Maple Syrup

Working on bringing this 10.5” 9mm A1 build to life and decided it needed some extra flair—so I painted the handguard and grip.

It’s got some Model 1928 Thompson vibes now, lol.

Xbox is hosting an opportunity to vote for which old games to bring back with backwards compatibility.

Gun was made in (2005) and is honestly one of the best western adventures I’ve ever played.

It was one of the first open world western games and came along years before Red Dead Redemption, and we finally have a chance to bring it to the current market, store and consoles.

Give it a vote!

a retro carry handle that ain’t like the rest

A retro carry handle that ain’t like the rest.

This build represents a short time in history when retro A1 stylized detachable carry handles were issued and in use at the turn of the century.

I present my close approximation early GWOT
CANSOF C8 CQB / L119A1 project that's nearly complete. 🍁

It's got rad features such as the Diemaco A1 stylized detachable carry handle. (which is unique from the rest-having classic retro field sight adjustments and a very unique profile.)

Another neat addition is the Colt Canada / Diemaco style charging handle extension latch in grey ano.

The vintage L3 Eotech 512 has been mounted to the
RAS for those old school JTF2 / CANSOF vibes.

Still hunting down a few parts to bring it full circle.

I was born in 2003, so I resonate with this build heavily.

SS N-23 Kitty Kat

"Hockey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side.”

Finished up dialing in the SS on this wacky wasteland build of mine to where I'd like the ROF to be and she's spicy.

910 RPM — 15.17 shots per second.

In love with the tano TA01 on top, just the right amount of zoom with irons still quickly accessible.

Might do a light in time, via fsb mount-or get really crazy and hose clamp an upgraded led maglite for extra vibes.

If any of you 9mm savants have any can recommendations I'd definitely hear you out.

Unable to post videos to any subreddit.

The post button is grey-ed out and has a bubble window next to it with three dots showing I can only post videos as gifs—but even when I try that it still won’t post.

Why can’t I post videos?

u/theworldofAR — 1 month ago

What’s the history behind this scope?

I was given this scope and told it has German origins but that’s about all I know.

WW2 era? This thing has immense patina and age.

Unable to to add videos in any subreddit. iOS

I'm currently unable to post videos in any subreddit.

Photos work fine, but whenever trying to post a video the (post) button is completely greyed out with a side bubble next to it with three dots.

When I click that, it only gives me the option to post as a gif.. but even when I do that it's still unable to post and grey'ed out.

What's the issue here?

Tim LaFrance firing his suppressed M16K in .45 ACP.

“Our new .45 ACP M16-K will be out June 1st. We used to make them from plate, and now we make them from our own forgings. Eventually, I’ll do a run of semi-auto M14-K’s with the M60 gas system on it for reduced recoil. We continue to offer our twin tube gas system for shorty M16’s, which increases reliability and a tungsten buffer which slows the cyclic rate to 650 rounds per minute. You can get both for $250 installed. We also make a tungsten buffer and a heavier spring for the Benelli shotguns and can shorten the barrels to 14 inches.”

Her Majesty’s Clone

here’s my close approximation Canadian 🍁 L119A1 (British Mk.18 Mod0) project that’s underway.

The coolest feature is the Diemaco A1 stylized detachable carry handle which is unique from the rest—having classic field sight adjustments and a unique profile.

Another neat addition is the Colt Canada / Diemaco style charging handle extension latch in grey.

I’ve got an old school 512 on the way to mount onto the RAS for those JTF2 / CANSOF vibes.

Bad Attitude makes some Canadian lowers that would look great, I’ll likely look into those.

I think these were 10.3” originally but I’ll likely rock the same 10.5” because I’m not that anal about it.

The Canadian RAS’s had an additional screw and clamp on the other half of the handguard, and if I ever find one of those it’d be a sick addition.

Robert Harward seemingly wearing a mask on Fox News..

You guys remember back when the CIA’s chief of disguise fooled the sitting president throughout a whole conference with a hyper-realistic mask?

That was the early 90’s..

imagine the advancement we have today.

PSA : Don’t forget to shave your upper shelf if needed.

I ran a whole mag today and it felt glorious.

1111 RPM.

Turns out I was chasing my tail on issues that might or might’ve not been the problem, because early on I somehow missed the lever binding up on this upper shelf.

Before coming to that realization—I added two extra tungsten weights to my buffer, a titanium firing pin, flatwire spring, shaved the internal buffer weight, & added a centering washer to my lever.

Nothing was consistent until I ran a dremel across this area and went over it with sandpaper until the lever wouldn’t bind there anymore during firing, and she runs like a sewing machine now.

So you *might* not need the titanium firing pin, flatwire spring, or any of the upgraded internals~but they certainly won’t hurt. Just know what you’re buying.

Mine was certainly a hard format to start with being a blowback build with such a shorty barrel, but perseverance pays off.

Big thanks to u/blowback9 for being our grand master jedi of AR9 research and SS troubleshooting.

Dead trigger after multiple attempted fixes.

Still struggling with my 7” SS build in 9mm.

Build list :

7” H&R RRA Retro N-23 / Kitty Kat Custom Upper

Colt Style 9mm Dedicated PSA Lower

KAK Enhanced 9mm Buffer Gold Top (3x Tungsten, 1x Steel weights internal)

KAK Flatwire Spring (w/ plastic plug at the rear)

Mercury / Davidson Defense 9mm Bolt (w/ internal weight shaved flush)

Davidson Defense Titanium Firing Pin

FUDD SS Kit (Cut Trigger, Cam, Lever)

Navy TA01 ECOS

Metalform Mags

What I’ve confirmed :

There is 1/8 clearance whenever the lever is lain backward and can trap a drill bit.

I have a “half shelf” lower and cannot add washers on either side of the cam~so I’ve placed a washer directly onto the lever to limit side to side movement. Front to back movement is fine.

There is no dead trigger phenomena in semi mode.

So far I’ve added tungsten weights, flatwire spring, and the titanium firing pin and I’m still getting the same results as before the mods.

Nearly ready to pull my hair out lol.

I thought I was pulling the trigger too hard, but whenever i lightened the grip and pull, it just became a complicated bump fire tool and would still go dead.
