What are creepy things you guys remember about the Sims 1?

The upside down head lady and the creepy mad scientist guy always freaks me out. Online theres some scary lore about a ugly monster upside down head. some people swore it smiled sometimes. just wondering if you have any creepy memories of the Sims 1. i love how its always carried this creepy beta/early computer 90s vibe. the dark, slightly dimm colour schemes.

How much money did you have saved before you left employment to start your Ltd company?

I’m senior technical level in my industry and leaving employment soon to start my Ltd company for a variety of reasons. my current workplace (where i’m a permanent employee) is so toxic i can barely even get through a single day anymore. i’m desperate to leave but i know i have to have enough saved, and it’s going to take a while.

i’ve got a three month notice period so i can’t even start pitching for contracts until the one month to go mark as no one is going to wait that long for a contractor.

how many months worth of savings did you have when you made the switch and how long did it take you to find your first contract?

How to navigate working off a 3 month PAYE notice before starting a outside ir35

i have 3 month notice period in my PAYE. for several reasons i will be setting up a LTD company and switching to outside ir35 and going to find work at a totally separate business. can u tell me:

  1. will i even get work as a contractor if i have to make them wait 3 months for me to start?
  2. will it be more of a risk to hand in my notice without securing my first outside ir35 contract?

**note i will have saved several thousand before this***

Tell me about your “great escape” from PAYE to Outside IR35?

please could you tell me about your exit from when you realised you’d had enough of being an employee? What was it like? What were you doing behind the scenes to prepare? How was it when you told your manager you were leaving? How much did you save up in the shadows before making the great leap? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

as the weeks months and years go by I feel my soul dying more and more at being treated like a school child or a dog by my employer.

I have worked incredibly hard to build specialist skills and qualifications and I’m more than equipped to start my own limited company in the next four-five months. i am saving up as much as I can before I do this so I have a lot to fall back on if the first contract goes west.

How to prepare for a house keeper coming?

I have hired a home organisation service to come as my halway and walk in is constantly messy. i sent her pics and she said she will defo be able to help. but i dont want to make her life difficult. out of courtesy what can i do to prepare for her? or should i leave everything as it is? i have random objects like tape measure, house plant soil, candy in the hallway, they all have a specific place in my house but she wouldnt know that. also there are clothes around the house, should i gather them all and put in the closet before she comes, or leave them there?

EDIT it is HOME ORGANISATION not a cleaner for clarity

cat is SCREAMING to leave my AC'd living room to get into the boiling corridor

Hey there, my cat is SCREAMING and scratching to get out of my living room, but its the only room that has AC. the other rooms are 28+ (83 farenieth) and no ventilation. she is getting incredibly distressed and agigtaed pulling at the door and yelping so loudly because i wont let her into the corridor. yesterday, she lay in the 28 degree corridor and ended up dangeously hot, floppy and i had to immediately cool her down infront of the AC.

The corridor is boiling hot, and humid but its dark and quiet. the AC in the living room is very loud
