I'm meeting with a GI tomorrow to begin the full gamut of testing. If I find out my lower esophageal sphincter is not working properly as was already verified by a barium swallow test, I'm going to pursue the path of surgery rather than being on medications or rigorous protocols for the rest of my life. Anyone know about this surgery or other surgeries?
Last night I woke up with what felt like liquid in my throat and mouth. Had a horrible taste. I didn't take Reflux Raft before bed. I'm wondering what works better for people before bed, Gaviscon Advance or Reflux Raft? I'm having super bad constipation at this point too and don't really know what to do and wondering if Reflux Raft is contributing. Been taking after meals.
I've been having the hardest time swallowing just over the past week, and I'm wondering it's from my voice box being strained from singing too loud and forced. I've been in band for a while. The past couple of weeks I've noticed I'm having a hard time swallowing following a practice and a show that I had. I'm the lead singer and I'm noticing vocal fatigue after five songs or so. Is this possible to have difficulty swallowing from vocal fatigue from singing to strained?
About a week ago, I was eating a tri-tip sandwich from where I worked. I was chewing like I normally do and it was like my throat wouldn't initiate a swallow and I was nearly choking on every bite. Since then, I've been noticing more and more my throat just feels really scratchy and like there is built up mucus that I'm struggling to swallow. Tonight I almost choked on a fry.

Our dog, who is named Kenji and is 13 years old, is not eating kibbles any longer when we feed her. They are Science Diet kibbles and we put just a little in with some human scraps for every meal. We've also been putting a little dental powder in and not had too many problems the past year or so.
For the past week, she hasn't been eating the kibbles. She was eating around them and then stopped eating altogether if the bowl had kibbles in it. She stopped wanting treats and her dental bones as well. She will only eat human food now, mostly meats and isn't really wanting to eat out her bowl as much.
On one of the days we noticed her not eating, she tried to bite me too while I was petting her and she never does that. She's a chiweenie and getting old. I'm wondering if it's dental decay, but I'm really scared of having her go under anethesia for a cleaning. I'm wondering if it's something else too. Any thoughts?

I purchased a new mattress in September. It is a $2,000 Sealy Posturpedic that is a medium firm mattress. Prior to getting the mattress, I was sleeping on a very old mattress with a memory foam topper and was having lower back pain. With this new mattress, with no topper, I'm still having back pain. I'm waking up super early with pain in the center of my back. Right now it's in the left center and it hurts no matter which position I lay in. I'm a side sleeper and need to find a solution. I can't afford another mattress. Please help!
