Job hunting

I’ve tried everything to land a job in Qatar.

I’m currently in the US and work in marketing at a prestigious company. My education and experience are great.

I can’t seem to even get an interview.

Is the job market that bad or am I doing something wrong?

Any advice/help is appreciated.

Looking for an expert report on country conditions

Not sure if this is allowed.

I’m looking for an expert report on the conditions in Syria (religion, persecutions, women rights violations), by someone who has credentials in political science or similar fields.

I’m based in the US but the expert can be anywhere in the world, as long as their credentials are accredited.

Hoping someone could help or if you know someone you could point me to.

*edit: willing to pay for the report

My asylum EAD got approved (banned countries)

Beyond grateful but a bit confused.
I thought applications for banned countries were not being processed?

It also got approved super quickly.

Very grateful, again, but wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience.

If not, then hopefully this is good news!

Nothing is working..

Ok so..

I come from a culture where we deeply believe in the evil eye. And there’s no other explanation to this. Why do I say that?

I had long, thick, beautiful hair my whole life. People would tell my mom to thin it out at the hairdresser because “it must be so much work”.

2024 is where it all went south. I started losing an insane amount of hair daily (pictured).

We got filters for our showers, started taking pumpkin seed oil, vitamin D, iron, you name it. I wasn’t sure I needed them and had no insurance at the time so I just got them over the counter.

I did bloodwork when I got insurance, everything is normal. I thought I would at least have iron deficiency but nothing.

I’ve always hair oiled, since I was a kid, and that never stopped. I hair oil, I massage my scalp, I keep it clean, etc.

I tried micro needling but didn’t work, it irritated my skin. Too scared to try minoxidil because of the shedding phase.

I’ve always trimmed my hair regularly but nothing seems to be working. I see babe hairs and growth but I’m not sure it’s retaining. It feels like I’m growing hair but I’m also losing double the amount.

I recently started GLOW p*petides. Too soon to tell but this journey is driving me crazy.

Desperately need advice, support or guidance.

I’ve had long, thick hair my whole entire life. People would think I had extensions all the time.

I ruined it.

I’ve been getting Brazilian/Japanese hair treatments for as long as I can remember with no issues.

November of 2025, I decided to DIY it and bought the shiseido perm off Amazon and I must’ve done it wrong or the product was bad, and I over-processed my hair for no damn reason.

I have the money but was being stingy at the time. I DEEPLY regret it. I’ve lost 80% of my hair. No exaggeration.

I’ve been trimming it and taking so much care of it in attempt to save what’s left on my head.

I’m taking pumpkin seed oil, oiling it regularly (as I always do), and just started using p*ptides, plus a healthy diet.

Anyone experienced this before? Any advice?

If not, then please don’t do what I did. You will regret it.

I’ve been applying to jobs for the past year with no luck.

I grew up in Qatar and would love to be able to move back with the education and experience I gained from the US.

Anyone hiring? (Paid media, marketing specialist, media planner)

Asylum interview scheduled.

Lawyer wants $2000 to attend now that they no longer allow dialing in/remote.

Worth it or no?

I work in marketing but my job is remote so I don’t get to network or see other professionals anymore.

Where do I start?

I’m (26f) in a long distance relationship and my boyfriend (31m) is not consistent with communication. We talk every couple of days, call once a week or so.

When we were physically together, communication was better but still not perfect. I’ve voiced that I need more communication in general.

We’ve broken up because of this issue last year, and we got back together.

I just don’t feel loved or secure anymore as this texting/calling should be the core of our relationship since he’s not here.

My heart is heavy and I haven’t gotten the chance to talk to him about it OR I keep pushing it because I don’t want to put pressure on him.

I love him and want to be with him but this is taking a toll on me. I just don’t know how to approach this again.

AIO for feeling unloved and insecure? Thinking that this is a pattern that’ll result in another breakup?
