LinkedIn has become like a personal diary for people. Hardly I see any posts that are actually insightful. How do you feel about it and is it still worth growing your personal brand there if I don't want to post anything about my personal life?

31F: Rosemary oil vs rosemary hydrosol vs onion juice for thin/low-density hair?

My hair is quite long, but it isn’t very thick or “heavy.” The length is there, but I’d really like to improve the overall density/volume if possible.

I keep seeing rosemary recommended for hair growth, but I’m confused about which form actually works better. Has anyone here had noticeable results with rosemary oil or rosemary hydrosol/rosemary water? If so, which one did you use and how often?

I’ve also heard a lot about onion juice for hair growth. Has anyone actually tried it consistently and seen a difference in density, shedding, or new growth?

Would love to hear what worked (or didn’t work) for you. I’m open to other suggestions too!

PLEASE DON'T RECOMMEND MINOXIDIL OR ANY OTHER SUCH THING FOR NOW.

Does anyone else avoid romance books/movies because they make being single feel worse?

I’m 31F and I’ve been single for years. I’ve always loved reading books and watching movies about love and relationships, but lately I’ve started wondering if they’re actually making me more miserable.

I still genuinely enjoy a good love story, which is what makes this difficult. But after reading or watching one, I sometimes end up feeling sad or jealous because I don’t have that kind of love in my own life. And then I find myself thinking about relationships and being single even more.

I’m considering taking a break from romance altogether for a while; not because I’ve stopped believing in love or because I suddenly hate romance, but because I wonder if constantly consuming stories about something I really want but don’t currently have is making me focus too much on its absence.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did taking a break from romance books, movies, or relationship-related content actually help you feel more content with being single? Or did avoiding it just make you think about it more?

People often describe a spouse as their best friend, someone they’re attracted to, and someone they’ve chosen to share a life with. But what does love itself feel like to you beyond those things? What makes it different from deep friendship, attraction, or companionship?

Is marriage really just friendship + attraction + sharing a life? Where does love fit in?

I read something recently that basically said, “At its best, your spouse is your best friend; someone you’re sexually attracted to and choose to share your life with. That’s essentially what marriage is.”

And I get what it’s trying to say. In a way, it’s a pretty simple and practical description of marriage.

But it also made me wonder… is that really it?

Where does love come into the equation? Is romantic love simply the combination of deep friendship, sexual attraction, intimacy, and choosing to build a life together? Or is there something else that separates loving your spouse from just having all of those things with someone?

Curious how people who’ve been in long-term relationships or marriages see this.

Ladies, what was the moment that made you realize you had truly healed from a past relationship? Was it something big, or just a small everyday moment?

31F: Did I actually heal, or did I just bury it?

I'm 31 now.

When I was 21, I met a guy from my tuition classes that I really liked. One evening we met in a public garden just to talk. Nothing inappropriate happened between us.

A man (in late 30s or early 40s) approached us claiming he was a police officer. He questioned us, said we shouldn't be there, and threatened to take us to the police station and inform our families. After a while, he let us go. (I know we should have checked if he was really a police officer. He was wearing a jacket and khaki pants.)

The guy walked me close to my neighborhood and left.

A few minutes later, the same man found me again. He told me there were more police officers ahead and that if they saw me, they'd take me to the station and call my parents. My family was quite conservative, and I panicked.

He offered to drop me home. Instead, he took me elsewhere.

While riding the bike, he started touching me inappropriately over my clothes. Every time I cried or resisted, he threatened to call my father or take me to the police. He stopped in an isolated place, kissed me forcefully despite me crying, and forced my hand onto his genitals. He wanted to take me to a nearby empty plot, but he got a phone call before anything else happened. Eventually, he dropped me near my house.

I was in complete shock.

My parents were terrified, but they also scolded me for trusting a stranger. The guy I'd met kept calling me while I was gone and even came to my house afterward to make sure I was okay.

After that, my parents didn't allow me to talk to him anymore.

This is the part that has always confused me. What happened to me was horrible. I know that now.

But for the next two years, I think I grieved losing that guy more than I grieved the assault itself. I blamed myself for everything. I kept thinking that if I hadn't gone to meet him, none of this would have happened. Losing someone I genuinely liked consumed me. I barely thought about the assault itself unless something reminded me of it.

Eventually, I moved on or at least I thought I did.

I haven't been in a relationship since then. Not because I decided never to date again, but because I simply never met someone I wanted to be with. (I did try though) No one has touched me romantically since that incident.

Over the years, the memories became less frequent. I don't have nightmares. I don't think about that man every day. I can talk about what happened without breaking down.

So I always assumed I had healed.

But lately I've been wondering whether that's actually true, or whether I've just never been in a situation that would test it.

Is it possible that I've processed it, or have I simply avoided every circumstance that could bring those feelings back?
