Is it me or is running startups is so hard these days

Been in this sector for over a decade. Feels like things are getting harder and much more competitive. I don't even bother joining accelerators because of their intake stats are mind blowing.

We got enough traction with patent but maybe still not good enough

How do you evaporate your used ipa?

It seems like it's taking forever to expose it under the sun. Any hack? And must I watch over it all the time? Cos I don't have the privilege of having a car porch or backyard.

How to keep toddler preoccupied instead of watching the screen?

Summer is getting hotter and being outside is tough in S. Korea (35C - 39C). My 2.5yo daughter has been asking for more screen time and it's getting harder to say no, or find other activities. She seems to have very short attention span with most toys (under 10 mins) except for a few.

Below are some things I've been doing with her but do you have other better ideas?

* Playing Playdoh and artificial sand indoor - Longest attention span like 10 to 15 mins
* Indoor playgrounds - too crowded in Seoul and she's getting bored with it and sometimes refuses to go.
* Going to library
* Card games
* Pretend play - makeup, dress up, tea time, etc
* Puzzles
* Homemade tunnel
* Stickers
* Stamps
* Drawing/Colouring
* Reading books
* and more but each only consumes 3 to 10 mins of her time

We do rent toys at the gov center but we can only rent 2 toys each time. And running out of new toys at the center.

[CAN-BC] [H] Rotary Mouse – Sim Edition (Turns Your Mouse Into a Steering Wheel) [W] PayPal

Hi everyone,

I'm selling a Rotary Mouse Sim Edition, a mouse that can also be used as an analog steering wheel for PC racing and trucking sims.

The rotary wheel is mapped to steering input, giving much smoother control while still letting you use your keyboard for throttle, brake.

Features

  • Wireless 2.4 GHz USB receiver
  • Rotary wheel with tactile detents
  • Smooth analog steering using our Windows profile (vJoy + AutoHotKey)
  • Works as a normal mouse when you're not gaming
  • Silent left/right click buttons
  • Integrated middle click
  • 800 / 1200 / 1600 DPI
  • 59 g (without battery)
  • Uses one AAA battery

Supported Games

  • Assetto Corsa
  • BeamNG.drive
  • Euro Truck Simulator 2
  • American Truck Simulator
  • Live for Speed
  • Other PC driving games

We had a sim racing expert and coach to test drive the mouse on the Nürburgring in Assetto Corsa. You can find the demo on YouTube by searching "The Rotary Mouse Survives the Nürburgring Nordschleife".

Most users steer with the rotary wheel while using the keyboard for throttle and braking. Setup takes only a few minutes using the included software profile. I'm also developing a companion analog throttle and brake controller for the other hand.

The mouse also works as a regular productivity mouse and could scroll up to 2.5X faster than a standard mouse while providing tactile clicks.

Includes

  • Rotary Mouse – Sim Edition
  • USB wireless receiver
  • AAA battery
  • Setup guide

Making an auto centering scroll wheel

Im not a mech enginner. But I'm doing a DIY project to turn a mouse's scroll wheel into a slider. The wheel in the photo is not meant to turn 360 or 180. Just maybe 60 degrees. But I need the wheel to auto-center itself. So, I thought of using a tension spring and attaching it to the wheel axle as shown via a slit. The two ends of the spring will be fixed to a non-movable support. Do you think this will work to center the wheel to its resting position?

What mice has this sort of tension spring at the scroll wheel?

What mice has this exact torsion spring mechanism where each end of the spring sits near the wall that holds the scroll wheel vertical. The spring is used to control the middle button click. Sorry for the dirty look.

I'm not looking for spring replacement. I'm looking for cheap mice with same mechanism for DIY project.

Is there such thing as tailgate delivery? How do they actually find your car?

I'm exploring an idea about doing deliveries at car parks for tailgating. I wonder if you've seen this happening and how the pop-up shops know where you are in the vast parking lot?

What does it mean by fighting for your kids

If most courts usually rule 50/50 custody, what do spouses fight for normally?

Do you experience a sense of competition with ex over kids?

My marriage is kinda collapsing so I'm preparing for the future. I have a 2yo and I wonder if those who have divorced are experiencing a sense of competition for your kids, such as to win their hearts over your ex and to make them love you more than your ex.

If so, how do you manage and what have been the results of this struggle?

I have a 2yo daughter and I wonder how long it takes for you to put your toddler to sleep during bedtime stories? Like how many books or minutes?
