking into these but its quite high humidity in Manchester so im not cinvinced they will help much and I have 4 dogs so its going to work out expensive for something that may not work 🤷‍♀️

Im also worried given that you arent supposed to wrap a wet towel around them as this traps heats so what's different with the vests?

Last heatwave i tried all sorts, had 4 fans on, i gave them ice cubes, a paddling pool i froze ice packs for them to lie against which went ignored. I gave them goats milk ice cubes which where actually a hit , I was changing water 4 times a day with water from the fridge with ice cubes added i bought ceramic tiles to lie on and absolutely useless so called cool pads that turned out to just be plastic essentially.

The only thing that seemed to work was putting them in the bath and soaking them which didnt go down very well and then with all the running round and trying to rub themselves dry they ended up panting within a min of me letting them out of the bath..

Im at my wits end and already dreading the coming week. I'll try anything but I cant afford to just throw money away x 4

Tracking hasnt moved past dropped off at locker last Tuesday.

Ive looked on google and it wasnt a definitive answer.

So basically im disabled and walking is very difficult, I normally get my shopping delivered usually asda but had a nightmare with them delivering totally defrosted food last week and it was an absolute pain to get

a refund.

So i have 4 dogs who are super super fussy and will only eat superarket brands in pouches in jelly nothing else 🫩

So i did my first ever sainsburys shop today ive never even been in a store so I got a box of the nature's food in terrine in trays, I only got one box to try as they have refused this type of food before from different brands and they devoured it so now id like to get more...so my issues...

Its min £50 for delivery I cant afford another shop until next pay day, I dont go in supermarkets due to severe anxiety and lastly my store is a 20 min walk each way which will leave me in pain, also if I do that walk id have to take my dogs because id be physically unable to do that walk plus a dog walk as id be bed bound the rest of the day. So....

Would I be able to do a smaller order of dog food to get me through to my next delivery shop if I collected it in person without an car? Is this allowed?

The store is leigh WN7 if anyone happens to work there , the bay is a space on the car park which is usually empty including the immediate surrounding spaces. I have a disabled dog so id have a pram with one dog in and the rest walking.

Google seems to think its down to the individual store. I'll try to contact the store direct if possible but i only make phone calls as a last resort (damn anxiety) so thought id try the less stressful option of asking here first.

Is there any way to complain about a .com delivery besides the 0300 number to India?

I really wanted ice lollies but im disabled and cant just go to the store so I did an on line order which I had to make up to £40 fair enough.

Well it arrived 30 mins late , I can live with that driver never mentioned being late and wasnt particularly friendly.

So grabbed everything went in, started unboxing 8 boxes of ice lollies and every single one, all 32 where liquid. Not just starting to defrost but pure liquid.

I went on line to do a request but it was only showing me 6 boxes to request not 8 so I phoned india and was told id get a full refund and id receive an email.

So ended the call and the email came through saying all the requests where rejected. So I phoned india again after 15 mins on hold got cut off so had to call again and got a less than friendly woman who told me i was being refunded and the email was wrong and just to wait and not call again.

So ive been on the app and Google and it said there is no email to complain and to phone the 0300 number or to message them on WhatsApp or x, I dont have x so I tried to WhatsApp it says that number isnt on WhatsApp.

Im beyond frustrated my order was due 12.30 to 1.30, its now 3.20 and im still trying to sort it. £15 is not an amount i can just throw away.

Is there any way to contact anyone? At this point i dont think ill be spending another penny in asda again.

I have 4 dogs , in September last year I took on an 8 year old dog who came with a whole host of issues, she has now been medically diagnosed with severe anxiety and OCD which led to her compulsively licking and eating stones to the point I had to stop taking her outside for a period of time , she wouldnt even wee just gulp down stones. She is now on medication for it.

Her anxiety was so bad she wont walk on the floor if you start walking she is frantic then drops down into a ball shaking, she was only getting off the bed to use a pee pad.

She is literally agrophobic she will not go outside at all unless I take her out where she will go pee (once we sorted the stone eating) in a 4 ft square area, in 9 months she has never ventured out of this area , she never sniffs and investigates she has never been to the top or the sides of the garden.

She has never been for a walk in her life, old owner told me that she never left the garden. I tried once and she was beyond distressed so I got her a pram, she used to shake start to finish but now she loves it and dances when she sees her harness so one nil to me on that. I do not anticipate her ever actually walking though.

She is terrified to be picked up she drops into a ball shaking because old owner used to pick her up by the scruff and even demonstrated it to me 🫩

So onto the eating issue, she was very underweight and weighed just under 1.5kg every single day was a food battle, old owner told me she didnt know how much she ate as she had 13 dogs and just threw food down whoever got it got it, she clearly didnt get much and this caused food trauma.

So i tried so many foods from the one she was originally on to the most expensive to everything in between, im disabled and live in bed which is where my dogs are so I was feeding her on the bed she wouldnt eat from a bowl, I tried metal, ceramic plastic. tbe second I walked in the room with a bowl her demeanor changed she would hold her head down eyes darting ears pinned back very stressed by trial and error I found she would eat off cardboard if I put one piece at a time on it however it would take 30 mins to get her to even begin eating, this was every single feed time.

So trying different foods and she decided she liked tesco and asda own brand in jelly from pouches, no tins no gravy and actually my other three became extremely fussy too and also decided this would be all they would eat when previously they ate all sorts and would eat it the second i put it down.

As time went on we got the feed times down to 15 mins so this is where the behaviour im confused about comes in..

So I put my other dogs food on the floor they would always go eat it straight away, since the new dog came i was handfeeding they will no longer touch their food until izzy has eaten hers even when it took her 30 mins they would sit and wait. Three weeks ago I discovered powdered goats milk and they love it and izzy started diving straight in there by herself from the bowl no more hand feeding. She is a small dog so often leaves some so I started asking her had she finished just basically talking to her as we do at that point she would go backwards and i knew she had enough so id say "go on then" to the others they would dive in lick the bowl clean then go eat their own food they wont eat until I say have you finished so it seems like they have inadvertently trained themselves to those words.

Izzy has never eaten from the floor around the other dogs because they all go from bowl to bowl and she wont push in, about two weeks ago she decided that she was now going to eat from the floor and doesnt even get on the bed (she started anti anxiety meds and now spends a bit more time on the floor so she will now follow me to the kitchen whilst I do the food instead of just already waiting on the bed)

So what's changed with my other dogs? What's the reason they will no longer eat until izzy has finished?
